caged
Vlad gaped at the TV. About a week ago, Luciano got on national TV. The world was looking for the girl, and soon, they would find her.
True to his word, everyday his wife remained missing, he killed people. First the Mexicans, then the Russians. Him. And when Luciano found her...
He was trapped. Like a bird in a cage. There was nowhere he could go. So either he opened the door himself, or Luciano would rip it open, and punishment would be much worse.
Fiona stumbled into the room, noticing the look on Vlad's face.
"What?"
"Surrender my wife, and I will spare you a painful death. Come out, come out wherever you are. Fiona," She paled, her breath catching.
"And Vlad. Give up now. Give her to me. Unless of course, you want me to find you?"
He grinned manically into the camera.
"You have twenty four hours to surrender your location. Use that time wisely."
The news reporter rattled off the statistics. More than 600 deaths in the last week alone. Twenty captures. Six fires.
Thirty innocents, caught in the crossfire.
Both Fiona and Vlad were crazy with worry.
They're eyes dated to the in the screen. The TV showed her picture, heathy smiling. The monitor revealed a different story. Blood surrounded the frail and unconscious woman.
"Tell him. Luciano will not break his promise."
