After the food was served, they ate in silence and Gideon, on the other hand, won't get his hands off his sister. He glued to her and refused to let go.
Even when eating, one hand crossed hers, and he brought his seat so close to hers. Without uttering a word, they knew how it was going to affect him.
Finally, they finished eating and Mia carried the plates, but Gideon insisted on doing it instead. He hurriedly finished and went back to his sister's side.
Jenny followed Mia to the room and they both folded clothes one after the other. Whenever Mia picked what Jenny considers rubbish, they would both argue. There was no way, she would let Mia wear rags in a rich man's home.
Later, They all left the house to a shopping mall. Jenny knew Mia too well and, so, insisted on following.
“Only God knows, you won't have picked a single thing here.” Jenny commented.
“They are expensive.” Mia cried out after checking out the price of one gown she picked.
Jenny was so fuming with anger.
“Still, you are taking this gown along.” Jenny dragged it out of her hand and walked away to the other side of the blocked lane. The store really does have nice clothes.
With the money Mark had given to her, Mia picked some night wears and underwear, Jenny forced her to get a few new clothes too.
While selecting for herself, Mia bought clothes for her brother as well as shoes too. She also wanted to get for Jenny, but she refused to get any with the claims of having enough clothes already.
In a way, she wasn't lying. It has just been two weeks ago she went shopping and got new clothes so, she used that to escape Mia's pressure.
Jenny was, in a way, glad that Mia got the job because, it would help her friend enjoy life. She would live in a rich men world and enjoy getting expensive things.
The shopping was over and at the end, Mia didn't get all the clothes selected, she returned some. Jen had a frown on as they walked out of the mall with a few bags.
It was mostly clothes for Gideon.
“I have two more places to go. You can head home with these bags, okay? I will catch up later.” She said to Jenny and Gideon, who were just a few steps away.

Eunice was dancing when Mark came from behind, unknown to her. When she took three steps, she would open the curtains to check, and it made her dad confused as he also followed her to peep outside too. He saw nothing exciting, it was just completely normal. The security men were the only ones seen, roaming around the wide compound.
“Are you expecting something or someone? You have been looking out the window and making your weird dancing steps.” And that made Eunice jump as she held her chest while panting.
“Dad! For how long have you been there?” She asked, walking away, and Mark followed.
“Long enough to see my daughter is a terrible dancer. Please never let anyone else see that.” Mark teased and Eunice burst into laughter.
“Not fair dad. Not fair at all… A little compliment won't be bad. Something encouraging. I might become the world's best dancer someday.” Eunice defended, but her dad's reaction made her pride scatter.
“You say?” Mark burst into laughter and pretended to be choked too, “Yeah, someday, I'm sure you will not only be the best but a legend.” He added.
Eunice frowned and rolled her eyes. She knew he was making fun of her. He couldn't even hold in the laughter anymore. But she was glad that he was laughing.
Over the past few days since Mia came into their lives, things have changed. She barely saw her dad drink, and she didn't even know her mother wasn't around. Her presence really changed things. Even when her father drinks, he minds the quality. And it made her so happy.
“Dadddd…” Eunice called out with furrowed brows, and Mark immediately stopped.
“Sorry baby. I wasn't laughing, honestly. I only remembered a joke.” Mark lied with a fake smile.
“Not true. You are lying to me.” And the way Eunice kept her face, he couldn't help but keep laughing.
“Okay. I'm sorry.” He bent to give her a kiss on her cheek.
“You're forgiven.” She muttered.
As they both headed to the living room, Mark asked again. Their long, silly conversations made him almost forget. Or maybe, his daughter wanted him to, and he wasn't going to let her win.
“What are you expecting? Did you order pizza?” He asked, knowing how his daughter loves pizza.
“No dad. I didn't make any order…. I was waiting for her.” Eunice responded with a smile.
Mark almost forgot about Mia and raised his brow in confusion, “Her?” He asked, “Who are you referring to?”
“My nanny, of course.” She answered.
He then remembered she had only gone back to get her belongings. It didn't occur to him that she was actually referring that to her nanny. He just couldn't believe his daughter's excitement. Eunice used to be barely cheerful whenever her mum's at home, but for an ordinary maid, she is dancing.
“Okayyy?” He needed more explanation as to why she was eagerly waiting for her nanny.
“Nothing.” She answered so innocently and bounced on a sofa not far from where they were standing.
Mark didn't ask anymore. He was in the study when Mia left. Not sure if she made any promise to his daughter. But she was supposed to have returned already. It's not like he doesn't have everything in his house. She was only going back to get her personal belongings and that was all.
He took his phone out of his pocket to call her, but then, he stopped himself instantly.
Why was he giving a hoot about her? After all, he gave her money. She might have taken the money and left for good. He only feels bad for his daughter, who is already getting attached to her.
She might have been a spy or some kind of villain? He just wasn't comfortable anymore. Or could it have been because of the sudden feelings he was developing?
“Okay. I won't think this.” He concluded in his mind and went to join his daughter.
The only thing that made him worry was that, it seemed, his daughter was getting too attached to her nanny. He hasn't gotten much on Mia but, he was surly going to get all the information soon. He doesn't want his daughter to be a victim of fake people. Mia might be one is using his daughter.
Just then, Mia opened the door and walked in. The security men carried her luggage. They were just two luggages, a big bag and then, a mini sized handbag she held on to.
Mark was a little miffed.. From the money he had given, she didn't get anything new. Her clothes were old from the look of things. Though, she only managed to a pair of sandals, the one she wore and also, visited a salon because, her hair looked treated. He wasn't even sure if the sandals were new because, it might be from her former things.
He couldn't get his eyes off her as Eunice, ran to welcome her with a hug. Likewise, he kept scanning her thoroughly for any sign.
But still, he just wasn't satisfied and was curious as to what she had used all he gave her for when, she dragged the big back closer, put her hand inside and brought out a large big Barbie toy.
