“Tell me how much?” He asked again, but his words made no sense to Mia. She wasn't selling anything, she was only dancing to entertain him.
“Maybe he's too drunk to know that.” She thought to herself and decided to move away from him as she went to another corner of the room to continue her dance.
A few minutes later the drunk man, who happened to be Mark, left the room and only then did Mia calm down.
“Heww.” She exclaimed once he left. Today was one heck of a day for her as she had met many crazy people. The ugly drunk, a stupid harassing man, a boss who surveys her girls by touching them and now a drunk man.
“What could be worse than all this?” She left the VIP and went to join the other girls.
“Hey girl, you're new here, right?” A girl with pink hair asked Mia.
“Yeah, I'm new. I needed a job badly and…”
“Sorry, I have to go. My daddy's here.” She pointed towards an older looking man who seemed wealthy.
“Okay…” Mia replied after she had already gone. “Isn't a stripper supposed to only dance.” She thoughts as she went to entertain some more men.
Inside the manager's office, the half drunk Mark was trying to talk to the manager about the girl he had just seen in the VIP section.
“Who is she?” He asked, his eyes half closed.
“I'm sorry, we don't disclose private information about our workers.” The manager who was doing some paperwork now faced Mark, trying to explain everything to him.
Well, it was the club's policy that all strippers be masked up to avoid their true identity being revealed unless a client wanted to know them deeper than just them being entertained. Or a stripper who is already know and doesn't wish to hide it from the world.
“I want to know more about her, can I have that information?” He pulled out a bundle of cash and dumped it on the table.
The manager's eyes widened as she picked up the cash to confirm if it was real.
“Well, I can help you with a little bit of information.” Her sinister smile grabbed Mark's attention as he sat up to listen to her words.
At Mark's house, Eunice and Queen were having so much fun.
“Let's watch some more.” Eunice pleading eyes tried to convince the Queen.
“I'm sorry, I don't want your dad to get mad. We can continue some other time, okay? I'll put you to sleep.” Queen didn't want to hurt the young girl. However, she couldn't disobey Mark's orders.
“Okay, if it makes you feel any better, we can get a blanket and pillows, so we can sleep here.” Queen suggested.
“Are you serious?” Eunice sipped her drink, her eyes sparkling in happiness.
“Yeah I am.” Queen stood up to accompany Eunice and the next minute, they returned with the blanket and pillows.
They arranged the bedsheet and placed the pillows, so they could get enough rest.
“Can you tell me a story…” Eunice was about to plead with her when Queen brought her phone.
“I have a story app here.” She smiled, unlocking her phone as she handed it to Eunice to pick what story she wanted to hear.
“This one.” Eunice picked on the silly princess and the monstrous prince.
“Once upon a time…” Queen began and Eunice, who had begged for the story, stayed in a comfortable lying position to hear what Queen was reading out.
Back to the club, Mark was still in the manager's office.
“So tell me, can I have her?” Mark struggled to speak; he wasn't that drunk, but the drink had taken a toll on him.
“It all depends on you.” The manager smiled inwardly. She had never imagined that someone who it was just her first time would receive such a big client that was interested in her.
“Look ma'am, I'm ready to do anything, I can assure you.” Mark said again.
“Can I arrange someone else, she's new, and she's…”
“No, just her.” He relaxed his back on the seat as his eyes gazed at the manager in the not so bright room.
“Very well.” She sighed as she phoned someone to come into the room.
Mark was hopeful, he thought it was her, but all hope came crashing down when a male entered the office. Without even letting her speak, he said…
“Is this a joke, I want a woman, and you're bringing me a…” his words abruptly stopped when the lady told him she was trying to bring the girl.
“Hey, bring me the new girl.” She ordered and within a blink of an eye, the man had gone out.
Mark was quite shocked to see that a woman managed a club, but he was convinced that she was able to instill fear and put the club in order.
Mia, on the other hand, was still performing when a young guy called her. He was wearing a black suit and had an earpiece on his ear. From the look of things, he was either a spy or one of the bodyguards in the club.
“The manager wants to see you.” His words were simple and short, but were somehow able to instill fear and worry in her.
From the look on her face, you could see fear and thoughts on why her manager could be calling on her.
“Did she look angry? Did I do something wrong? What did she say?” She yanked on the guard's arm and couldn't stop asking questions.
“I don't know, you'll find out when you get to her office.” His words didn't even help Mia calm down. Her eyes darted around and the sound of her pounding heart could be heard in her ears despite the loud music in the room.
She felt dizzy everywhere around her, but she decided to be strong and face whatever came her way. She didn't know if this was a good thing or if she was about to get fired, but she prayed that the second one wouldn't happen.
She slowly dragged her feet to the door of the office, and the longer she stood there, she got a sick feeling in her tummy.
After standing there for about a few minutes, she finally gathered enough courage to knock on the door.
“Come in.” The masculine female voice of her boss ushered her in.
She walked into the dull room, which seemed like the light had been dimmed on purpose. Her face scanned the room until it rested on her manager and…
Her eyes widened as her conscience screamed in her head,
'The man from earlier!'
“Umm, this man here finds you eye-catching and wants you here to himself for the night.” Mark, who was listening to the manager, smirked happily.
“But ma'am, I thought that wasn't…” Mia didn't finish her sentence.
“If you want to get paid, you have to do as you're told.” She warned, and Mia couldn't help but stare at the man who was about to cost her job.
“Accept the offer.” The manager's voice had become calm, but somehow, she was still able to make Mia scared.
“Don't worry, I'm willing to pay thrice of anything you ask tonight.” Mark gave a maniac grin in the darkness.
