Difficult to Differentiate
Morgan, who was next to Stevan, was very surprised to hear the king's sudden statement. "Oh no! The king is really serious about what he said yesterday," he thought to himself while staring at the king.
"Who will the king marry?" Enzo suddenly dared to speak up.
Stevan's gaze shifted to Enzo. A serious and tactful gaze. "I will marry Alexandra," he said openly.
Enzo raised his eyebrows. Between surprise and disbelief at the king's words. All the ministers and palace officials whispered to each other. They guessed who the king meant. "There's no way the king means the Alexandra I know. It must only be the name that's the same," Enzo said to himself.
"If I may ask, which clan is she from, King?" asked one of the palace ministers.
"She is my personal servant. And she is not from a noble clan," Stevan said, further surprising the entire palace hall.
Enzo's heartbeat seemed to stop that very second. He still couldn't believe that the woman the king would marry was the Alexandra he knew, the only woman he loved right now.
Stevan observed the change in Enzo's facial expression. There was a sense of satisfaction in him. He felt like a winner who could get Alexandra. The meeting was over. Stevan immediately left the palace hall area. He didn't care about the various questions or objections from the palace officials. His decision was final to publicise his relationship with Alexandra.
Morgan continued to follow Stevan from behind. The two of them walked towards the king's private room. He looked for a gap to be able to talk to the king. When he saw the king was relaxed in his room, he immediately approached. "King, is it okay if you tell them about your marriage plans with Alexandra?" he said while sitting in the chair in front of Stevan.
"There won't be a problem. Who dares to fight me?" Stevan answered confidently while leaning his back on the chair.
Morgan smiled at the king's answer. "You're right. No one will dare to fight you." The atmosphere between the two of them then became silent. Until suddenly the sound of the door opening made both of them turn towards the door.
“Alexandra, what are you doing?” asked Morgan, who saw Alexandra just standing in the doorway with her eyes wide open as if she were surprised. While Stevan just kept quiet while observing Alexandra's movements.
“I want to meet the king,” said Alexandra nervously.
Stevan frowned. He was a little suspicious of Alexandra's current behaviour. There was a difference in the way the woman spoke and behaved. Not like usual. “Strange. Since when has Alexandra been nervous in front of me?” He was still silent and observing. Suddenly he thought of something.
“Why are you silent? Come in!” said Morgan, who also felt strange with Alexandra's attitude this time.
Alexandra then entered the room. Her face continued to look down, not daring to look at the king and Morgan, making Morgan confused. “What do you need to see me for?” asked Stevan without the slightest smile. In fact, his face looked so cold, as if he were meeting an enemy.
“Strange. What happened to the two of them?” thought Morgan, who was observing the two of them.
Alexandra began to dare to lift her face, looking at the king. Her gaze then turned to the side of the king, precisely looking at Morgan. Stevan, who understood what Alexandra meant, immediately told Morgan to leave his room. "Go first. I want to talk to Alexandra," said Stevan, looking at Morgan.
"Of course, King." Morgan then stepped out of the king's private room.
After seeing Morgan leave, Stevan approached Alexandra. "What do you want to talk to me about, Alessia?" he asked with an intimidating look.
"How does the king know it's me? Is my body odor still clearly visible? Even though I've tried to remove it and change everything to be exactly the same as Alexandra," Alessia thought while looking at Stevan.
"Why are you silent? Talk to me!" said Stevan again.
"I want to ask about my duties in this palace. Apart from being your personal servant, what should I do?" asked Alessia.
"Nothing. That's your only duty," replied Stevan with his cold expression.
"Do I also need to pretend to have a close relationship with you like Alexandra?" Alessia began to dare to ask something quite challenging.
"Do you dare to do that?" Stevan stared closely at Alessia's face.
"Of course I dare," Alessia answered confidently.
Stevan smiled when he heard it. "But unfortunately I won't let you do that to me. Even to touch my body, I won't let you.”
Alessia was silent when she heard the king's words. She felt disappointed and sad. However, she tried to control her facial expression to remain calm. "I understand. I will obey your orders, King."
"Good. Go back to your room. I have prepared your room. From now on, Alexandra's room is your room. Never come out before I tell you to." Stevan then turned his back to Alessia, facing the window. His thoughts were now focused on Alexandra. What was the woman doing now?
"Then I will return to my room first, King." Alessia excused herself from leaving the king's private room.
Stevan turned towards the door. "Strange. What did she do that her scent is exactly the same as Alexandra's? I even have a hard time distinguishing her from Alexandra. If I hadn't paid attention to her movements, I might have mistaken her," he thought as he saw Alessia's shadow disappear from behind the door.
