Chapter 106 Now Husband And wife 2

Chapter 106 Now Husband And wife 2
NADIA

We were standing side by side while the judge said everything that needed to be said.

We listened attentively, but I had the impression that Dean was watching me out of the corner of his eye, and my impression was confirmed when I looked at him and he smiled.

"You can say your vow," said the judge, smiling.

I had written and memorized a huge text with several sappy words, and to my surprise and frustration, when I tried to remember them now, they simply wouldn't come to mind.

"I forgot everything," I whispered to myself, feeling nervousness take hold of me.

Dean seemed to notice and gently stroked my hands as he began to recite his vows first.

"My dearest and beloved Nadia," he said, making me look into his passionate blue eyes.

"They say everyone has their soulmate. Before I met you, I thought that was nonsense, pure invention of deluded people, but that thought vanished as soon as I fell in love with you.

It wasn't a simple feeling, but an immensity of inexplicably wonderful sensations.

The days by your side were the best of my life. You fixed me, saved me, and above all, loved me, and I suppose you still do."

He stopped, waiting for me to confirm, and I nodded, letting the tears roll freely down my face.

Loving isn't unusual, but being loved is.

Many people fall in love every day, but few have their passions reciprocated, and being among the minority who receive that love makes me the luckiest man in the world.

Not that I mean to say that others aren't lucky, in fact, I do want to be, because they don't have you as I do.

The guests laughed, including me.

Yes, you are a precious thing, my angel, the only woman who managed to penetrate this heart of mine, before you, was a cold and lonely man.

You made me think about the future, and this future that I imagine doesn't exist without you, and that's why I want you in joy and in sorrow, in health and in sickness, in wealth and in poverty, and even in death I will love you forever, but I won't hold you back, and that's why I say, until death do you part from me.

He fell silent, but his eyes remained fixed on mine.

I blinked a few times, brushing away my tears, and took a deep breath before saying what my heart felt.

"Well..." I smiled awkwardly.

"Before I tell this handsome man before me how special he is to me, I must confess that I had a speech prepared in my head, but due to all my nervousness about marrying the man of my life, I ended up forgetting everything, so I'm going to improvise and say everything my heart wants to confess, so here we go..."

I took a deep breath and smiled before starting.

"Dean, you are my first love, and they say you never forget your first love, thankfully. Can you imagine if I had a former murderer as my first love?" We laughed at my joke.

"But it's not the fact that you made my heart race for the first time since I was born that makes you special.

Actually, that helped a little, but not as much as the fact that you're the only man who loved me completely, loved my craziness, loved my obsession, loved my stubbornness, loved my pride, and loved my sin and it doesn't end there, because you not only loved me, you also healed me, you took me out of a life where uncertainties consumed me, where throwing myself into darkness didn't worry me, and the worst part is knowing that without you I would sink into my own madness and get lost in the sadness of not knowing what love does to me."

And it is thanks to your love that I can affirm that today I am healed from something that for many years suffocated me and made me a prisoner of my own body.

Not that I want to bring up sad memories in this beautiful moment we are experiencing; what I really want to show is that without you I am nothing.

I love you, my love, and that is why I want to be by your side in joy and in sorrow, in health and in sickness, in wealth and in poverty, and as you said, I will also love you even after death, and that is why death will not separate us, and if there is a paradise, that is where we will meet again to continue our love that will last for eternity.

And after we exchanged our rings, the judge said to us:

"I now pronounce you husband and wife"

You may kiss the bride.

And so we drew closer and sealed our lips, to love each other forever.

It was in that kiss that I knew that being by Dean's side, I could overcome any barrier, whether physical or emotional.

Ultimately, our love healed us and brought us that rare happiness that so many seek to achieve.

And to you, I only have one thing to say.

Never give up on love; it might be closer than you think, and when you find it, you'll know what I feel for Dean and the power that true love has to change us for the better.
