Chapter 154: The Groom’s Side of the Story

Chapter 154: The Groom’s Side of the Story
Travis’s POV

Planning a wedding was not something I ever thought I’d be doing.

But fuck—

If it meant seeing Sophia walk toward me in that dress, if it meant making her officially mine, if it meant a lifetime of mornings in our bed, evenings in our home, forever by her side—

Then yeah, I’d sit through every damn conversation about floral arrangements, seating charts, and catering menus.

I’d do it with a fucking grin on my face.

Because this wasn’t just a wedding.

This was ours.

The morning was spent going over final details with my dad and the guys.

The backyard was getting set up with a tent, fairy lights, and a dance floor.

The flowers? Handled.

The food? Ordered.

The bar? Stocked.

The only thing left was what we’d be wearing.

And apparently—

That required an entire damn shopping trip.

"I don’t get why we can’t just wear whatever," Adam muttered as we walked into the high-end menswear boutique.

Luke rolled his eyes. "Because we’re not degenerates, Adam."

"Speak for yourself," Adam shot back. "I look fantastic in jeans and a T-shirt."

"You look like someone who just lost a bet and had to sleep in a dumpster for a week," Luke countered.

My dad snorted, shaking his head as he walked ahead of us. "Stop bickering and pick a damn suit."

I followed, already knowing exactly what I wanted.

Because fuck—

If Sophia was wearing the dress of her dreams, then I was damn well making sure I looked worthy of standing next to her.

The boutique was quiet, elegant, filled with suits that probably cost more than Adam’s car.

The tailor greeted us, immediately recognizing my last name.

"Mr. Cole," he said smoothly. "We’ve been expecting you. Everything is prepared as per your specifications."

Adam arched a brow, turning toward me. "Wait. You already picked your suit?"

I shrugged. "Of course I did."

"When?"

"You planned your suit a month ago, but you still won’t confirm your goddamn vows?" Luke asked, shaking his head.

"Priorities," I smirked. "First, I look good. Then, I make sure I don’t sound like an idiot."

"Bold of you to assume you can accomplish either of those things," Adam muttered.

The tailor led me to the fitting room, pulling out the suit I had custom-ordered.

And fuck—

It was perfect.

A sleek, classic black tuxedo, with a subtle silk finish, tailored to perfection.

The white dress shirt underneath was crisp, clean, and the tie?

Deep royal blue—the same color Leah and Claire had chosen for their dresses.

A small nod to the people who had been with us through everything.

And the pocket square?

White.

Because fuck—

Sophia liked things clean, elegant, timeless.

And when I saw myself in the mirror, I knew.

She was going to love this.

I stepped out of the fitting room, adjusting my cuffs.

My dad took one look at me and nodded approvingly. "Now you look like a man about to marry the love of his life."

"Damn," Adam muttered, grinning slightly. "You almost look respectable, Cole."

"Almost," Luke smirked.

I ignored them, focusing on my dad. "What about you? You picking something new, or you going classic?"

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Your mother already picked something out for me. If I argued, she’d make me sleep outside."

Adam grinned. "Smart man."

Luke turned to Adam. "What about you? You going classic?"

Adam smirked. "I’m going sexy."

I groaned, rubbing my temples. "Jesus Christ."

Despite his usual bullshit, Adam actually picked a solid suit—charcoal gray, perfectly fitted, sharp lines, clean cut.

Luke went for a deep navy, subtle but sleek.

And my dad?

Classic black and white, because apparently, that’s just what Cole men did.

"Alright," Adam said, grinning as we all stood in front of the mirrors. "Now we just have to make sure Travis doesn’t run for the hills before the wedding."

"Not happening," I muttered.

"Really?" He arched a brow. "You? The man who never thought he’d get married? The man who once said marriage was ‘a legal scam for people who don’t know how to break up properly’?"

I exhaled slowly, looking at my reflection.

At the suit.

At what it meant.

And fuck—

I didn’t hesitate.

"That was before her," I said simply. "Everything before her doesn’t matter anymore."

Silence.

Then—

"Jesus," Adam muttered, grabbing his chest. "You’re disgusting."

Luke chuckled. "He’s in love, man. Let him be."

My dad just smirked, clapping me on the shoulder. "That’s my boy."

When we got back home, the house was quiet.

The girls were still out, probably celebrating the dress situation.

I stepped onto the back patio, my dad following, both of us looking out at the garden.

The place where we’d be getting married.

The place where I’d be starting forever with her.

"Never thought I’d see the day," my dad said after a long pause.

"What?" I asked.

"You settling down." He turned toward me, his expression steady, knowing. "I always knew you had it in you. Just took the right woman to bring it out."

I swallowed hard, watching the breeze move through the trees, the place where Sophia and I would soon stand, where she’d say yes to forever.

"She’s everything, Dad," I murmured. "She’s my whole fucking world."

My dad nodded. "Then make damn sure you never forget that."

And fuck—

I never would.
