Chapter 151 Unexpected Situation
After the wedding, both of them were exhausted. When Leopold walked into the bedroom with a glass of water, he saw Caroline already lying in bed, fast asleep.
Leopold helped Caroline wash her face and wipe her hands and feet following her usual makeup removal routine, then tucked her in and quietly closed the bedroom door.
He went to the living room, turned on the TV with the volume at its lowest, and dialed a number.
"How are the preparations going?"
Allegra didn't answer directly. "Congratulations."
"Thanks."
After that, there were a few seconds of silence on the line. Allegra knew he had little patience with her, and their contact now was limited to work matters only.
"My team is very efficient. Everything was arranged yesterday. Now it depends on when you plan to leave."
Leopold glanced back at the closed door. "Give me two more days. You know I just got married."
Allegra said, "That's fine, but it's best if you can get back within a week. I have an important project that needs my attention."
She gave him a deadline - within a week.
"Got it."
After hanging up, Leopold opened his laptop, his fingers flying across the keyboard, leaving line after line of text in the document.
When Caroline woke up, she felt heavy-headed and light-footed, as if all her energy had been drained. She sat on the edge of the bed for a while before getting up to open the curtains.
Outside, the sky was dark as ink, stars twinkling, moonlight spreading across the entire city, making everything seem especially peaceful.
She opened the bedroom door and saw Leopold leaning on the sofa working. She walked barefoot behind him, covered his eyes with both hands, and whispered in his ear, "Leaving me alone in the room on our wedding night - shouldn't you be punished for that?"
Below his high nose bridge, his thin lips curved into a beautiful smile.
Leopold said, "I should be punished."
Caroline asked, "Any punishment is okay?"
"Any punishment."
Caroline slid down beside him. "Good. Tell me one of your secrets."
Leopold closed his laptop and placed it on the coffee table. His long fingers grasped her wrist, his voice coming from his throat, sexy and low.
"I need to tell you my secret mouth-to-mouth."
With those words, he removed the hands covering his eyes, wrapped his arm around Caroline's waist, and with a little force, pulled her onto his lap.
Face to face, with the TV light flickering, she looked into his eyes filled with deep love, unable to pull herself away. He held the back of her head and pressed forward. She could feel his defined fingers brushing across her scalp and into her hair, the tiny sounds rubbing against her ears, almost instantly making the hair on her arms tremble. Countless cells in her body began to excitedly clamor as he easily captured her lips, from gentle pecks to increasingly intense grinding.
Leopold was very good at foreplay, making one fantasize about what would come next, filled with anticipation.
Silky wetness moistened the dry desire, wanting nothing more than to squeeze the sponge full for satisfaction.
The movements grew bigger, accompanied by perfectly timed music, clothes falling away, the storm approaching.
She whimpered softly in pain, but he showed no sign of stopping. The strong sense of conquest gave them an unprecedented experience, making the final moment indescribably wonderful.
They had originally planned a honeymoon trip, but Leopold was so busy with work that he couldn't spare much time to go far. A nearby road trip would also take time and energy, driving, and they'd have to drag their tired bodies to work when they got back. After discussing it, they decided to rest at home.
But during those three days, they tried making love in different places, never getting tired, taking without limit.
The trash can was filled mostly with condoms. By the last day, Caroline would try to run whenever she saw Leopold approaching, but the room was only so big. She couldn't get far before he'd pick her up and throw her on the bed.
She traveled between pain and pleasure, with the final memories all being incredibly satisfying.
Erica had once asked her a question, "Between men and women, who gets addicted to the other's body more easily?"
Caroline hadn't had any experience then and didn't know how it felt.
Now, she could answer. Based on her situation with Leopold, men seemed more likely to get addicted.
Three days later, they went to visit the Tudor family. Leopold arrived at the Tudor family home loaded with gifts.
Elysia's eyes lit up with a smile when she saw them. Elijah chatted with them briefly before leaving for work.
Actually, having your parents' home nearby was really wonderful. One of Caroline's friends had married far away, and because of the distance, she hadn't been back to her parents' home in a long time. Now, if her parents got sick or something, she couldn't help at all.
Caroline leaned on Elysia's shoulder. "Mom, haven't seen you for three days - did you miss me?"
Elysia smiled and glanced at her. "When you're working, you only come see me once a week. Why are you asking if I missed you after just three days?"
Caroline acted cute. "Mom!"
"So clingy. Yes, I missed you. Is that okay?" Elysia pushed her back onto the sofa and asked Leopold, "There were so many people at the wedding that day, and you were so busy. These past few days, Elijah and I didn't call you because we thought you were too tired and wanted to let you rest more."
Leopold smiled warmly. "Thank you for being so considerate, Mom. I'm fine." He looked at Caroline. "Caroline was the one who had it hard, wearing such a heavy wedding dress and running around with me."
Elysia said, "You just keep protecting her. It's not like I didn't see you rubbing her feet after toasting the guests." She then addressed Caroline, "With so many people around, weren't you afraid of people laughing at you?"
Caroline looked at Leopold with a meaningful expression. "What did I say at the time? I told you not to rub them, but you insisted. I said my mom would definitely bring this up, and you didn't believe me. Now I'm getting scolded."
Leopold leaned forward to refill Elysia's coffee. "Mom, have some coffee. Don't blame Caroline for this - I was the one who wanted to rub her feet. Those high heels were so tall, I got tired just looking at them. You don't know, Caroline's feet were swollen from standing. It broke my heart to see it."
Elysia said, "Even so, you shouldn't rub her feet in front of so many people. Many of them are your business contacts - don't let it affect you."
"Mom, it won't. Even if it does affect anything, it'll be a good effect." Leopold handed Caroline a peeled apple and said, "Real businessmen all value loving their wives. When the wife is happy, the family is harmonious. So men who love their wives are the ones who succeed."
Elysia nodded with a smile. "Even though Leopold says that, you should still be more considerate of him."
Caroline took a bite of the apple. "I know, Mom."
Although Elysia seemed to be criticizing Caroline, in her heart she was giving Leopold extra points.
While they were talking, Leopold's phone rang. He glanced at the number and stood up. "Mom, I need to take this call."
Walking to the window, Leopold's tone was flat. "What is it?"
Allegra said, "My client has an emergency. The schedule needs to be moved up. We have to leave the day after tomorrow."
Leopold was silent for a moment. "I understand."
