24: Who am I?
The sound of the peaceful waves in the sea was what the woman dreamed of for several days without consciousness. He had deep wounds on his face and wounds on his body.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was an old woman.
The old woman hurriedly called the nurse when she saw that the patient was conscious.
"Nurse, he's awake!"
A woman wearing a scrub suit entered. The woman just stared straight at the old man and the nurse who approached.
"Good afternoon, how are you feeling?" the nurse asked kindly, before taking his blood pressure. He also checked its body temperature.
"M-My face hurts..." The woman felt her face and put the gauze on it. He even wondered why he had a wound there.
"Ma-My head hurts too." It blinked before looking around. The room is spacious and airy. The door to the terrace is open. The white curtain moves with the wind.
He was lying on a huge, antique bed. Everyone in the room he was in was proud.
"Where am I?"
"You are on an island in Romblon."
"R-Romblon?" He frowned as his wounds hurt more and more.
"What happened to me?"
"Who are you? Who are you?!"
He felt scared because of the unfamiliar room he was in and the unfamiliar faces.
"Just relax... Do you remember your name?" the nurse asked him calmly.
"How are you..."
The woman's head hurt.
"How are you..."
"My name is..."
He stared for a moment. He was also stunned for a few minutes while scratching in his mind the right words for the woman's simple question to him.
"W-Who am I? I don't know my name!"
He started crying. The fear in his chest grew even stronger now that even his name and identity he did not know. He tried to remember it. But nothing really entered his mind. Who is he and what happened to him?
"Calm down, hija..." said the old man. The woman couldn't stop crying anymore. The whole mansion heard its loud howling.
"Who am I? What is my name?"
He held both of the old man's arms and asked him that question over and over again.
"What's happening here?" asked a baritone voice. The owner of that voice was standing by the door. He was wearing a white button down long sleeve that was folded up to his elbow. His gray eyes turned dark when he saw the woman crying. It's awake.
The girl felt even more confused when she saw another unfamiliar face.
"W-Who are you? W-Who am I?"
The man walk straight until he reach the edge of the bed.
"Leave us," he ordered the old man and the nurse. When they left, he approached the woman who had been staring at him in surprise.
"Do you know who I am? I don't know my name. Do you know my name?"
From the frown, there was a sparkle in its eyes.
He smiled sparingly at the woman.
"Well-known," he replied with dark eyes.
"What's My Name?"
"You are Precious," he answered with a smile on his face.
"P-Precious? My name is Precious?"
"Yes. You are Precious Smirnov."
"Previous Smirnov," the woman repeated. He recited it dumbly over and over but still couldn't remember anything.
"You, what is your name?"
"Ako si Ziyad Smirnov."
"Ziyad Smirnov? Are we the same Smirnov? What are we like? Are we brothers?"
The man grinned. He found her cute despite her situation.
"No. We're not siblings, Precious. We're husband and wife."
Is he married? He really doesn't remember anything.
"What happened to me? Why do I have wounds? And why don't I remember anything?"
"You had an accident, Precious. You've been unconscious for a few weeks."
He couldn't remember that either.
"Don't try to remember. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat?" He watched the man. The elegant man in front of her is her husband?
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
Precious shook her head. "I'm thirsty, Ziyad. I want to drink."
The man took care of her in a hurry. He gave her a drink of water before leaving her for a moment to instruct her companions in the mansion.
Those who served him were surprised and surprised but they did nothing but follow his wishes.
Precious has many questions. And it's difficult for those he talks to to answer it.
"How long have Ziyad and I been married?"
"It's been a long time," he answered, because he couldn't remember the date that Ziyad said just now, so as much as possible he didn't want to answer it because he didn't know what to say.
He fell asleep again after eating and after being checked by the doctor Ziyad sent him to. When he woke up, it was night and he was alone in his room.
It was eight o'clock on the big clock near the door. He remembered reading the time. I hope he remembers everything too. His personality... Everything.
He was wondering why his wife was not by his side, so when the old steward came in to see if he was awake, he couldn't help but ask about his wife.
Why can't he remember his wife?
"Where is Ziyad?"
"He's in the study room, hija. Busy at work."
"He can't sleep here?"
"Ah, that's busy," he answered again. When his master is inside the study room, he cannot be disturbed. It's because it's a workaholic. He hardly sleeps because he has a lot of business to attend to.
"He won't tell me, Manang?"
Precious feeling so lonely. He couldn't figure out why he felt this way. He was sure it wasn't because of his current situation. It was as if such a feeling had accumulated in his heart for a long time.
"If you want a companion, hija, I'm right here. I'll just sleep on the floor."
Yes. She needs a companion right now. He looks like he's going crazy because he can't remember anything.
Who am I really?
During the whole night he did not feel that his wife entered his room. Do we even sleep together? he asked in his mind. He feels that he is not happy with his wife, especially since he saw his appearance in the mirror earlier.
She looks ugly. He still has a big wound on his face. That will heal, but it will leave a big, deep mark.
She was thinking about how she became the wife of that handsome and elegant man.
So when Ziyad went to her room, he asked her.
"How did we become a couple?"
