It took months to get back to normal but we got there and so did the others. It just took a lot of therapy and hours upon hours of police interviews.

In the end it was worth it though because we all had our lives back. And me more than anyone. 

From across the spacious room I watched as Psych spoke to three of his club brothers from their old chapter. I only recognised Ink but I knew that this party was for them. They had joined us here and we were all celebrating our fresh beginning. 

Sensing my eyes on him, Psych lifted his head to me and grinned. I blew a kiss back. The diamond on my ring finger catching the light.

He had asked me to marry him two weeks ago and I hadn’t just agreed I’d jumped on him. We planned to marry soon but we weren’t in any rush. It wasn’t like either of us was going to run away from our feelings anymore.

I loved him and he loved me.

And it wasn’t only for me that things had changed. Everyone around me, had news. And all of it was good. 

Daisy and Raven had their baby boy, and were even more in love than ever. I found them in the corner. Huddled together with their child, and Mairi was sitting with them. Her head on Gunners shoulder and their adoptive child on his lap.

One big extended family. Which was what we all were. A family.

Most people might have just called us a club. An outlaw club full of hardened criminals but I knew better than that. Yes, most of the men here were criminals but they were also loyal to a fault.

“You look lost in thought.”

I jumped as Lottie come up behind me. I had seen her disappear with Irish and X an hour ago but she was alone now.

“Just thinking about how much things have changed.” I stared down at her protruding stomach. She hadn’t told anyone but she had been pregnant when we had taken on Stella. “For the better.” I added with a grin. “Where are the guys?”

She blushed. “Catching their breath.” She grinned at me.

I couldn’t help it, I giggled. “Surprised they let you out of their sight.” I joked.

“Like I said, they are catching their breath. This pregnancy is making me insatiable.”

I burst into fits of laughter and again Psych's eyes snapped up to mine. His eyebrows lifted in a clear question. What was so funny? 

I shook my head. “I’ll tell you later.” I mouthed.

“Have you heard from Melody and Rancher?”

I nodded. “I spoke to her this morning. The twins. You know Ranchers sisters are graduating. They will be back after the ceremony.”

“That’s good.” She nodded her head thoughtfully. “I miss her. The gang isn’t complete without her here.”

I had to agree. We were  close knit group now. More than best friends. We were sisters.

“Can we borrow our woman for a second Cat?” Irish chuckled from behind us.

“Sure but she told me she tired you out.” I joked.

Their faces flushed. “She did.” Xander chuckled. “Which is why she needs to sit down.”

“But I want to dance.” Lottie pouted.

Irish scooped her up into his arms. “Later, you shouldn’t be on your feet so much in your condition.” 

She squealed as they carried her away. No one knew which of her men had fathered her baby but I was guessing it didn’t really matter. They were a happy throuple and a baby wouldn’t change that.

I pushed away from the wall, empty glass in hand and tried to find Psych in the crowd. My eyes came back blank.

Right up until Danny, Dana’s little brother stepped in front of me. This evening the party in our new club house would be family friendly. Later when the kids went home, things would change. 

Probably. 

Psych and I always left before the debauchary started.

“Dana is looking for you.”

“Ok where is she?”

“Outside.” Grinning from ear to ear he led me toward.

There were two bikes idling in the lot. One with two people on it. Copper and Dana.

But it was the other bike that my eyes settled on. Psychs bike. “Going somewhere?” I asked, cocking my head to the side.

“Yes we are.” Grinning from ear to ear, he passed me a helmet. Something he always made me wear even if he didn’t wear one himself. “Get on.”

“Where are we going?” I asked.

“Little road trip.” 

I shot a look at Dana. “And you two are coming? What about Lana and Danny?”

“Having a sleepover with Raven and Daisy.” She said with a grin. “Well a few sleepovers actually.”

I blinked at her in confusion. “Where are we going?” I asked again. Fidgeting with the helmet.

“She’s not going to get on the bike unless we tell her,” Dana laughed.

Sighing Psych took my hand. “I wanted this to be a surprise. But I thought we could go on a little road trip and-“

“Get married.” Dana squealed.

“He was meant to ask her, not you.” Copper chuckled.

“Oh shit.”

I barely heard her, my eyes were glued to Psych. “You want to elope and get married? I thought you wanted a big wedding.”

Cupping my cheek, he drew me to him. “All I want is you, if you want we can wait.”

Did I want that? More importantly, did I need that? No, the only thing I needed was him.

“I just want you.” I threw myself at him. Almost pushing him and the bike over. Behind us Dana clapped her hands.

“Yay double wedding?”

“You’re getting married as well?” 

“Gotta be done.” Copper chuckled. “It’s the only way we can get you to behave.” She swatted him on the shoulder.

Swinging my leg over the bike behind Psych, I wrapped my arms around his waist.

“What he means is it’s the only way we can keep you protected.” Pysch said.

Dana rolled her eyes. “What these big goons mean is that they love us.”

“That’s what we said.” The men said together, as their engines roared back to life.

“I know.” I rested my face against his back as he took off out of the parking lot.

Our men knew we didn’t need protection, we just needed them.

Yes we had all been claimed by the bikers, but we had saved ourselves.
