Chapter 70 Reaper 47

Chapter 70 Reaper 47
“Where’s Roman? Requiem looked like he had aged ten years as he strode into the room, pulling a t-shirt over his head.

Reaper looked up from the computer, he had been trying unsuccessfully to back hack Mae’s computers. “Did you find them?”

Requiem’s shoulders bunched. “No.” he grunted as if in pain. “Where’s Roman?”

“Upstairs with Noah.”

“Where’s Liv?”

Reaper frowned; Requiem was obviously hiding something from him. For someone who was pretty ancient, he wore his emotions on his face for all to see.

“She’s upstairs with my parents.” It had been hard to console the distraught child. He loved Liv. He was good with her, but she wanted her mum. She didn’t understand why or where her mother had gone. It was only when his own mother had turned up and taken over, that her tears had finally stopped.

Thank god for mothers.

“Requiem.”

“I know where they are.”

“You literally just said you didn’t find them.” Reaper's anger was teetering on the edge of a knife point.

“I didn’t, I had an email with the coordinates.” He paused, pushed his blonde mane back over his face. “From Mae.”

“What? Let me see.” Reaper reached for the phone.

“No Reaper, no.”

Reaper's breath hitched in his throat. What was so bad in the email that he couldn’t see it. What had happened to his mate? She wasn’t dead, he was sure of it. He would have felt it.

He would have died right alongside her.

He couldn’t have found her again, only for her to be taken away so quickly. Fate wasn’t that cruel.

Surely?

“Show me.”

“Reaper…” His voice held a warning, but he tossed the phone anyway.

Reaper paused at the first picture.

Rory and Bethany, both had their eyes closed. There was blood in Bethany’s hair and down her face. Someone had hit her hard. That’s where all the blood in the car had come from. The second and third were more of the same, but as he scrolled to the fourth picture, his heart froze.

Bethany lay on her back, obviously still knocked out, but there was a hand on her.

A man’s hand.

And he had his hand firmly over her breast.

“Son of a bitch!” Reaper tossed the phone from him as if it burnt him. He instantly regretted it. He needed to see the rest of the pictures.

“Are they…” He paused, struggling to find the words he needed.

“There’s nothing worse than that, but the threat is there.” Requiem pocketed his phone.

“Rory?”

“There’s photos of Rory as well”

“Photos of Rory doing what?” Roman stood frozen in the doorway.

“You don’t want to know.” Reaper was shaking with the effort it took for him to remain in control. “You know where they are?” He asked again.

Requiem nodded. “You know this is a trap, right?”

Of course, he did. “Yep.” It didn’t matter. All that mattered was that he got to Bethany before any dirty scum laid hands on her again.

“Doesn’t matter if we come out of this alive or not.” Roman’s voice was gravely. He didn’t need to see the pictures. He could see the severity of them on his friend's face. “As long as they do.”

Requiem nodded. “We riding then? They aren’t that far away.”

“I'll go and gather the pack.” Roman strode back out of the room.

“Do we have a plan?” Requiem was gathering his hair back into a tight braid. Looking as ferocious as any Viking.

“You fly, I ride, Roman brings up the rear with the pack.”

Requiems eyebrows quirked. “You plan on riding my bike?”

“Yep.” Reaper didn’t even bother to ask permission, and Requiem didn’t put up a fight. “I’m going to go and say goodbye to Liv.” He paused at the door. “If anything happens to me Req, make sure she is looked after.”

“You don’t even need to ask brother, but nothing is going to happen to you, or Bethany.” His voice was steady. His strange bird eyes were unwavering.

Battle was about to commence. And that’s what they were good at.

Within minutes, the small living room was full. Roman had called his enforcers. Giving each one direct orders. Some were to stay with the children, others were to ride with them.

“What are we walking into, does anyone have eyes on them?” Reaper was pacing, itching to get going, but knowing they needed at least a little bit more information. Going in half cocked would get them all killed.

“It's just a house, farmland” a young wolf, whose name Reaper didn’t know, was busy with the laptop. “Pretty isolated”

“Good.” Roman ran his hands through his hair. “Everyone knows the plan. Eric.” His eyes lit on Reaper's dad. “Eric, I wish you would stay here.”

“Not going to happen, sorry Roman.” He slapped his arm hard. “My son lost his mate once, I’m not about to sit by and let it happen again.”

“Okay then, let’s do this thing. Everyone knows the plan?” He asked again and was greeted by nods.

Reaper's eyes shone, a smile curling his lips. It wasn’t a nice smile. Swinging his leg over Requiem's giant Harley, he gave a chuckle that sent shivers down everyone’s spine.

“We kill everyone.”
