What Really Happened?

"We'll talk about it later, I'm really tired." Kevin left without turning around for a moment, he went to hide his tears.

"Lisa..."

"Heartbreak hurts, doesn't it?" Heriet also walked away with teary eyes. Melisa was silent, now she understood what was going through the two friends who had always been with her since childhood.

Suddenly there was the sound of a saxophone playing, it sounded very beautiful. The song that was sung by the famous Saxophone player was entitled "Alone". This music sounded clearer and clearer, making Melisa very curious. He follows where the music comes from.

Melisa continued to walk following her heart until she reached the forest behind the school, she had never been to this place before. That music brought him here. Melisa saw a man playing the saxophone, the man turned out to be Jack.

"Jack?" Melisa said, she was increasingly fascinated by the man in front of her. Jack noticed Melisa's presence, he immediately stopped and looked at the woman with a cold gaze.

"Why are you here?" Jack asked, his red lips remaining silent without a smile.

“I heard music earlier, so I followed it until I arrived at this place. The music is very beautiful and it feels like it pierces the soul.”

"When you're done, go!"

“Why don't you ever let me accompany you, Jack? Let me stay here, by your side." Melisa started to get serious because of her deep feelings, she would do anything as long as she could be with the person she loved, whatever the risks.

"I want to be alone"

"Why ? I love you Jack, I don't know why I always miss you. Let me always be with you!" Melisa started crying. All the problems that happened to him really made him feel suffocated. Even that love now stabs his own feelings, love for someone who doesn't even have those feelings.

Jack was silent, he stepped closer to Melisa who continued to cry. This ice man is now confused about what he has done. But he really didn't know what he should do to make this woman stop crying.

"What do you want ?" Hearing the words that came out of Jack's mouth, Melisa was immediately shocked and couldn't believe Jack had said that.

"Jack, will you hug me?" asked Melisa frankly. Because that's what he needs right now. A hug from the person he loves.

"No"

“Wh…why?”

"Because I don't want to hurt you."

“Wh…why am I hurt? Don't you hurt me, please Jack?"

“I never hug anyone.”

"But you said earlier, you would do anything as long as I stop crying and now I want to hug you, why don't you want to?"

Jack looked at Melisa, his cold eyes seemed to give the girl an answer.

“I won't get sick just from a hug. Come on... hug me?" Melisa spread her hands while smiling, she felt very happy.

Jack was confused about why he had to do this girl's request, he had never once listened to other people's words. He seemed to live in his own world.

Jack hugged Melisa, without smiling. But a moment later Melisa felt something. Her whole body felt as cold as if she had been doused with ice water when Jack started to hug her. Her heart was pounding fast, her blood seemed to have stopped flowing to all parts of her body, Melisa felt a lot of pain in her bones. Even so, Melisa didn't want to stop this hug.

Jack could feel Melisa's body starting to get restless because of the pain, Jack immediately let go of her hug. Jack looked at Melisa who was moaning in pain. Jack immediately left without paying attention to Melisa.

“Jack… ?” Melisa exclaimed in a small voice because she couldn't scream anymore.

“Why does it hurt like this? even though it's just a hug." Melisa said to herself, she limped like someone who had had an accident.

Melisa walked towards the crowd of students who had scattered after class. Melisa began to lose strength, the pain was so excruciating that she almost fainted. Luckily, Heriet, who was looking for him, saw him leaning against the wall.

“Lisa? What happened to you ?" Heriet panicked when he saw his friend groaning in pain.

"I...I...I..." he stammered. Melisa couldn't speak, her mouth was stiff and trembling.

"What happened to you ? what happened ?"

"I...I'm okay, just got hit by a car."

"What ? Seriously, who did it?" Heriet was angry, his face flushed with annoyance.

"N...no need, it was my fault for not looking at the road, never mind." Melisa tried to convince herself that she was fine now. He didn't want to say what really happened.

Melisa continued to remember the hug that Jack gave her, her heart felt confused as to why that could happen? very hard to believe. Jack is just an ordinary person, but why is there another side to him that is unknown and very difficult to express.
