Chapter 2694: What the Heck?

Billy and his companions looked ahead and saw a middle-aged man in a white robe leading the group, with no aura emanating from him.

Following him were two elderly men, both fourth-rank Heavenly Emperor Realm experts. Behind them were four early-stage Heavenly Emperor Realm experts and a dozen mid to late-stage Heavenly God Realm cultivators.

"Greetings, Vice City Lord!" The first-rank Heavenly Emperor Realm expert elder who had spoken earlier bowed along with his followers.

"Are you Miss Sanaa of the Heaven Alliance?" the white-robed man named Gauge Rutledge asked, looking at Sanaa.

"Where is your City Lord?" Sanaa asked in return.

"Apologies, Miss Sanaa. Our subordinates were unaware of the proper etiquette. Please forgive them," Gauge Rutledge replied without directly answering her question.

After a brief pause, he continued, "Miss Sanaa, our Boss is currently entertaining guests. If you don't mind, please wait inside while I inform him."

"Thank you," Sanaa responded.

"Old Wu, please escort Miss Sanaa and her companions to the Xuan Hall to rest," Gauge Rutledge instructed an elderly fourth-rank Heavenly Emperor Realm expert behind him.

"Certainly," the elder nodded and then turned to Sanaa. "Miss Sanaa, this way, please."

Billy and his companions followed the elder towards a palace ahead on the right.

Soon, they entered the grand hall of the palace. The elder turned to Sanaa, "Miss Sanaa, please wait here. The City Lord will come once he is free."

"Who is your City Lord meeting?" Sanaa asked.

"I'm sorry, I don't know," the elder responded after a brief hesitation.

"Do you really not know, or are you unwilling to say?" Billy asked, fixing his gaze on the elder. "If I'm not mistaken, it should be someone from outside our domain, right?"

It wasn't hard to guess. Azure Profound City was already the strongest force in the ninth-tier star domain besides the Heaven Alliance. They had formed an alliance with the Heaven Alliance long ago but suddenly changed their stance. It was likely due to external influence.

The only people who could make Azure Profound City wary were those from outside the domain.

"I'm truly unaware," the elder shook his head.

"What is your City Lord's current stance?" Sanaa interrupted. "Is he planning to ally with external forces?"

If Billy could guess it, so could she.

"I'm really sorry," the elder repeated. "Miss Sanaa, please wait here. The City Lord should be here soon."

Without waiting for Sanaa's response, he turned and left.

"What do they mean by this?" Stout couldn't help but speak up. "Is Azure Profound City planning to eliminate the three of us here?"

He then turned to Sanaa, "Sanaa, should we go out and take a look?"

"No need," Sanaa shook her head. "Let's see what they intend to do first."

She then turned to Billy, "It probably won't be easy. Can you use the Chaos Compass if Nine Dragons Cauldron can't defend us?"

"It shouldn't be a problem," Billy smiled.

"That's good," Sanaa nodded.

About fifteen minutes later, a powerful aura enveloped the entire palace. Stout and Billy couldn't help but gasp.

Even without seeing anyone, they could tell from the aura alone that whoever was coming was at least a late-stage Heavenly Emperor Realm expert or even stronger.

"They're quick," Sanaa squinted slightly. "Let's go out and take a look."

"Alright," Billy nodded.

The three of them walked out of the hall.

Outside, they saw a group of people standing in mid-air above the palace. Among them was Gauge Rutledge, the Vice City Lord of Azure Profound City.

Standing beside him was another middle-aged man in a white robe who bore a striking resemblance to Gauge Rutledge.

It was clear that this man was Gael Rutledge, the current City Lord of Azure Profound City!

Behind them were seven or eight men and women.

Billy quickly assessed their cultivation levels and couldn't help but squint slightly.

He couldn't gauge the cultivation levels of Gael Rutledge and his brother!

With his current strength, he could sense anyone below ninth-rank Heavenly Emperor Realm.

In other words, both Gael Rutledge and his brother were above ninth-rank Heavenly Emperor Realm!

Moreover, the eight men and women behind them were all Heavenly Emperor Realm experts-two sixth-rank, two fifth-rank, and four early-stage Heavenly Emperor Realm experts.

Their strength was astonishing!

And Billy was certain that these people were not all of Azure Profound City's high-end combat power.

"Mr. Rutledge, does this mean you're planning to keep the three of us here?" The three ascended into the air as Sanaa addressed Gael Rutledge calmly.

"I've long heard that the Four Princesses of Heaven Alliance are extraordinary women. Meeting you today proves it true," Gael Rutledge said to Sanaa.

He then turned to Billy, "If I'm not mistaken, this must be the legendary Mr. Billy?"

"You guessed right," Sanaa replied before Billy could speak. "So what's your decision?"

"Please wait a moment, Miss Sanaa," Gael Rutledge said before turning back to Billy. "Mr. Billy, may I ask if you can now use Nine Dragons Cauldron for defense?"

"No," Billy answered bluntly.

"Really?" Gauge Rutledge asked again.

"You want to confirm if he has gained Nine Dragons Cauldron's recognition before deciding Azure Profound City's stance?" Sanaa interjected.

"Let me be clear; he can't use it yet. You can make your choice now!"

"Miss Sanaa, I advise you to leave with Mr. Billy as soon as possible. It will be too late if you delay any longer..." Gauge Rutledge took a deep breath before speaking again.

"There are outsiders in Azure Profound City, aren't there?" Sanaa responded. "Bring them out!"

"Miss Sanaa, don't underestimate them. Without Nine Dragons Cauldron's help, even if Azure Profound City and Heavenly Divine Court ally with Heaven Alliance, it will be hard to resist external forces," Gauge Rutledge continued.

"And I won't hide it from you; Azure Profound City decided to break its alliance with Heaven Alliance due to external threats."

"They are already in Azure Profound City. I'm stalling them as best as I can, but it won't last long. If they find out that Nine Dragons Cauldron is with Mr. Billy..."

Before he could finish speaking, a deafening explosion echoed through the air as a palace below shattered into pieces.

Several figures ascended into the sky!

"What the heck is that?" Stout couldn't help but curse upon seeing the figures.

Billy was also taken aback by what he saw.

Four men ascended into the sky. Their facial features were no different from ordinary humans. What surprised Billy and Stout was their size.

Each man was as tall and broad as two or three Billys combined. Compared to them, Billy and his companions looked like people from a miniature world.

Having traveled from a first-tier star domain to a ninth-tier star domain, Billy and Stout had encountered many strange things but had never seen people this gigantic before.

"Sanaa, are all outsiders this tall?" Stout asked Sanaa.

"No," Sanaa shook her head. "They are Titans from outside our domain; naturally, they are larger."

"Titans?" Billy and Stout both exclaimed in surprise.
