Chapter 59
MILA
We flew a fair distance but landed in another forest about a few good miles away from the pack.
We both have been quiet, trying to figure out what we should be saying or doing.
Once we landed, I climbed off Drack and looked around the area while Archer shifted back into his human form.
“Little dove we need to keep moving” says Archer in a softer voice, I turn to look at him and give him a small smile.
We walk through the forest and head to a human town.
My mind is filled with thoughts about leaving everyone behind; I left everyone thinking I was angry with them when I was not.
“Little dove are you ok” asks Archer quietly.
I stop in my tracks and look at him “I’m ok I just wanted to make sure everyone is ok, they were going into a war and it was all about me” I say.
Archer doesn’t say anything but gives me a small smile.
He sighs “I know little dove but we need to get you to safety. We need to have the element of surprise” he says.
We carry on walking through the forest and keeping the silence, well I was Archer decided to hum a little tone which was slightly getting on my nerves.
We came to the boarder; I couldn’t help sniff the air.
We are at a human town, I look at Archer who has a blank expression on his face “The war has began little dove” he says and he turns to me “We should stay here for a little while just to rest and I will grab us a few things from that store over there.”
I don’t say anything but nod. Knowing that all my family, friends and even my mate are at war right now has my stomach going around in knots. We head in the direction of a motel where Archer asked for a room.
Once we were handed the keys and went inside, Archer made sure the curtains were drawn and the lights were off. Archer left me in the room while he went to the store to pick up some food and other bits.
“You ok Mila?” Asks Sapphire suddenly, she has been quiet the whole journey.
“I am” I say with a sigh “I just wish we could find out how everyone is.”
She nods at me as she lies back down in my head but looks at me “How are you really feeling though?” she asks.
I stare for a moment as I started to feel numb and the thought about our mate was getting harder for me to handle so I decided to ignore it for the time being.
“I’m ok Sapphire but I have to admit I am missing our mate” I said quietly which made her lift her head up to look at me.
“You are coming around to the idea of being his mate” she says with a smile “Mila once we defeat the evil and rescue Lucas then maybe we can start working it out with mate.”
I don’t say anything for a while but I look towards the window and stand, pulling the curtain slightly open to see if Archer was on his way back “Sapphire, do you think Nate would go with another woman when we are away?” I ask her.
Sapphire looks at me and smiles “I think he has learned his lesson Mila, he wants you and I would imagine his wolf will have more say this time around” she says.
I should try to not think like that; maybe she's right he has changed but us being apart will certainly test both of us especially our mate around other women.
Sapphire looks at me “We need to find someone who can help you with your magic and help me too” she says suddenly.
She’s right; I can feel both of our magic swirling around me.
As right on que, Archer walks in and smiles “Burgers and soda little dove” he says with a big cheesy grin on his face.
I smile back and nod.
We both sit around the table and eat the burgers he got for us.
While we were eating, Archer grabs out a mobile phone.
I stare at him “Why did you get that for?” I ask as I was about to take a sip of my orange soda.
Archer looks at me and smiles “Before I went into hibernation and also before I met you little dove, I had many friends who would help me if I needed it. So I thought I would ring around and ask them for some assistance in finding Aria. Do you have that photo on you?” he asks.
I nod, I grab my bag and hand him the photo and he had me to take a photo of the woman in the background using the phone so he could sent it to some of his friends.
We spent the next few hours in that room, Archer on the phone talking to many people and some in different languages. He was pacing the room trying to get information and also figure out where we were going to next.
Both Sapphire and I slept for a little while even though sleep was hard to come by as we were worried about the pack and the war.
After his phone call Archer turns to me and smiles “We will be leaving soon little dove” he says “I have made arrangements for us to fly in a private jet and we are heading out of here.”
I look back at him stunned while getting up off the bed; I have never been on a plane.
Archer looks at me “What are you thinking little dove?” he asks as he comes to sits next to me on the bed.
I sigh “How long do you think it will be till we go back?” I ask him turning to look at him.
He places his hand in mine and squeezes it gently “I don’t know but we will be back soon” he says and slowly gets up but turns to face me “I will figure something out later once we are on the plane about finding out how everyone is after the war but first we are going to get ready to leave now” he says.
We both shrugged off the feeling we had and packed up the little we had left.
Archer grabs my hand and leads me out of the motel door.
