Chapter – 9

Third Person's POV

Rishav was just going to sit inside the car when he noticed Hiya was gulping water. He wouldn't have thought much about it if he had not noticed the small medicine bottle in her hand. That bottle of medicine implied that she had taken some medicine.

Rishav was confused as he didn’t understand why Hiya has taken medicine. The small medicine bottle was the same as the bottle of sleeping pills.

They were going to the airport to catch the flight to Switzerland. They were going to Switzerland for their honeymoon. Grandpa and grandma have arranged this trip for them. They couldn't deny that. So they were going on their honeymoon to Switzerland.

Then it was complete daylight. Rishav didn’t understand why Hiya then took the sleeping pills. Some doubt appeared in his mind. He knew he needed to clear that.

RISHAV : Why are you taking sleeping pills now?

Rishav directly asked Hiya. Hiya got startled by Rishav's sudden question. Hiya was looking at Rishav confusingly.

HIYA : What? What are you talking about?

Rishav didn’t reply anything. He was just looking at Hiya intensely. Then he vaguely reply “Nothing…”. Hiya found Rishav's behaviour very weird. She didn’t know how she will survive 12 days alone with him in a completely unknown place. But she had no option instead of accepting Grandpa and Grandma's arrangement. She could not let them suspicious about this marriage. Somehow after signing the contract this was her job. Unpaid, volunteered job. She has now accepted it. She hoped Diya di will come back soon and she will be free from this contracted marriage.

RISHAV : Hiya, you Bua and Uncle have come to see you off. At least go and meet them.

HIYA : I have already said goodbye.

RISHAV : No, not from the car. Go and talked with them properly. We still have some time. When you have accepted everything then don’t punish them anymore. They are not able to contact their one daughter, if you also do not talk with them, think how sad they will be. Go…

After pondering for some seconds Hiya went out of the car to say a proper goodbye to her bua and Uncle.

Just the moment Hiya closed the door of the car from outside, Rishav hurriedly took Hiya's handbag and looked for the medicine that he has just seen Hiya take. He knows it is not good behaviour to check someone else's purse but he has no other option.

Rishav found the bottle of the medicine and after taking a picture of it, he kept it in its previous place. Rishav sat on his seat and started scrolling his phone so casually as if, just a minute ago it was not him who checked Hiya's purse like a thief.

Just as he sat upright, the door of the car opened from the opposite side and Hiya got in the car. Rishav sighed with relief that he didn’t get caught. It was a close call.

Rishav noticed tears in the corner of Hiya's eyes. He knew Hiya loved her Bua and uncle very much. And why not? She has spent more years of her life with them than she spent with her parents.

She was only 8 years old when she lost her parents. From then on her bua and uncle took the place of her parents. They gave her the parent’s love she was missing. How can she not love them? Due to circumstances, all these situations have arrived. Rishav knew what they have done wasn't a good thing but they had no other choice.

RISHAV : Are you crying?

HIYA : What? No, why would I cry?

Rishav understood Hiya would not show her emotions in from of him. He didn’t ask any more questions because then he had more important things to do like to find out about that medicine.

He has already clicked the picture of the name of that medicine. He just needed to find out about its uses. The car has started its journey towards the airport. Hiya closed her eyes to avoid questions from Rishav. Rishav put earphones in his ear and lean against the backseat sluggishly as if, he was listening to music or watching movies but in reality, he was searching for the details about the medicine.

He was shocked to find out about the medicine. It was anti-anxiety pills. Rishav mumbled slowly “anti-anxiety pills!”. He forgot that Hiya was beside him. Hiya didn’t hear clearly but she heard the word pills. So she asked him what he was talking about. Rishav very smartly managed the situation saying “ I am humming my favourite song. Do you want to hear it?”

HIYA : No, thank you. I don’t want my ear to bleed off.

Hiya looked away from Rishav and looked outside through the window. She thought Rishav would quarrel with her but to her surprise, Rishav didn’t say anything, instead, he lean his head and closed his eyes with the earphones in his ear.

Probably Rishav would have quarrelled with Hiya if his mind was not occupied by the result he has just found out after searching the name of the medicine.

Rishav was worried for Hiya. Seeing Hiya's habit of taking sleeping pills and anti-anxiety pills, Rishav was worried about Hiya's health. But he determined one thing he will help Hiya overcome this bad habit. He is using Hiya by this marriage for his and his company's benefit. He will help Hiya to overcome this anxiety. He already knew about her fear of travelling on trains. But today after seeing her taking the anti-anxiety pills, he understood Hiya's fear of riding on any transport. Anyhow he will help Hiya overcome this fear that he promised to himself.
