Chapter – 7
Rishav's POV
Entering the room I am a little shocked. Seeing the scene in from of me, I feel a pang in my heart. Sitting on the floor, Hiya is sobbing very badly.
I don’t understand why always mom behaves with Hiya like this. I have noticed it before also. I don’t think today there was any need for mom to scold her like that. She didn’t do any crime and besides Grandpa and Grandma didn’t get angry. I have no idea why she hates Hiya.
In her life already so many things have happened suddenly. Instead of giving comfort and support, mom is scolding her.
Now I need to console her. I need to do something to make her happy. But what? The fiery this woman is! Probably she will vent all her anger on me. I have already seen a demo. Instead of saying thank you most probably, she will say everything is my fault. But at least I have to try something to make her mood enlightened. I can not let her cry like this.
Third Person's POV
Rishav went near Hiya and sat beside her on the floor. Feeling someone’s presence beside her, Hiya hurriedly wiped her tears and was going to get up when Rishav stopped her by holding her wrist. Hiya glared at Rishav.
RISHAV : Hey woman! Don't look at me like that. I have just tried to talk to you. And… I... I am sorry for my mother’s behaviour. Don’t take it to heart.
Hiya released her hand with a jerk from Risha's hold and looked at him very angrily.
HIYA : I don’t need your consolation. I don’t need your care.
Hiya shouted at Rishav. Rishav also got up and stood in front of Hiya with an annoyed expression.
RISHAV : What is your problem, woman? I was thinking about you! I was trying to talk to you calmly, make your mood better but you are shouting at me without any reason!
This time Rishav shouted at Hiya. He was very irritated that every time he tried to console her, she yelled at him without any fault of his.
HIYA : YOU…You are the problem. Don't try to be a gentleman which you are not. Stop calling me like that. I have a name.
Hiya said angrily while pointing her finger on Rishav's chest.
RISHAV : Yeah I know that you have a name…but that name doesn’t suit you. Such a beautiful name doesn’t suit a person like you! And what are you talking woman! I am your problem! What did I do? I helped -
HIYA : You did everything…now you are trying to be gentleman! If you are so gentleman why didn’t you tell your grandfather that you don’t want to get married now. Your fiancé is not well. You need time. Did you do it? Have you even tried to do it? No…the answer is no! Because you are greedy. Greedy for money. You –
RISHAV : Enough! I have heard enough! Don’t try to act like someone force you in this. Choice had been given to you. No one forced you to do this. You know what mom was right! You are very ungrateful. I helped you but it was you who didn’t appreciate that help. I went to your bua's place in such an early morning to bring that dish. Your bua woke up early to make the kheer to help you. But what did you do? You wanted to be the honest person in the world. I will not care anymore if you cry or do whatever. I tried to console you but you are shouting at me. You did the same thing yesterday also. I am trying to be nice but you! You are just intolerable. Cry…as much as you want to cry. I will not care anymore.
Saying all this with a very angry expression Rishav left the room. Hiya again started crying but the reason was different now. Hiya felt bad. She realized she should not have shouted at him. She was frustrated and she vent her all anger and frustration on Rishav. She knew it was her choice…no one has forced her. It was just, that she was not able to cope with this sudden incident in her life. Exhausted from crying, she fell asleep on the ground.
