Chapter 113 Alphas' Fight For Her
Calhoun's POV
"I just received news that Kristen was seen at Ben's coronation," Bruce immediately announce upon seeing me show up at the door.
"What?" My eyes raised in their sockets.
"It's true," Bruce continues before abandoning his sketch work.
He rises to his feet and approaches me, "A few people from our pack happened to be around during Ben's coronation and they said Kristen barged in the middle of it." He concludes.
"When?" I inquire because I don't want to think this is an expensive joke.
"Yesterday," Bruce responds.
"Shit," I rub my palm on my face and sigh.
Why in God's name would she go to Ben, upon knowing he has feelings for her?
Wait a minute, does she want to be with him now?
Ben has always wanted her for himself, so he would probably fill her head with lies about me. And Kristen, who thinks I am a liar and a cheat, might even believe him.
Images of Ben and Kristen together flash through my brain, tormenting the absolute shit out of my senses.
And at this, I know I can't take it anymore.
Immediately I shift, I run all the way to the Green Valley pack since it's barely an hour away from here.
"Alpha Calhoun," Gregory doesn't seem surprised to see me at his place. It's almost like he's been anticipating my presence.
"How come you never told me my mate was here," I growl, upon reaching his side.
"It never crossed my mind, Calhoun," he explains but it just worsened my mood. That someone who I see as my friend could keep such a thing away from me.
"You should've told me," my voice is hard as I keep glaring at him.
"How am I supposed to know you two were having problems?" He dares look at me with a frown.
"My pregnant mate showed up in your home and you couldn't phone me. Do you know how hard it's been for me?" I roar because it's like a stab of betrayal.
"I went through so much just to find her!"
"Drop this, Calhoun. You don't know the problem Kristen has created in my family!" Gregory yells back.
"What do you mean?" My anger subsides and gets replaced with utter confusion.
"Ben is supposed to marry a girl and make her his Luna, upon seeing your pregnant mate here, he changed his mind. Claiming it's Kristen he wants to be with." He explains with so much disappointment on his face.
"Fuck!" I curse after digesting this.
"Where is Kristen!?"
"She can't see you," the little cocksucker, Ben, is standing in the doorway.
"You're out of her life for good, Calhoun."
"She's mine."
"Not anymore. You can't take care of her. You cheat and you still hurt her. I'll take care of her, and I'll never make her cry," Ben stands in front and folds his arms across his chest.
And he still sends me a challenging look.
"What the fuck are you thinking?" I growl, throwing him against the wall.
Ben is one step away from shifting when I land a punch in his face.
"Stop this, Calhoun! You can't come into my pack and hit my son," Gregory growls sternly.
"Your son is trying to take what's mine," I accuse.
"Because I'm the rightful person for her," Says Ben with so much confidence as he walks until he's standing right opposite me.
"Shut your gob," I throw him against another wall.
"Stop this instance, Calhoun!" Gregory bellows at the top of his
lungs.
"You cheated on her and she came here crying, looking all hurt. Then I knew you didn't deserve her," Ben grits out.
"You have no idea of what you're spurting," just as I attempt to hit him once more, he dodges and pushes me away from him. Something which left me stunned because he wasn't this powerful.
"You forget I am now an Alpha, Calhoun," Ben wipes the blood off his mouth and shifts.
"I won't have you fighting my son," Gregory is already heading in our direction to stop the fight.
But it's already too late.
Ben and I clash, and our wolves break into a mad fight.
Alpha Gregory is calling the guards to come separate us, but then get
thrown aside like toys.
Ben's wolf isn't small anymore, it's almost as huge as mine because
he's now an Alpha.
The fight doesn't stop, we keep jamming into each other and damaging things in the midst of it all.
Until I hear, "Stop!"
From a familiar voice.
It's Kristen, standing at the door and panting heavily, with her chest
rising and falling rapidly.
This makes Ben pin me to the floor because I was caught off guard
ca
for a second.
"Stop this madness!" She shouts at the top of her lungs.
And Ben immediately gets off me.
Kristen...
Thank God she's here.
She's safe and unhurt.
Relief floods through me.
Seeing her makes me completely weak and reminds me of how much
I've missed her and yearned for her presence.
It's crazy how she still affects me this much.
I can feel my heart moving at a fast pace in my chest.
"Kristen..."
"Let's get out of here, you don't need to fight anyone for my sake."
Kristen doesn't even glare at me like I expected. She's staring at me with dull and uncaring eyes, and it's alarming because it seems she's already gotten over me.
"Don't go with him, Kristen. He doesn't deserve you," Ben has this
unsure look on his face and I can imagine my fist connecting with his jaw a hundred times.
"Just stay out of this, Ben," Thankfully, Kristen doesn't even cast him a glance.
"If it's because of the child you feel tied to him, I guarantee you that
I'll take the child as mine," He adds and it just disgusts me that he
could go this far.
"Quiet!" I yell, because it's just infuriating to hear him talk about claiming my unborn child just because he wants my mate.
