Chapter – 1 (Introduction)
Third Person’s POV
A handsome young man in his early thirties was throwing everything he got in his proximity on the ground. Breaking them in that process, he was creating a big mess in the well-decorated room.
He picked up one trophy from near the shelf with the tag “Best Businessman of the Year”. After reading that mockingly, he threw it on the ground with force. As a result, it broke.
Without caring about the mess, he sat down on the floor and broke down. He was crying like a baby.
FLASHBACK
In the centre of a bustling city; in a large meeting room of the most sumptuous sky wrapper, the same handsome man was sitting with a frowning face looking at the screen of his vibrating phone on the mahogany table in front of him.
“Why are you wasting time? Just switch off the phone!”- an elegant-looking woman in her early fifties suggested to the handsome young man. But she wasn’t looking like in her fifties, she was looking way younger than her age.
She was none other than the mother of that handsome young man, Mrs. Nandita Chauhan. But she has other more important identities than just being his mother. She had won many beauty pageants during her early times. She is the co-founder and CEO of Elegant Fashion House. She is also the owner of Limelight Magazine company.
“Yes, Nandita is right. Just switch off your phone or else she will continuously disturb us.” -another elegant-looking woman in her early fifties said to the young man.
She was Vedika Kapoor. Mother-in-law of that handsome young man. She is also Mrs. Nadita Chauhan’s best friend. Her other important identities are that she is the founder and Director of Elegant fashion house. She is also one of the trustees of a reputed ABC school in the city. She used to be known as the most beautiful woman in the city. She is still beautiful. No one can tell seeing her that she is in her early fifties.
Hearing the suggestion of his mother and mother-in-law, the handsome young man declined the incoming call on his phone and switched it off.
The incoming call was from his wife, Mrs. Jeevika Chauhan. She had been calling him continuously.
After switching off his phone, when the young man, Mr. Aditya Chauhan asked his employees to continue the presentation, right at this moment, another mobile phone started vibrating on the table, indicating that a call has come. The vibrating sound was coming from Mr. Jay Kapoor's mobile phone.
Jay was sitting beside Vedika, so she was easily able to see who was calling him. Seeing that it was from Jeevika, she made an irritating face.
VEDIKA : This is the reason I wanted her to be involved in the business. She never understands the importance of business meetings.
Vedika said to her husband, Mr. Jay Kapoor with an irritating expression.
Sighing, he also switched off his phone. The meeting resumed from where it was paused.
Mr. Jay Kapoor, father, and husband of Jeevika and Vedika respectively. He is the COO of Elegant Fashion House. He is also the owner and chairperson of Kapoor Enterprise.
After the meeting resumed, it continued for almost 30 minutes without any more disturbance.
After the end of the meeting, every employee returned to their respective desks, only the Kapoors and Chauhans were left in the meeting room.
“Didn’t your wife know that today you had an important meeting?” – a man in his middle fifties, who looks quite similar to Aditya, inquired with a very cold and authoritative voice.
He was none other than Aditya’s father and Mrs. Nandita Chauhan’s husband, Mr. Adiraj Chauhan. He is one of the shareholders of Elegant Fashion house. He is also the chairman of Chauhan’s Enterprise. In his mid-fifties, he still looks very young. He is a perfect match for his wife.
Now everyone present in the meeting room looks very aristocratic. Their dress, their looks everything tells about their special aura, power, and elegance. Among them, the most handsome person is Aditya Chauhan, who has a handsome face with a sharp nose, dark black eyeballs, and kissable lips. All these features make him the handsome man of every woman’s dream. Even men will fall for his beauty. Beautiful would be the perfect word to describe him. Not only his looks but his aura, the charm he has… All these qualities make him different from any other handsome young man.
He is not only just number one in looks but also in business. He is only 32 but he has already won the best businessman of the year award 5 times. He has some share in Elegant Fashion house and he is also continuing their legacy by helping his father manage Chauhan's Enterprise. But with all this, he has his own hotel business. In which he is also very successful. From childhood to now he has never come second in position in anything. If he decides to crack any deal, he will crack it in any way by hook or by crook. He is the man every father wants for their daughter but he is already married. He is married to Jeevika Kapoor, his mother’s best friend’s daughter. He has been married for 4 years. He also has a son who is almost 3 years now. He has no addiction like smoking, alcohol, or any other. He is the perfect man in a woman's words. Everyone wants him in their life but unluckily he is out of reach because he is faithful in his marriage.
ADITYA : I had informed her…
Aditya replied to his father in a professional tone. If one doesn’t know that they are father and son, it was hard to tell by hearing their interaction. There was no warmth in his voice. It was like he was replying to his boss. He even calls his father sir and his mother ma’am outside of their house.
JAY : Maybe there was an emergency that’s why she was calling –
VEDIKA : Come on Jay! Have you forgotten the last time she had done the same and what was the emergency?? She made a cake and she wanted everyone to taste it right then. This was her emergency. This is all your fault. You always agree to every request of her. She wanted to stay as a housewife and you supported her decision.
Vedika said to her husband with an accusation tone.
NANDITA : I really don’t understand how your daughter became like this!!
Vedika sighed, she also doesn’t understand how her daughter has become so different from her. She is a career-oriented woman whereas her daughter is the exact opposite. She wants to live as a housewife. She was shocked when she heard this news for the first time from her daughter. Vedika, in her fifties, still maintains her figure. But unlike her daughter, she has gained weight after giving birth to her son. But she never does anything to get back her figure. Now she has become chubby. She used to be the most beautiful woman in the city like her mother. But now because of her chubby figure, everyone always makes fun of her at parties. They all think she doesn’t deserve to be Aditya’s wife. But no one dares to say it as they all know she is Vedika Kapoor and Jay Kapoor’s daughter. Nowadays Vedika looks younger than her daughter.
When Nandita and Vedika were talking, Aditya switched on his phone, seeing the number of missed calls he got a little surprised. He was just about to call back but right at this moment, his phone started ringing again.
He answered the call. No one heard what the opposite party said but Aditya's expression turned to a frown and he just replied to the opposite person “ok, I am coming”.
