Chapter 8
SOPHIA
My jaw drops and my heart pounds in my chest. Fuck. Every inch of his body is insanely hot—the tattoos covering his muscular arms are sinfully sexy, his abs and chest are perfectly sculpted and…
I try my best not to stare directly at his erection, but I fail miserably. Fuck… he’s completely hard, and it’s impossible not to have my mouth water.
I feel my cheeks burn when I meet his gaze again. Eventually, his eyes drift down to my breasts, making my nipples tighten.
My skin feels like it’s on fire. I clear my throat, struggling to breathe.
“I don’t remember inviting you,” I tease, my voice trembling slightly.
“You didn’t have to… I saw it in your eyes.”
“What exactly did you see?”
He smirks, dark and wicked. I don’t think anyone has ever made me this turned on before.
“You only have to ask, sweetheart,” he whispers, those shadowed blue eyes dripping with desire, making my whole body ache for him.
My heart is beating out of control, but I’m not about to ignore my gut.
“You really are a pervert,” I tease with a smile before stepping out of the shower, escaping before I lose all control.
I rush back to the bedroom, breathless, and throw on the first thing I can find with only one goal: to get out before Salvatore comes after me.
I pull on a T-shirt and a pair of shorts and head out to find Chloe.
I spot her on the deck with Stephan. I’m still trembling a little when I sink onto one of the sofas.
“Are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he asks.
It wasn’t exactly a ghost I just saw. Something far more impressive left me completely stunned.
“I’m fine,” I try to sound indifferent.
“Are you?” Chloe asks, skeptical. “It’s so hot out here… Babe, can you grab us some juice?” she asks Stephan, clearly wanting to get rid of him.
“Of course,” he says before leaving us alone.
“Now tell me, what’s going on between you and Salvatore?”
I shrug.
“I’m trying to take it slow.”
“And why would you do that?”
“Because I barely know him.”
“You have to stop using that excuse.”
“It’s not an excuse, it’s the truth. Almost everything about him is a complete mystery, and every answer he gives is vague.”
“You also need to stop overthinking everything and learn how to have some fun.”
“And by fun you mean sleeping with him?” I roll my eyes at her.
“Exactly. By the way, that just reminded me—I have a gift for you.”
“A gift?”
“Yes, come on!” She gets up, grabbing my hand and dragging me inside.
In Chloe’s room, I sit on the bed while she digs through her things, looking for the so-called gift.
“Here! I’m sure you’re going to love it.” She sets a black box with a gray silk bow on the bed.
“Let me see.”
“No. It’s better if you open it in your room. Maybe in Salvatore’s company?”
“You actually think I’m going to trust you?”
“I’m sure he’ll love it too.”
“Thank you for… whatever this is, but I’m opening it alone.” I grab the box, fully intending to head back to my room, silently praying Salvatore is long gone.
Once inside, I check to make sure it’s empty before focusing on Chloe’s present.
I set the box on the bed, untie the bow and lift the lid.
I nearly choke on my own breath when I see what’s inside, then burst out laughing. The box is packed with erotic toys: vibrators, cuffs, a plug, a gag, and a few other things I can’t even identify.
Still laughing, I pick up one of the black vibrators, its size almost obscene. God. When it comes to Chloe, there’s always a huge chance her gifts will shock me.
The sound of someone clearing their throat at the door makes me freeze. My head snaps up, panic kicking in when I see him standing there.
Fuck.
I throw the vibrator back into the box and slam the lid shut as fast as I can.
Damn it, Chloe.
When I turn to face him again, Salvatore is already right behind me, which somehow makes me step wrong and slip on the floor.
He tries to grab my hips, but it’s no use, making the two of us fall to the ground. He catches me, pulling me on top of him to shield me from the impact.
On the floor, I look at him before we both start laughing. The laughter quickly turns into tension, and his gaze becomes heavy with desire, making the heat rise inside me as I feel his body under mine.
I can’t resist anymore. I shift just enough to straddle him and lean down to kiss him, feeling my skin burn with desire. The kiss is hungry, urgent, making me even more aroused.
Salvatore grabs my ass, and I can feel his hardening erection pressing between my legs. I want to feel him so badly it’s almost painful.
When I pull my lips away, I’m completely breathless, realizing what I’ve just done. I’ve lost all control.
“I… I’m sorry.” I pant, a wave of shame rushing through me.
I try to get off him, but he doesn’t allow it, tightening his grip on my hips. With a swift movement, he flips us over, ending up on top. He positions himself between my legs and leans down to kiss me again, a wet, scorching kiss.
He starts moving his hips against mine, grinding, making my clit throb and leaving me desperate for more.
Oh, God… His large hands explore the curves along my sides, sliding up my ribs and squeezing one of my breasts.
My entire body is begging for more, and my reason disappears completely. I grip his hair, taking everything I can from his lips. I want him to have me in every possible way.
“Sofi? Are you…?” Chloe’s voice makes me freeze.
I pull my lips away and glance toward the door, where she stands, jaw dropped, staring at us.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to interrupt. I’ll just close the door, and you two are going to pretend I didn’t see anything, because I didn’t see anything.” she says, reaching for the doorknob.
“No.” I clear my throat and push at Salvatore, trying to make him get off me, but it’s useless.
He looks at me like he has no intention of moving. I shoot him a firm look, and he finally gets up, reluctant, helping me to my feet right after.
“I’m sorry… I just came to call you for dinner. I swear I didn’t mean to interrupt, so I’ll be going now. Just… carry on…” Chloe says before disappearing, leaving us in a silence that’s both awkward and thick with tension.
“I’d better go too.” I finally say, still unable to think straight.
It seems Salvatore has that effect on me.
“Stop running, docinho.” He takes a step toward me. “I’m nowhere near satisfied, and I know you want this too.”
