Chapter 76 Your home
Alessias POV
The SUV presses forward as the hotel disappears out of view .I press my forehead on the window watching the passing scenery and staring at my reflection like a stranger that I am not familiar with . Once again I feel my power stirring in my stomach
I have changed
My senses are more attuned
The air smells better filled with a faint smell of honeysuckle and dew
My hearing is sharpened I don't tell Alex but if I concentrate I can almost hear Luca and Angelica's murmurings in the car behind us .I can still taste the dinner I had yesterday on my tongue as if I just ate it. A shiver envelops my body and I wrap my hands around my frame.
Is this what it feels like to be
A witch
A true blood
The lost princess
The guides words still echo in my ears refusing to settle. Alex takes my hand hsqueezing it gently .He sits quietly ,not saying a word just waiting for me to break the silence and I don't disappoint .
Facing him I stare into the depths of his dark as night eyes and ask him the number one thought that had been circling around my head since I met the guide
“Did you know I was the lost princess?”Sighing he raises his hand and cups my face “Padre just told me a few minutes ago I had planned to tell you on our way .He hesitates for a moment. “I didn't know the guide will- “he looks towards the front passenger seat eyeing daggers at the back of the guides head before continuing “I didn’t know he was aware or that he would bow down to you in front if everyone”
I stare into his eyes for a few seconds seeing nothing but the truth and worry there .He really didn't know then I let out a deep breath I didn't know I had been holding
“So now that -”
“Sorry to disturb you but I didn't tell signore because I did not know it was you ,The Lost princess. All I felt was the awakening of your powers”
“Thank you for clearing that up”I mumble He nods facing forward once more
Alex reaches into his pocket and brings out the map handing it over to the Guide. “Here is the map”
He shakes his head not accepting it “for this journey I know the way to La casa” he hesitates before adding “My Coven with my eyes closed”
My eyes flies to Alex's both of us staring at each other in surprise.
So he is not only a guide
But a witch
Not any witch
But part of La Casa
My coven

Riding on the aftershocks of his announcement I turn around to stare out the window again hoping the streets of Mezza will give me something worth looking at that will help calm my nerves . The city starts to thin as the buildings become few and far between . The main city of Mezza starts to fade into longer stretches of farm land with stone wall borders and dark vegetation .
“Alex how far is La casa?”I finally ask .He shakes his head as I watch his reflection through the window “I dont know the way cara mia Its my first time here” The guide answers me without turning around “Its a long journey that will last several hours , we should arrive by nightfall if the road permits us.”
I freeze not turning around as Alex reaches for my hand his thumb brushing over my palms warmth spreading at the point of contact. “Kindly Explain what you mean by if the land permits us”
He doesn't respond immediately “La Casa grants easy passage to who it wishes”
His words do absolutely nothing to calm my racing heart,soon enough we arrive at the first checkpoint . The guards approach the cars checking our boot throughly and asking the driver for particulars . The guide opens the door stepping out before Alex can say anything .
I watch him through the Windows as he stands with the guards. Their voices are low I cant hear a thing. He gestures towards the car once then one guard glances towards me.
And my stomach drops
Did he just tell them I am the lost princess

The guide tilts his head towards the vehicle again and they move away opening the barricade for us to pass through.The guide gets back into the car and we start moving again I let out a deep breath once I can't see the checkpoint from the rear window again.
“Did that seen normal to you?” I whisper
Alex sighs “No Cara Mia, I think he may of mentioned who you are”
The car stops at a filling station an hour later .I watch as Angelica exits their suv stretching her arms and walking around the surrounding as Luca stays glued to her side.
Alex turns to me “ Would you like a snack to munch on or a soda?” I think about as my stomach starts feeling queasy at the mention of food I know I can't keep down anything and It will be mortifying throwing up in front of everyone.
I shake my head “ No Alex I am okay.” He nods leaning back in his chair. I turn to the window once more and I sight the The guide who approaches my window and raps it once .I tense as I press the button and slide the window down wondering what he wants now. Please dont have anymore breaking news to tell me as I still haven't adjusted to bring the Lost Princess of La Casa .
“Princess you will start feeling it stronger as we get closer” he ssys quietly
Deadpanned I face him “what are you talking about ? What will I feel?” I demand His ice blue eyes meet mine as he finally looks at me
