Chapter 123 Our Mark
Alessia’s POV
After breakfast is done the coven members file out slowly. I wait until the hall is virtually empty only Me, Angelica, Luca and Alex remain. Sitting back in my chair I lean on Angelica to whisper to Lucy “Lucy” I say softly “Might me and Alex have a moment with you in private?”
She nods without asking any questions.
Warmth fills me as I squeeze her hand once.
Loyalty feels damn good even if it is from only one coven member.
I look across the table at Alex as he discusses something with Luca
“Alex?”I whisper gently, he shifts his attention to me
“Let's go now before Enya and Indie come looking for you” she says simply.
Alex nods not saying a word as we both stand up simultaneously.
Turning to Angelica I give her an apologetic smile “I will fill you in later okay?”
She nods “I will see you later I am taking a walk with Luca around the grounds.”
I nod “have fun then.”
Slipping out of the hall Lucy leads us to magic room we often use for meetings. As soon as we step in Alex moves to my side as if drawn by a magnet
Lucy turns to us folding her hands behind her back “Princess did something happen?”
I inhale and exhale slowly, with trembling fingers I reach for my dress.
“Lucy I want to show you something.”
I glance at Alex for support and he gives me a small nod.
I lift the hem of my dress slowly showing her my mark on my thigh.My mark is glowing faintly, the flower mixed with gold and red. Lucy pauses her sharp gaze meeting mine.”When did it appear?” she whispers.
Before I answer her Alex lifts up his shirt showing her his mark on his torso
We have the same mark
In the same colors
Both flowers mid bloom
The room is quiet for a few moments before Lucy takes a step closer to me. Crouching low she examines my mark carefully not touching it.
“Princess it's your bond magic,” she says quietly “We all get it when we bond but your flower is... ancient”
My heart starts to race
What does she mean by ancient
Meaning no on else has this kind of mark
“So no one else has this kind of mark?” I ask curiously.
“Your Mother might have had it too but no one in this coven has it” she replied firmly
Alex cuts in “Lucy what exactly does it mean for us?”
Lucy mutters a few words under her breath but I can't hear it before rising from her crouching position slowly. “It means Alex was chosen for you” she says
I gulp hard “Choosen like how? For what?”
He was chosen for you she answers gentmy
The words hit me like a slap
And Frederic? I thought the coven choose him?
Destiny had other plans I presume

“Princess it's your soul mate bond” Lucy carries on “it is not the romantic nonsense they feed us on tv. No this is a witches soul bond it's quite rare and powerful. It's only possible when lovers align Across Magic sheer will and destiny”
Alex pulls me to his side his fingers rubbing my arms.As if he instinctively knew I was growing cold from shock. Leaning into his watmth I do not pull away.
“Your bond does not force love” Lucy adds It responds to what is here she places her hand on her heart to emphasize “it recognises truth”
My throat closes up “So last night we-”
“Yes, princess” she says gently “Not only your bodies and energies merges but your magic merged with him. Hence the mark”
Alex kisses my hair “Will I also have powers?”
Lucky's eyes move to him “You might with time, you will share thoughts and eventually mind link”
I gasp is that even possible “mind talking?”
She smiles “Enya and Orzo have such bond.In the beginning you will just feel each others heightened emotions or when the other is in danger.”
Alexs hand tightens around me instinctively “Does the mark ever fade?” I ask
“No” Lucy says “As long as you are still bonded it won't”
“Is it possible to be unbounded?”I ask quietly my mind filling with worry.
Lucy meets my eyes unblinking “I have never heard of a bond mark breaking, but if it can than it will be something very traumatic and painful”
I exhale loudly “Will the coven know?”
“To be honest they will sense it soon” Lucy admits
“But Unless you admit they won't be sure what it is they sense between you”
Let's see if we can keep them guessing till we leave
Alex speaks again “We do not have to tell them anything.”
I am glad we are on the same page on this.
Lucy nods “A wise choice”
She takes a step back then I turn to Alex as I remember something we had meant to ask her
“There is one more thing, I say A prophecy Angelica translated for me on our flight to Mezza”
Lucys expression changes to a more pensive on
“Do you have it on you?”
I shake my head “No but it's about a prophecy about a witch coming to save the coven. It's fragmented though. I wrote down some notes. Angelica has a copy.”
Alex shifts for a moment beside me “I will like you to go through it and let me know what you think”
Lucy nods “I will speak with Angelica while you are having your magic lessons today” she says calmly “I will read and we can discuss what it means.”
“Some prophesies are not always so black and white she co rinues some are meant to elaborate while some are meant to confuse you.”
Well that makes sense
Reaching for me she briefly squeezes my hand
“Enjoy your lesson”she adds “And pay attention to the shield creation it will come in Handy.”
I nod “I had already planned to thank you Lucy”
Lucy’s face breaks into a smile “If it is about you we will deal with it together you have nothing to worry about”
“Together always” Alex seconds her statement.
The room is quiet for a moment and I let out a deep breath I Hadnt realised I had been holding leaning back Iinto his arms.
A knock interrupt us as Enyas voice filters through the door starts to glow fsingky
“Alessia, come out Indie is ready for you now.”
Straightening I step out of Alex’s arms and smoothen my dress not wanting them to walk in and see Alex.
“Later.” I whisper hurriedly
Alex drops a kiss on my cheek “You are always in my heart.”
I feel all warm and mushy as I step out of his arms
“Be attentive and keep this between us.” Lucy says
I nod walking towards the door.
“Coming.”I tell Enya stepping out and shutting the door behind me. Walking towards the two women I only have two things on my mind.
