Chapter 76

Third Person’s Point of View

As the sun began to set, Queen Ram and her entourage arrived at the gates of the Kingdom of Krea. The Kingdom was located on the coast, and its position made it a hub for trade and commerce with other countries. The walls surrounding the kingdom were tall and imposing, with soldiers standing watch on top of them. As they approached the gate, the guards signaled for them to halt.

“Who goes there? "One of the guards called out.

“I am Queen Ram of the Kingdom of Ice and my entourage,” Ram replied.

The gates creaked open, and they were allowed to enter. The kingdom was bustling and busy, with merchants hawking their wares and krenians hurrying to and for

Ram had come to Krea for a reason. Her scouts had reported that a powerful mage was residing within the kingdom walls—a mage who could offer her the power she needed to defeat the Fire Kingdom and avenge her krenians.

As they made their way through the kingdom, Ram couldn’t help but notice the stark difference between Krea and her own kingdom. Whereas Ice was a frozen wasteland with only a few settlements, Krea was a thriving metropolis with people of all races and cultures.

Eventually, they arrived at a tall tower located in the center of the kingdom. It was said that the mage they were seeking lived in the highest room of the tower. Ram and her entourage entered the tower and began to climb the winding stairs.

As they ascended higher and higher, the air grew thicker, and the pressure increased. Ram could feel her strength waning, but she pushed on. She was determined to meet the mage.

Finally, they reached the top of the tower and came to a door. Ram knocked, and a voice from within called out, “Who is it that disturbs my solitude? ”

“I am Queen Ram of the Kingdom of Ice, and I seek an audience with the mage within,” Ram replied.

There was a moment of silence before the door creaked open, revealing a darkened room. Ram stepped inside, followed by her entourage.

The room was sparsely furnished, with only a bed, a table, and a few chairs. In the center of the room sat a figure cloaked in shadow. As they approached, the figure rose to its feet, revealing itself to be a woman of great power.

“Greetings, Queen Ram,” the woman said, her voice echoing through the room. “I am Selena, the Archimage of Krea.”

Ram bowed deeply before the mage. “It is an honor to meet you, Archimage.”

“What brings you to my tower? "Selena asked.

Ram straightened up. “My kingdom is at war with the Fire Kingdom, and I seek the power to defeat them. I have heard that you possess great magical abilities, and I wish to learn from you.”

Selena regarded Ram for a moment before nodding. “Very well. I will teach you what you wish to know. But be warned: magic is a dangerous and unpredictable force. Use it wisely, or it will consume you.”

For the next several months, Ram studied under Selena’s tutelage, mastering the ancient arts of magic. She learned how to summon the elements, harness the power of the arcane, and even control minds. With each passing day, Ram grew stronger and more confident in her abilities.

As winter turned to spring, Ram felt ready to return to her kingdom and face the Fire Kingdom. She bid farewell to Selena and her entourage and set out on the long journey home.

When she finally arrived at Ice, Ram was met with cheering crowds and a hero’s welcome. Her Kronians had heard of her exploits and were proud to have her as their queen. Ram couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction—she had come so far since the day she set out to avenge her krenians.

But her journey was far from over. The Fire Kingdom still loomed as a threat, and Ram knew that she would have to face them in battle. She called a council of her advisers and generals, and together they devised a plan to strike at the heart of the Fire Kingdom’s power.

They would infiltrate the Fire Kingdom’s capital city and strike at the heart of their military power. Ram would lead the assault, using her newfound magical abilities to control the elements and overwhelm the enemy.

The day of the assault arrived, and Ram led her guardians across the frozen wastelands towards the borders of the Fire Kingdom. As they approached the capital city, Ram signaled for a halt. She stood at the edge of the guardians, her eyes focused on the massive walls surrounding the kingdom.

“Listen closely,” she said to her generals. “We will divide our forces into three groups. The first group will launch a frontal assault on the gates of the kingdom, drawing the enemy’s attention. The second group will scale the walls with grappling hooks and attack from above. The third group will stay hidden until we have breached the walls, then they will emerge and attack from the rear. This will be a coordinated effort; we must act quickly and decisively if we are to succeed.”

And so, the assault began. The guardians charged towards the gates of the kingdom, swords and axes at their ready. Ram stood at the back of the first group, her hands glowing with magical energy. As they approached the kingdom walls, Ram unleashed a wave of ice and snow, freezing the defenders and clearing a path through the gate.

The second group leaped onto the walls, their grappling hooks securing them to the stone. Ram gave them cover with a barrage of magical fire, scorching the defenders below. The third group emerged from hiding and joined the battle, attacking the enemy soldiers from behind.

The battle raged on for hours, with neither side gaining the upper hand. Ram fought fiercely, her magical abilities enabling her to turn the tide of battle at critical moments. But just as it seemed victory was within her grasp, Ram was struck down by a powerful blast of fire from an enemy mage.

The last thing Ram remembered was falling to the ground, her vision fading. She could hear someone shouting her name, but it sounded far away. Then everything went black.

When she opened her eyes, Ram was lying on a bed in a strange room. The sunlight was streaming in through a window, and she could hear birds chirping outside. She sat up, rubbing her head, and took in her surroundings. It was a small cottage, sparsely furnished with a bed, a table, and a stool. There was a fire crackling in the hearth and a kettle of water boiling on the stove.

Ram tried to stand, but her legs gave way beneath her. She collapsed back onto the bed, feeling weak and helpless. She looked down at her hands, which were covered in burns and scars. The fight with the Fire Kingdom had taken its toll on her, and she knew that she would need time to recuperate.

As she lay there, she thought about her journey and all that she had accomplished. She had gone from a young, powerless girl to a powerful queen and mage. She had suffered loss and pain, but she had never given up. And now she faced a new challenge—one that would test her strength and resilience once again.

But Ram was ready. She would recover from her injuries and face whatever lay ahead with courage and determination. She was a warrior, a queen, and a mage, and nothing could stop her from achieving her goal of bringing peace to her kingdom.

With that thought, Ram closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, ready for whatever the future held.

…

As the sun began to set, Agathodaemon and Asclepius found themselves standing outside the Temple of Selena. The temple was a grand structure made of marble, with intricate carvings of roses and hearts adorning the pillars and walls.

Inside, the temple was bathed in a soft, pink light that seemed to radiate from the many candles and oil lamps that were lit throughout the space. The air was thick with the scent of roses, and the sound of soft music filled the room.

Agathodaemon and Asclepius approached the altar, where a statue of the beautiful goddess Selena stood. The statue was made of pure white marble, and it depicted the goddess with long, flowing hair and a stunningly beautiful face. Her arms were outstretched, as if inviting worshipers to come and pay homage to her.

Agathodaemon and Asclepius kneeled before the statue, their heads bowed in reverence. They remained there for several moments, offering silent prayers to the goddess.

As they rose to their feet, a priestess of Selena approached them. She was a tall, slender woman with long, flowing hair the color of honey. Her eyes sparkled with a warm, loving light, and her voice was soft and gentle.

"Welcome, sisters," she said, smiling warmly at Agathodaemon and Asclepius. "May I assist you in your worship of the goddess?"
