Chapter 66
Third Person’s Point of View
It was a few days after the ritual, and Asclepius had been busy catching up on her work. She had taken a few days off to rest and recover, but she knew there was a lot to do now that she was back. The ritual had been powerful, and she had felt a surge of energy afterward. She knew that the winds were shifting and that there was work to be done.
As she sat in her office, she felt a chill run down her spine. She turned around to see a woman standing in the doorway. She had long, wavy black hair and piercing blue eyes. Asclepius recognized her from her visions. She was the woman she had seen in the temple, the one who had given her the key. Asclepius stood up and greeted her.
"Hello," she said. "I've been expecting you."
The woman smiled. "Yes, I know. I've been watching you for a while."
Asclepius wasn't surprised. She had a feeling that this woman was connected to the goddess in some way.
"What can I do for you?" Asclepius asked.
The woman walked into the room and sat down. "I've come to help you. The goddess wants to make sure you have all the resources you need to complete your mission."
Asclepius was taken aback. "My mission? What mission?"
The woman looked at her with a knowing smile. "You know what mission I'm talking about—the one the goddess has given you."
Asclepius nodded. She knew what the woman was talking about. She had been given a mission to help awaken the divine feminine energy in the world and bring balance and harmony to the earth.
"I see," Asclepius said. "And how can you help?"
The woman reached into her bag and pulled out a scroll. "This is a list of people who are ready to join your cause. They have been waiting for someone like you to lead them."
Asclepius took the scroll and unrolled it. There were hundreds of names on the list—people from all over the world. She looked up at the woman.
"How did you get this?" she asked.
The woman smiled. "The goddess provided it. She knows what you need to succeed."
Asclepius was impressed. She had been so focused on her own vision that she had forgotten how many people were out there who shared her goals. She had always felt like she was alone in her quest, but now she realizes that she has an army of supporters waiting for her.
"Thank you," Asclepius said. "This is incredible."
The woman nodded. "There's more. The goddess has also given you a gift."
She handed Asclepius a small box. Asclepius opened it to find a beautiful necklace inside. It was made of gold and adorned with precious gems. In the center was a small silver charm with the symbol of the goddess engraved on it.
"This is a powerful talisman," the woman said. "It will help you harness the goddess's energy and channel it into your work."
Asclepius put on the necklace and felt a surge of energy run through her. She had never felt so powerful.
"Thank you," she said. "I don't know how to repay you."
"You don't have to," the woman said. "Just remember that the goddess is always on your side. She believes in you."
Asclepius nodded. She felt humbled and grateful. She knew she had a lot of work ahead of her, but with the support of the goddess and her followers, she felt like anything was possible.
She spent the rest of the day going through the list of names and contacting people. She was surprised at how quickly they responded. They were all eager to join her cause and do their part to help the planet.
Over the next few weeks, Asclepius worked tirelessly, organizing events and reaching out to more people. She felt like she was making progress, but she knew it was just the beginning. She still had a long way to go.
One evening, as she was working late in her office, she heard a knock on the door. She opened it to find Arber standing outside.
"Hey," he said. "Can I come in?"
Asclepius nodded and let him in. He looked tired and a little disheveled.
"Is everything okay?" she asked.
Arber sat down at her desk. "I've been thinking a lot lately," he said. "About everything that's happened. About us."
Asclepius felt a knot form in her stomach. She knew what he was going to say.
"Arber, I don't think-"
"I love you," he said, cutting her off.
Asclepius was taken aback. She had never expected him to say that. She had always assumed that their relationship was purely physical.
"I know we haven't talked about this before," he said. "But I can't stop thinking about you. About the way you make me feel. I know we're different, but maybe that's what makes us perfect for each other."
Asclepius didn't know what to say. She had always been guarded about her emotions, even with Arber. She wasn't sure if she was ready to open up to him like that.
"Arber, I-"
"You don't have to say anything," he said, standing up. "Just know that I'm here for you. Whatever you need."
He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead before walking out the door. Asclepius sat there, stunned. She had never been good at relationships. She didn't know if she was ready to take that step with Arber.
But as she thought about it, she realized that he had a point. Maybe their differences were what made them strong. She had always been driven and focused, while Arber was carefree and easygoing. They complemented each other in a way that she had never experienced before.
Asclepius sat there for a long time, thinking about what Arber had said. She knew that she had a lot of work to do, but maybe, just maybe, she could find a way to balance that with a real relationship.
The next day, Asclepius was walking through the park when she saw something strange. There was a group of people gathered around a woman who was dancing in the center of a circle. They were all wearing white robes and chanting. Asclepius recognized the dance. It was the same one she had seen in her vision.
She felt a surge of energy run through her. This was a sign. She walked over to the group and joined in the dance. As she moved with the rhythm, she felt a connection to the goddess like never before. She knew that this was what she was meant to do. To bring people together in the name of the divine feminine.
As the dance came to an end, Asclepius looked around at the people gathered there. They were all different, from different walks of life and different backgrounds. But they all shared a common goal. They all believed in the power of the goddess and the need to awaken the divine feminine in the world.
Asclepius knew that she had found her tribe. And with them by her side, she knew that anything was possible.
As Asclepius, Hesperus, and Blasphemer continued their journey to the Domain of Nexus, they couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. Despite Asclepius's constant reassurances that they were on the right path, deep down, they all knew that there was something sinister lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
As they approached the entrance to the domain, Asclepius called out to the Nexus.
"Guardian of the Domain, we seek entry and an audience with the Queen of the Nexus."
A moment passed before a figure appeared in front of them. He was a tall, lithe man with pointed ears and bright green eyes. His skin was the color of bark, and his long, brown hair was tied back in a loose ponytail.
"Greetings, Lady Asclepius, Blasphemer, and Hesperus," the Nexus said in a soft, melodic voice. "I have been expecting you. Please follow me."
The Nexus led them through a narrow passage, which opened into a magnificent courtyard filled with vibrant flowers and towering trees. The sound of singing birds and the gentle babble of a nearby stream filled the air. It was a serene and peaceful place, much different from the chaotic and bloodthirsty battles Asclepius and her companions were used to.
At the end of the courtyard stood a grand palace, its walls made of shimmering crystal and its turrets glittering in the sunlight. The Nexus led them to the entrance and bowed before them.
"Her Majesty, Queen Titania, awaits you."
Asclepius, Hesperus, and Blasphemer entered the palace, taking in the luxurious decor and precious artifacts that adorned the walls and floors. As they walked through the palace's various corridors, they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence for the Nexus's exquisite craftsmanship.
Finally, they reached the throne room, where Queen Titania was waiting for them, sitting atop a massive throne made entirely of crystal and silver. She was a stunningly beautiful woman, with long, flowing hair the color of moonlight and bright green eyes that sparkled like emeralds.
"Greetings, Lady Asclepius," Queen Titania said, her voice musical and sweet. "I have been expecting you."
Asclepius bowed respectfully. "Your Majesty, thank you for granting us an audience."
The Queen nodded and gestured for them to take a seat on the plush chairs that had been arranged in front of her throne.
"I understand that you seek answers, Lady Asclepius," Queen Titania said, turning her gaze to Asclepius. "And I assure you, I will do my best to provide them."
Asclepius took a deep breath, knowing that what she was about to ask would be challenging.
"Your Majesty, I am looking for answers regarding the prophecies surrounding Ragnarök," she said, her voice steady. "I seek the truth about the events that will transpire and who is behind them."
The queen's expression grew solemn. "I see," she said, her voice tinged with sadness. "The prophecies of Ragnarök are a heavy burden to bear, Lady Asclepius. They speak of great tragedy and loss, and regardless of the outcome, all who are involved will forever be changed."
"I know." Asclepius nodded, her eyes unwavering. "But the stakes are too high to ignore them. I need to know the truth, Your Majesty."
The Queen sighed and leaned back in her chair, her eyes closing as if lost in thought.
"As you know, Lady Asclepius, the prophecies of Ragnarök are ancient, even for me," Queen Titania said finally, her eyes opening once more. "They speak of a great battle, a battle that will shake the entirety of the Nine Realms. They speak of death and destruction, of gods and mortals alike falling in battle."
Asclepius's heart sank at the queen's words. She had known deep down that the Ragnarök would be devastating, but hearing it spoken so directly still weighed heavily on her mind.
"But there is more to prophecies than just the battle," Queen Titania continued. "There is a deeper truth, one that has been hidden from all but a select few—the true identity of the one who seeks to bring about Ragnarök."
Asclepius's eyes widened in surprise. "The one behind these events," she said, her voice almost a whisper. "Do you know who it is?"
The queen nodded gravely. "I do. But I cannot reveal their identity to you directly, Lady Asclepius. The stakes are too high, and even a single mistake could tip the scales in their favor. But what I can tell you is that the one behind the prophecies is someone who has long been close to you, someone you would never suspect."
Asclepius's mind raced as she tried to think of all the people she knew, trying in vain to identify the traitor that hid in plain sight.
"But what can I do?" Asclepius asked, desperation creeping into her voice. "How can I stop them if I don't know who it is?"
Queen Titania's eyes hardened, her expression becoming fierce.
"That is where the Nexus can help," she said. "My people are experts in the art of illusion and deception. We can aid you in uncovering the truth and help you unmask the traitor hiding in your midst."
Asclepius felt a surge of hope in her chest at the Queen's words. She knew that whatever help the Nexus could offer was their best chance at uncovering the truth and preventing Ragnarök from happening.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Asclepius said, her voice relieved. "I am grateful for any help you can provide to me and my companions."
The queen nodded, her expression softening. "Of course. You have our full support, Lady Asclepius. Whatever happens, know that the Nexus will be with you every step of the way."
As Asclepius, Hesperus, and Blasphemer left the palace, the weight of the prophecies still hung heavy on their minds. But now, they were one step closer to the truth, one step closer to uncovering the traitor and stopping Ragnarök from ever becoming a reality.
As they left the Domain of the Nexus, Hesperus couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He knew that whatever help the Nexus could provide, they would need to be cautious. The traitor was still out there, and they would do everything in their power to prevent them from succeeding.
Asclepius, on the other hand, felt a sense of determination surging through her. She knew that the path ahead was treacherous, but with Nexus’s support, they could overcome any obstacle that lay in their way.
"We'll need to be careful," Asclepius said, her voice firm. "The traitor is still out there, and we can't afford to make any mistakes."
Blasphemer nodded in agreement, his expression serious. "Agreed. We will need to be vigilant and keep our wits about us at all times."
Hesperus chuckled dryly. "Well, that should be easy enough for us," he said, a wry smile on his face. "We've survived this long, haven't we?"
Asclepius smiled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with her companions. She knew that they were all in this together and that whatever happened, they were stronger together than apart.
With a new sense of hope and determination in their hearts, Asclepius, Hesperus, and Blasphemer set out once again, ready to overcome whatever challenges lay in their path and prove that even in the darkest of times, the light of their friendship could shine through.
