Chapter 116 They Can't Possibly Win Against Them
For a heartbeat, the four boys just stared at Dorian, her words hanging in the air like a spark waiting to catch fire.
Their looks? Standing at the entrance as living advertisements? The image hit them all at once—sharp, unexpected, and just a little dangerous. In the back of their minds, each of them flashed on something out of a vintage red-light district, the kind of scene you'd pretend you didn't imagine.
Tobias didn't bother pretending. He pictured himself in something outrageously flashy, grinning at passing girls with a shameless drawl. "Come on in, ladies…"
The thought was absurd… and somehow thrilling.
Dorian was still riding the wave of her own idea. "And then I remembered—Asher once showed me photos. Amelia, your other three brothers are ridiculously handsome. If you could get them to join—"
"Stop right there." Tobias cut in, already at ease with Dorian as if they'd been friends for years. He waved a hand. "Kevin's too busy to be seen anywhere, Chris would never set foot in a crowded event, and Ryan's going back to work next week. If he showed up, it wouldn't just be about winning first place—it'd blow the roof off the whole fair. Trust me, don't even try."
Dorian looked a little disappointed, but her grin didn't falter. "No problem. The four of you are more than enough to pull this off. It's settled!"
Settled? Not exactly. Tobias was happy to follow his sister anywhere, Asher was game for anything that sounded fun… but Zander and Leroy? They were the kind who'd rather vanish into the wallpaper.
Zander's expression didn't change, which Dorian took as agreement. Leroy glanced at Amelia, caught the faint smile in her eyes, and gave a small nod.
And just like that, Pretty Boy Café was born.
They decided to register the project first and worry about the details later. Amelia suggested, "I'm busy tonight. Why don't we meet at my place tomorrow evening?"
Asher knew she meant the apartment from last night. Tobias and Leroy didn't, but Leroy didn't ask, and Tobias didn't care—if his sister was going, he was going.
By late afternoon, A Class had emptied out. The only ones left were Kelly, Grace, Fallon, and Rachel, gathered around a desk.
Rachel's desk was buried under a thick stack of project proposals for the fair. That morning, she'd made herself a promise—Amelia would not keep walking all over her. And now, the perfect opportunity had landed in her lap.
This fair wasn't just an event. It was a chance to take back the spotlight, to crush that smug little brat under her heel. No way was she losing to Amelia again.
As class monitor, every project form passed through her hands. She'd already planned to check Amelia's before finalizing her own idea.
Flipping through the stack, she found it—Amelia's name, bold at the top. Kelly leaned in immediately. Six members: Dorian as team leader, Amelia, Zander, Tobias, Asher, and Leroy.
The lineup made them blink.
Dorian had transferred from Aurora College only today, and she'd already slipped into Prestige High School's inner circle—and taken the lead?
Tobias was from Class E. When had he ever teamed up with A Class students? He hated being told what to do, yet here he was, listed as a team member.
And Zander, along with Leroy? Leroy was practically invisible in class, never speaking to anyone. Zander was the school's reigning king of aloofness. What kind of project could drag this mix of people together?
Rachel frowned, and Kelly urged her to check the project name.
Pretty Boy Café.
"Damn," Kelly muttered. "I was wondering what could possibly get them all in one place."
"If it's a café," she went on, "think about it—Zander, Tobias, Asher, and even Leroy. Their looks alone could pull in a crowd."
"If Amelia really teams up with Dorian for this, they'll steal every ounce of attention."
Grace's brow furrowed. "So what do we do to beat them?"
It was the age of looks. Who didn't like eye candy?
Zander, Tobias, and Asher had already been voted top-tier heartthrobs by the girls in school. They barely spoke to anyone, each of them wrapped in their own brand of untouchable cool. If they became café waiters, every customer would get to see their idols up close—and maybe even have coffee served by them. Who wouldn't melt?
Even Kelly felt a pang of excitement picturing it—especially the twin brothers, Zander and Tobias. One was enough to turn heads; together, they were lethal.
Then Grace said it. "If they're doing Pretty Boy Café, why don't we open a Goddess Café?"
Four sets of eyes lit up at once.
Of course. Guys loved beautiful women too. And Prestige High School had twice as many boys as girls. In a battle of looks, their audience would be bigger.
"Think about it," Grace pressed. "You, Kelly, Fallon, and me—we're already four. We can find more. You're close to Quentin's cousin Anna, right? She's gorgeous, and she's the CEO of The Williams Group."
"If you could get Anna, not only would sponsorship be covered, but we might even get media coverage."
"And you're friends with Yvette, the rising star actress. If she joined, her fans alone could push our popularity through the roof."
Rachel's pulse quickened. The plan was perfect. With their own beauty, plus Anna and Yvette, they'd match Amelia's team in looks—and if those two actually came, Amelia's side wouldn't stand a chance.
"It's decided," Rachel said, slapping her palm against the desk. "Tonight I'll contact Anna and Yvette. If they agree, I'll head to The Thorn Birds to have uniforms designed. Even if we have to rush, they'll be stunning by the big day."
