Chapter 112 Large-Scale Collective Identity Exposure Scene
"We're part of a private organization," Asher said, his tone steady but carrying a spark of pride. "Tonight's mission was to track down the trafficker Alvin at that bar, take him down, and guide the police to rescue the girls he's been keeping locked away."
Amelia had already guessed as much, but she tilted her head. "And your organization is...?"
"Highridge Covenant. Ever heard of it?" Asher's eyes glinted.
Dorian leaned in, her gaze bright and inviting. "We exist to hunt down the worst people out there. If you're interested... you could join us."
Amelia's brows lifted. "Is it the kind of group you can just sign up for?"
"For most people, no. But you're different," Dorian said, her voice warm and sure. "Your skill alone would get you in without question. And our vice president is standing right here."
She glanced toward Zander, who had been silent until now.
"Actually," Asher added suddenly, tugging down his mask to reveal a boyish, sharp-featured face, "we haven't even introduced ourselves properly. I'm Asher Holden." His gaze flicked to Amelia's uniform. "Wait... Prestige High School, right?"
Amelia nodded. "Yes. I transferred in this semester."
"You're kidding. We go there too! I've never seen you around. You must be new."
Dorian pulled her own mask down, extending a hand with a grin. "Dorian Reid. Border Ridge City girl. I'm here for this mission and... to meet a friend from online. I even applied for an exchange program at your school. And back in that basement, if you hadn't pulled me out of the way, that spoon would have been in my throat."
Her short hair framed a face both striking and confident, a match to her easy, straight-talking nature.
Amelia froze for a second. "...You said your name is Dorian?"
"Yep," Dorian replied, puzzled.
Amelia drew in a breath, meeting her eyes. "...The friend you came to meet... is me."
Three seconds passed before the realization hit.
Dorian's eyes went wide. "Rose?" Her voice trembled.
Amelia nodded.
Shock rippled through the group. Rose wasn't just anyone — she was a respected figure in the K.A club. The casual guess they'd made earlier in the fight pit stands had been dead-on.
Asher's jaw dropped. "No way... My idol is standing right here!"
He blurted out his own second identity. "I'm in the K.A chat group too! We've talked before — do you remember?"
Amelia thought for a moment. "I do."
Asher lit up, almost misty-eyed. "I can't believe you remembered my name after just a few messages."
Dorian laughed, shaking her head. "This has to be the fastest meetup in history. I didn't even get the chance to reach out before it happened."
She turned to Zander, who still hadn't spoken. "Hey, you gonna stand there like a statue? We're all in the same circle, just saved someone together. At least introduce yourself to Rose."
Both Dorian and Asher were used to Zander's usual detachment — cold, distant, uninterested in small talk. But tonight, his silence felt different. His gaze was fixed on Amelia, not with indifference but with a searching intensity, as if he was peeling back layers to find something hidden.
Their voices overlapped.
"Amelia?"
"Zander?"
The moment Zander pulled down his mask, Amelia's breath caught. His face was unmistakable. Zander and Tobias — twins. One carried a wild, untamed energy, the other a quiet, shadowed gravity. Their features were nearly identical, save for the single tear-shaped mole at the corner of Zander's eye.
Asher stared between them, stunned. "Wait... You're saying my idol is your sister? The one you've never met?"
Zander's voice was low but steady. "...Now I have."
"And she's in our class," he added. "We missed each other before because we were overseas at the start of the semester."
Ten minutes ago, they'd all thought Amelia was a stranger. Now they knew she was Dorian's online friend, Asher's classmate, and Zander's half-sister from the Martinez family — someone he had never seen until tonight.
And somehow, in that strange twist of fate, they'd worked together to take down a trafficker and rescue a girl, ending up here in Amelia's apartment.
Some things couldn't be planned. Some connections just... happened.
