Chapter 57-3

After setting the blanket down, I stood up in front of Gabriel and slid my hands up his neck and into his hair. "Gabriel?" He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me to wrap my legs around his waist. "Yes?" "I want to make these last hours with you memorable." He dropped to his knees and lay me down on the blanket. We stared into each others eyes and his hand grazed down my side to my thigh. "So do I." His soft lips pressed to my neck and I lived in the feeling. I've missed his lips. I've missed the feel of his body pressed to mine. God, what am I going to be like when he leaves? How will I let him go? I decided to voice out my thoughts. "How will I let you go, Gabriel?" As his hand slowly moved into the white t-shirt I remembered I was completely bare underneath. "You don't have much of a choice, Alex." I skimmed my thumb across his bottom lip. "It’s killing me inside." His brows knitted together and he pressed his lips to mine briefly. "Alexis--" I hushed him and trailed my hands down his back. "Let's talk about it later. Right now I just want to be with you..." His thumbs brushed against my ribcage and I shivered. His mouth finally landed on mine. My body was alive, and so was my heart. Being with Gabriel for the first time in a week felt like discovering chocolate for the first time ever. Sure it'd only been a week but if felt like an eternity. I turned my head to the side for a minute and hugged him to me. "I've missed you so much... And... I'm so sorry for everything I said earlier. I..." My words turned into mush as his fingers skimmed down my stomach. "Like you said. Let's talk about it later." ** His fingers traced a circle around my navel and back up. "I'll miss this." I smiled up at him. "Sex in a forest? Oh yes, because we do this everyday." He grabbed my thigh wrapped it around his waist. "It's a first, I'll admit that." His eyes moved down my body but I grabbed his chin and made him face me to look at him seriously. "I'll miss this too." The sky was still dark but there was a small lighted tint. I didn't want to know the time. I didn't want to know how long I had left with him. “Why wouldn’t you look at me earlier Gabe?” He inhaled deeply. “Honestly?” I nodded. “I was afraid that was going to be the last time I saw you…” “So you wouldn’t look at me?” He smiled down at me and I took a mental picture. What if this was the last time I saw him smile? “It was hard to come to terms with the fact that I’m leaving. And looking at you made me want to rip everyone apart.” I stroked his cheek with a smile. “You’re adorable.” I searched his beautiful face for a moment and then let out an involuntary yawn. "You should sleep," His lips pressed to my collarbone. "You've been through so much and it isn't right to keep you awake." I shook my head. "I'm not going to sleep." "You're tired." He continued to draw circles on my stomach leaving me shivering in delight. I moved my hands from exploring his chest to his shoulders and positioned him over me. "I'm not finished with you." I wrapped my legs around his waist. He stared into my eyes and kissed me hard. His tongue thrusting into my mouth as his hands grazed up my sides. He moved his mouth to my throat and said, "You're so warm. I'd never be able to be out in the cold without you." I let out a small moan as he kissed just above my breast thus increasing my body temperature even more. "I'm always warm with you." ** “I killed Elijah.” My eyes widened and a grin spread onto my face. “Really?” He nodded with a chuckle. “It wasn’t hard. It was quick and easy.” He pulled the second blanket tighter around us and I rested my head on his chest. "I'm sorry," I suddenly said. "What are you apologizing for now?" He mumbled. His chest rose and fell with even breaths and his heart beat settled to a nice relaxed pace. The sky was getting brighter... It was still dark but lighter than before. "Everything. For leaving. For hurting you. For making you worry so much. For--" His hand tightened on my arm. "Stop apologizing, Alex." "But--" "You didn't have a choice. You left because they had Jay. I admit you should have told us about that but you thought if was better if you went alone. You hurt me yesterday because you were being told to do it. And it was my decision to worry so much not yours." I sighed out a shaky breath. "Gabriel..." "I forgive you. For... Most things." My eyes widened. "What?" "I know Cam kissed you." I squeezed my eyes shut. "I forgot all about that... Gabe I didn't--" "It's okay." I looked into his face. He wasn't okay with it. His face was hard and his eyes were ice cold. "It's not okay. I shouldn't have responded." "You let all of your emotions go at once, something was bound to happen. It's not your fault at all." "It kind of is Gabriel. I understand if you don't forgive me, and I know for a fact you've talked to him about it because I can see you going over it in your head now." He sighed.
