Chapter 89
*“It’s party time”* Alex says to me through mind link; walking into the arena. Simone and the Omegas did a really great job of decorating. And all the different costumes are amazing. I decided to go as a butterfly; with two feelers on my head and purple, gold and green wings that flow out. They are attached to my arms and legs; when I lift my hands; the wings spread out.
“This was a great idea; Cathy and your Rapunzel costume is adorable” I smile at her. “I’m never going to grow my hair this long. I either trip over it, or someone steps on it” she laughs at me.
**“I’m going to get these wolfy rides over and done with”** Jonas huffs. **“You have Isaac, Malo, Kye, Sparty and Okan helping you; imagine the joy on the kid’s faces as you prance around the arena”** I laugh at him. He heads off to the kid’s corner; swearing under his breath as Samantha and Raoul join Cathy and I.
“How did you get your hair to stand up like that, Sam?” I ask; she is wearing all green and her face is painted tan and her hair is standing around her head like petals of a flower. “I don’t know what Doris used. It’s going to take me weeks to wash it out of my hair” she chuckles. “That’s why we love going to her for all our hair needs” Cathy says; pushing her blonde wig behind her back. “I love the watering can too; Raoul” I laugh at him. “I’m here to give my precious flower; her water” he says with a smile. “It’s still, cheesy” Sam says rolling her eyes.
“Great party, you two?” Eden says as her and Tim turn up in their king and queen outfits. “It was Cathy’s idea. She organised everything with Simone” I tell them, smiling at Cathy. “You have done a great job, Cathy” Tim tells her. She blushes, “Thanks, I couldn’t have done it without Simone and the other Omega’s help” she answers him.
“Uncle Toby; can we have a wolfy ride on Uncle Ty? PLLLEASSE” Gemma asks Timothy. “I’m Uncle Timmy, Gemma” he says; “Uncle Timmy; Uncle Toby; same thing. Can we please?” Anthony injects. “How can you refuse; two smiling pups that have asked so nicely to have a ride on Uncle Ty” I smirk at him. “Alex and Toby are right; you are a bitch. Come on kids; let’s get Tyson out, to give you a ride” Tim laughs, taking the kids by the hand and heading to the kid’s corner.
“Where’s Tim going with Gemma and Tony?” Toby asks as he and Olivia come up to us. “Gem asked Uncle Toby for a ride on Tyler to the wrong twin; and Jessi said he can’t refuse, two smiling pups that have asked nicely to have a ride on Uncle Ty” Eden giggles.
“Beck; how are you feeling?” Olivia asks. “Like a beached whale” she replies. “Your only two months pregnant. You still have four months to go” Olivia laughs at her; “says the lady who complained she was an oversized baboon from the moment of conception” I chuckle.
“We can’t wait for Lacey to arrive” Coby says smiling, patting Beck’s tummy. “She will be a welcome addition to our family” I tell them as Alex walks up in his Tarzan costume. “Jonas finished with the zombie wolf?” Toby asks him “More like finished giving the kids a ride. It was never ending; I put a spare costume in the change rooms” he answers.
“Tim; how was the wolfy rides?” Toby smirks at him “Next time; I’m going to demand they find the right twin” he growls, grabbing a soda from a tray going past.
I look out into the crowd; “Joanna seems to have taken a liking to Jasper” I smile as I watch the two of them flirting and laughing with one another. Samantha laughs “From what Soph said; Jasper has been hovering around her like a bad smell, since we all got back. Joanna went to see her at the hospital yesterday and he was there; the two, have been inseparable since.” “And the way she’s been talking about him. Looks like, I’ll be visiting more often” Silias informs us; joining the conversation.
“You finished with the rides too?” Alex calls out to Jeremy “I have; Pedro and Spartacus haven’t. He said they never did anything like this for the kids at Maple Clan. He’s having more fun than they are” he explains as we look towards the giant bear with four kids on his back; running around the arena.
**“Now, this is our family getting together”** Celeste pipes in; I smile at her. **“Yes; this is definitely our family getting together”** I answer her.
“Bea, it’s good to see you” Olivia says, as Bea comes up with another man to Samantha. “It’s good to see everyone as well. I want to introduce you to Terrance; my mate” she smiles. I look down at Beatrice’s neck and smile. She finally let Terry mark her; she deserves to let go of the drugs and be happy. “Did Rhiannon come with you?” I ask her; “yes; she waiting for a ride on your bear” Terry laughs. “Her and every other pup and cub” Jeremy chuckles.
“Do you want to dance, Luna Jessica? I would ask Pedro; why spoil his fun” Jeremy asks me. “I would love to dance Jems” I answer him. I loop my arm through his and we go to the dance floor. “I have to warn you; I love dancing but have two left feet” I tell him. “It’s ok; so, do I” he chuckles.
We find a spot on the dance floor; Jems grabs my hand and twirls me around. “I wanted to tell you, thank you” he says to me. I stop twirling a moment and look at him “For what?” “Pedro said, Alex, Toby, Olivia and you welcomed him as though he always belonged to our pack. You didn’t treat him, any different to the rest of us. I’ve thanked the other three; I wanted to thank you personally, as well” he says giving me another twirl.
“He’s your mate, Jems. He was always a part of our pack; whether we knew it or not” I smile at him. “That’s what the others said, it was warming to know you did it still. I am really appreciative of it” he answers as a tap comes on his shoulder “May I cut in” “Sure” Jeremy says, stepping back, to let Nathanial dance with me.
“I’m so popular tonight” I laugh at him. “Can’t I dance with my baby sister?” he asks, picking me up and spinning on the spot. “Of course, you can” I say to him. “Where’s Debbie?” I ask him, trying to look over his shoulder. “She took off with Omega Simone; said something about a surprise” he tells me. I narrow my eyes at him; “I don’t know what it is either” he says putting his hands up.
The music dies down, Alex, Toby, Adrian and Olivia come over to Nathanial and I. Bronson’s voice comes over the microphone. “Hello everyone; I want to say a few words. Firstly; thank you to Cathy, Jessica and the Gold Moon Pack for putting on this great party for everyone.” There were cheers around the arena.
“I asked Debbie and Simone to help me; but we wanted to say Thank you to everyone here for risking themselves for our safety. Especially Jeremy; going behind enemy lines; I hear your favourite is red velvet cake” he chuckles.
Debbie, Simone and Libby walk out of the kitchen, pushing something covered in a sheet. “Sammy, Seth; would you like to do the honours” Bronson adds as Samantha and Seth walk over to the sheet and unveil a large structure with the word ‘Thank you’ lighting up at the top. It is full of different cupcakes. Red velvet, chocolate mud, French vanilla and lemon zest.
“It’s not much; Judy and I wanted to show you our appreciation for all you did for us” he adds. “It’s perfect; who doesn’t love cake?” Brian calls out, laughing.
“Renee, since you sacrificed the most to help; would you, Jordie and Casey like to take the first cupcakes” Alex calls out to her. Renee moves forward, a tear in her eye. She gives a cupcake to Jordie and then one to Casey and takes one for herself. “It’s open for everyone” she yells.
A rush of 4000 people heads to the structure. We all stay back; as Bronson comes over to us. “Thank you” he says standing in front of Alex and myself. “We would do it again in a heartbeat” Toby tells him. “I know, that’s what makes your community special. We would have never been able to do, what you all did” he informs us.
“You have; you are now a part of our family. You, Silias and Hendrix are always welcome here” Olivia tells him. “I agree; I hope you come for a visit more often. I will make sure Tim and Toby are working as bell boys” Alex smirks. “And Cam to be the valet; he left a note in my car yesterday” he chuckled. “What note?” Alex, Toby, Olivia and myself asked together. He laughs; “a note saying; if something was missing; I must have left it at home.”
“Looks like a little wolf, is ready for bed” I tell them, looking over to Carly bringing Laurie to us. “I’ll see everyone in the morning” I add taking Laurie off Carly and heading out of the arena. “Night” Olivia calls out.
“I got us a cupcake” Alex says, catching up to me. “You should stay” I tell him. “I would prefer to spend time with you and Laurie” he answers, taking Laurie out of my hands. I smile at him “I would prefer that too” giving him a kiss and we continue up to our room.
