Chapter 84
Leanne’s POV
We are all getting anxious; waiting in our little room for someone from the pack to get us out. Gilda refuses to let the spell down; until whoever it is; is standing outside the door.
“Joanna, how are doing sweetie?” I ask her. “I’m nervous; what if something goes wrong and we stay locked up forever” she answers. I give a small chuckle “then we will find another way out. I won’t be caged like a feral animal.”
“Alex, Toby and Tim will get us out” Yvette says. “How can, you be sure?” Joanna asks her, “Because we know our sons. Nathanial and Adrian will be standing beside them too” Cyndy tells her. “And our daughters; they are strong Lunas. Olivia likes electrocuting the bad guys” Gilda laughs.
“We don’t just have one pride Joanna, we have twelve. Because we stand together as one big pride, they will succeed on getting us out” Sophia smiles.
“Jeremy; have they arrived yet?” I mind link “Yeah; we are waiting for everyone to finish being teleported through” he answers. “They are arriving, Jeremy said they are waiting for everyone to get through the porthole.”
Yvette’s teary eyes, glaze over; she must be able to mind link Tim. *“Kids?”* I mind link Alex, Jessica, Olivia and Toby, adding Gilda and Cynthia in the link. *“Mum; it’s good to hear you in my head again”* Alex answers. *“How far away are you?”* Cynthia asks. *“We are almost there. Gerry, Granddad and a few other witches and warlocks conjured 28 different portholes. 8 going to the northern border and 20 to the southern border”* Olivia tells us.
*“When we start the attack; Alex and Pedro will come and get you as soon as the fighting starts”* Toby explains. *“Don’t worry about their appearance. Debbie is really good at what she does; I might need to talk to her about leaving the shop and going back into makeup”* Jessi adds.
*“What do you mean?”* Gilda asks *“We can’t have two dead people walking around, without showing it”* Alex chuckles. I roll my eyes; should have known.
“Leanne?” Joanna calls me. *“Joanna’s calling me. Stay safe. Alex; we will see you shortly”* I close the mind link and look at Joanna. “What’s the matter, Jo?” I ask. “You all had blank looks on your face, I was beginning to worry that asshole across the hall put a spell on you” she said.
Sophia laughs; “Sweetie, you can mind link your dad. We were all mind linking our loved ones.” A smile comes across her face and her eyes glaze over.
“I guess, we sit back and wait for Zombie Alex and Zombie Pedro to come and get us” I smile at the others. “Zombie?” Sophia asks. “Alex and Pedro thought they will play the part of being dead” Gilda explains. Yvette and Sophia roll their eyes and all of us start to giggle.

Jessica’s POV
“How good was it, to talk to Mum through mind link” I say to Olivia. She wipes away the tear rolling down her cheek, “Them being taken; showed us what it was like for them, when we were” she tells me. Even though we were safe because of Toby, they had no knowledge of what was happening, except the phone calls and photos they were receiving. It was the same for us, with them. “It really puts a new light on what they must have been feeling” I agree with her.
“I think it may have been worse; imagine if it was Laurie, Vette or Josie” she frowns. I don’t want to think about it. And Silias must have been beside himself, when Joanna was taken. When Toby and Alex told us what had happened; all the pieces fell into place and why he didn’t want Liv or Hendrix destroying the compound. He didn’t know where she was.
“Everyone is through, Gold Pack we are going in through the left tunnel; everyone fall in; three rows behind Toby, Adrian and Nathanial” Uncle Joe mind links us. I give Alex a kiss; “Come back to me” I say to him. “You, come back to me” he smiles back.
Olivia and myself, walk to the back of the warriors. Debbie, Cathy, Rebecca and Kim were waiting for us. “This is going to be different to the fight at Emerald Moon; they were outnumbered” Beck says. “I hope, it’s the same here” I say, giving a half smile. I know it won’t be; but I can’t think about that at the moment.
2000 men and women, gather around in front of the two tunnels. “Jems has left to inform Carter we are here and have over 1000 men; those in two packs; inform the leaders. Let’s go!” Alex says through mind link to everyone here.
“We will be the last ones to go in; they want Liv and Hendrix out the back from both entrances” I tell those around me. We stand and wait for Grey Moon to go through first; then Bronze Clan.
“Debbie and myself are going with Alex and Pedro to get mum; I mind linked him before. He agreed and said we had to stay behind the pair in case they were attacked by guards” Cathy tells me as Orange Pride move their way forward.
Christian and Coby walk up the back to where we were standing. “Nathanial and Adrian said we had to protect you both” Christian says to Debbie and Cathy. “We can take care of ourselves; I’ve pinned Nath a few times over the years” Cathy huffs. “Why do they have to be so overprotective?” Debbie agrees. “Orders are orders, ladies” Coby says back to them as Rocky Pride move.
“Debbie; your talents as a makeup artist are being wasted. If you wanted to leave the shop, you can” I tell her. “I was thinking about that too. I had so much fun doing the makeup on Alex and Pedro, but I don’t want to leave the shop. Maybe we could expand the shop; make Halloween Costumes for kids and I can do the makeup, around Halloween” she says.
“That’s a great idea, but instead of it being just for kids, we should do Fancy dress for everyone. We can use the empty shop next to us for that. We should have a fancy-dress ball when we get back” Cathy includes as Red Moon move forward. “I can go dressed as a witch” Olivia laughs. As Yellow Pride move forward.
“You’re embracing your witch abilities more” I say to Olivia. “Nessy loves it. She says we are one powerful she-wolf. She reckons it’s an added bonus we can throw lightning bolts out of our fingertips. She even suggested we should try and fart one out of our arse” she laughs. “She’s been hanging around Tyler too long” I laugh back.
We move forward in rows of three, toward the tunnel entrance; behind the light coven. “He we go” I say under my breath. Olivia grabs my hand and squeezes it. I look at her; “Together, Luna Liv” “Together; Luna Jess” she says back, giving me a nervous smile.
