Chapter 89: Please me
Yvonne lay sprawled across the wide bed, the sheets tangled around her legs, her hair loose and messy against the pillows. The room still smelled of perfume, sweat, and something warmer, heavier. The curtains were half drawn, letting in pale afternoon light that brushed over bare skin and the rumpled bed like it was intruding on a secret.
Scar Face sat at the edge of the mattress, his back to her, already reaching for his shirt on the chair. His movements were calm, unhurried, like a man used to leaving rooms like this behind.
Yvonne watched him with a lazy smile, her eyes bright, satisfied.
“That,” she said softly, her voice husky, “was the best I’ve ever had.”
He paused for a moment, shirt halfway in his hands, then chuckled under his breath. “You say that like you’re surprised.”
She laughed, rolling onto her side, propping her head up with her hand. “I am surprised. I didn’t expect you to be… that.”
He finally turned to look at her, his gaze slow, unreadable. “Careful, Yvonne.”
“Careful of what?” she teased. “Telling the truth?”
He shook his head slightly and stood, pulling the shirt over his shoulders. “I need to get back to work.”
Her smile faltered instantly.
“Already?” she asked, sitting up. “You just got here.”
He reached for his belt. “That’s exactly why I have to leave.”
She pouted, hugging the sheet to her chest. “Stay a little longer.”
“I can’t.”
“Why not?” she pressed. “You’re acting like someone is waiting outside.”
“No one is,” he replied, fastening his belt. “But I don’t stay in one place too long.”
Yvonne slipped out of the bed and crossed the room barefoot, the sheet trailing behind her. She moved toward the window and peered through the curtains, scanning the driveway below.
Audrey’s car wasn’t there.
A slow smile spread across her face.
“She’s not back,” Yvonne said casually. “So there’s no rush.”
Scar Face’s jaw tightened slightly. “That doesn’t change anything.”
“It changes everything,” she insisted, turning to face him. “You don’t have to sneak. You don’t have to rush.”
He glanced toward the door instinctively.
She noticed and laughed softly. “Relax. The door is locked.”
“That’s not the point.”
Yvonne closed the distance between them in two steps and pressed her palm flat against his chest. “Then what is the point?”
He exhaled slowly. “Yvonne…”
“Don’t,” she cut in, sliding her fingers into the opening of his shirt. “Don’t start being serious now.”
He caught her wrist gently. “You’re playing a dangerous game.”
She tilted her head, smiling up at him. “I like danger.”
She tugged him backward, guiding him toward the bed. He resisted for only a second before the mattress hit the back of his knees and he sat down heavily.
Yvonne climbed onto the bed with him, straddling his lap easily like she belonged there.
“Stay,” she whispered. “Just a little.”
“I told you…”
“I know,” she said quickly, leaning closer. “Work. Always work. But you’re here now.”
She leaned in and kissed him before he could finish, slow and deliberate. When she pulled back, her forehead rested against his.
“I’m glad you seduced me this morning,” she murmured.
He let out a low breath. “You make it sound like I planned it.”
“Didn’t you?” she asked, smiling. “You knew exactly what you were doing.”
His eyes darkened. “You wanted it.”
“Yes,” she admitted easily. “I did.”
She traced her fingers down his chest, resting her cheek there and inhaling deeply.
“You smell good,” she said. “Like trouble.”
“That’s not a compliment.”
“It is to me.”
He leaned his head back slightly, eyes closing for a moment like he was gathering restraint. “Yvonne, you don’t understand…”
She lifted her head and kissed his jaw, then his cheek. “I understand enough.”
He opened his eyes again, meeting her gaze. “This doesn’t end well.”
She shrugged lightly. “Nothing good ever does.”
She leaned in again, her lips brushing his, slower this time, more insistent. His hands hovered in the air for a moment before finally settling at her waist, firm but hesitant.
“Just stay,” she whispered again. “Audrey isn’t here. No one will know.”
He looked at her for a long second, conflicted, then sighed.
“You’re trouble,” he said quietly.
Yvonne smiled triumphantly and kissed him again, pushing him back against the pillows.
“Good,” she said softly. “I’ve been bored.”
The door remained locked. The curtains stayed drawn.
And outside, the driveway stayed empty.
Yvonne gently took her hands to stroke his cocking, softly moaning.
