Chapter 55
Juliette's POV:
“Where are you going?” he called after me, sounding irritated when I stopped following him and walked the other direction, where I had parked Tess’s car.
“Eh? To my car!” I said and turned around walking towards the car.
“Juliette!” he called, and soon I felt his hand on my shoulder.
“You are coming with me!” he told me as he turned me around, and I looked at him uninterestingly.
“Why? Where are we going, and stop touching me!” I removed his hand from my shoulder as I took a step back.
“I’ll do whatever I want!” he gritted his teeth and got hold of my arm tightly, as he began to pull me towards his car.
“Wait! But what about my car? It’s not actually mine, I borrowed it from my friend Tess. I can’t just abandon it here!” I said, and tried to match his pace with my heels as he dragged me towards his car.
“I’ll have my driver take it back to your house!” was all he said.
“Really? That would be great! By the way whe—” he turned around swiftly as he pulled me towards him.
“Keep your mouth shut!” he said in a low tone, warning me to open my mouth, and I put my finger on my lips, nodding in agreement with him.
As if...
He huffed out air and turned around, while I smirked at him, but composed myself when he turned once again to look at me.
“Get in!” he said as his car beeped when he unlocked, it using his remote keys.
“But where ar—” he pulled the door open and shoved me inside.
“Hey! You don’t need to be so mean!” I yelled, but he slammed the door on my face and walked to the other side. I watched as he stood there for some minutes before opening the car door and entering.
“Put your seatbelt on!” he said, more like commanded, whilst he put on his seatbelt and ignited the engine. I did as he said, not because I followed his order, but for my own safety, or else I knew I would fly out of the damn car if he loses his mind in the middle of the ride.
“So? Where are we going?” I asked as I played with the strap of my belt.
He stayed quiet, not even glancing my way. I looked at him while he drove using one hand, and with the other, he rubbed his temple. He looked agitated and restless all of a sudden.
“What did you eat today?” I heard him ask, and I hummed in response.
“What did you eat today?” He snapped again, which made me jerk up in my seat.
“Woah!” I laughed and then shook my head. “Nothing!” I replied and he looked back at the road.
“Then what did you drink?” he asked, and I shrugged my shoulders,
“Water I guess,” I replied. “Why are you asking?” I asked, and he looked at me and then back at the road, honking multiple times even though there was no one in his way.
“You are weird sometimes,” I muttered to myself.
“Not as weird as you!” he replied.
Dog ears...
As I watched him turn, I recalled the direction Willi told me his penthouse was.
So we are going to his penthouse...
“I see!” I mumbled.
As the car halted, I looked out of the window to find us under the gigantic building called, ‘Grand Virid Premium.’
“You live here?” I asked, amazed by the majestic grandeur of the building, but when no one replied, I turned to look at him, only to find his seat empty.
“Zachary?” I said and the door on my side opened.
“Come out!” he offered me his hand, which I ignored as I removed my seatbelt and jumped out of the car, completely ignoring him. I heard him taking sharp breaths though.
“Oh wow!” I said, impressed by the surroundings as I walked into his penthouse. I walked up to the glass window, where the view of the city was nostalgic. I wondered how it would look at night, and even though we were in great heights, the hustle and bustle of the city still reached our ears. Everything inside was magnificent and extraordinarily beautiful. The interior was top-class, and everything was designed to trifles. But contrasting to his personality, the interior was warm and loving. From the floor to the roof, and even the furniture, everything was white.
“Now tell me!” I heard his voice from behind me and I turned around, raising my eyebrows at him.
“You know what, Zachary, let’s play a game, shall we?” I asked as I took a seat on the couch.
“Answer my questions Juliette, don’t try to change the subject!” he said and stood before me. His soul-penetrating eyes gazing down at me as if trying to read me.
“What about my game?” I questioned and once again, he chose to avoid my question.
“Why were you there today and in—in this dress? I thought you told me before that you don’t wear this type of dress; so why?” he questioned and that brought a smile on my face. A sly smile.
“You are surely talking a lot today Zachar—”
“Juliette!” he slammed his hand on the headrest of the couch. “Answer the damn question,” he asked in a deep low voice.
His eyes glared down at me, but instead of being frightened like I used to be, I smirked and crossed my arms over my chest. His eyes followed my action and ended up on my chest, but then he shot up from his position and turned around, shoving his hands into his pant pockets.
“Answer my question.”
“Not until you play the game with me,” I said, which made him turn around to face me.
“Juliett—”
“Let’s have something interesting in this. If you win, I’ll answer your questions,” I said as I stood up from my spot and walked towards the table, where I poured a glass of water for myself and gulped it down.
“And if I win,” I turned around with a sly smile on my face. “You will have to give me something,” folding my hands across my back, I walked up to him.
“What do you want?" he asked as he looked nervous all of a sudden.
“You will see!” I answered, and walked around him whilst he stood in the same place.
“What type of game is it?” he asked, and I smiled before answering.
“Q and A.”
“Huh?”
“Simple question and answers...”
“Questions about what?” he questioned when I stood behind him.
“Oh, you know the general stuff. General knowledge,” I said and walked closer to him, when he removed his hand from his pant pockets.
“What?” I heard him mumble. He must be really confused right now, and I knew it because it was already my intention from the beginning to make him, even more confused than he already was.
“By the way, I forgot to tell you about the rules,” I said, more like whispered, into his ear from behind.
“Rules?”
“Number one, I am the one who is going to ask questions, and you will the one answering.”
“Wha—”
“Let me finish! Number two, you can’t interrupt me. Number three, you can’t move from your place. Number four, you can’t answer anything else than the questions that is asked of you,” I chuckled a little before continuing. “Let me check your IQ level today.”
“And finally, number five, you can’t close your eyes,” I finished as I stood in front of him and made eye contact.
“What are these things?” he questioned and I shrugged.
“My game, my rules.”
“Whatever! Just ask your questions and finish this all,” he said and turned around, but then stopped when I opened my mouth. “The interesting part of this game, is the fewer clothes I have on me, the smaller your chance of winning is,” I said, and like a bolt of electricity, he turned around with widened eyes.
“What did you just say?” he asked, even though he heard me.
“You heard it. The game is simple. I will ask you questions and you will answer, the wrong answer will make me strip something from my body, but at the same time, a right answer will make me put the thing back on. So, in simple terms, if I'm not wearing much...Then you lose,” I smirked when he gave me a disbelieving look.
“What type of game is this?” he breathed out, looking breathless.
“The usual, haven’t you played this type of game before?” I questioned, and he narrowed his eyes at me. “Oh you have played this type of game before?” he cross-questioned me.
“Of course!” I shrugged my shoulders at him.
“With whom? Emm—”
“Stop! Of course I have played this type of game before, but only with girls, and it was taking money or belongings instead of stripping clothes,” I answered checking my nails.
“So why are yo—I mean yo—Why you play—str—wi—th I mean befo—me,” he kept on stuttering like an old record.
“Are you done?” I asked raising an eyebrow. “Shall we play or are you afraid?” I questioned mocking him in the process.
“Afraid?” he questioned back.
“Afraid that you will lose of course!” I shrugged my shoulders and wiggled my eyebrows at him.
“Who do you think I am?” he asked as he took a step forward, but I held my hand out for him to stop.
“Whoever you are! Just tell me if you are in,” I said, and he adjusted his suit before nodding reluctantly.
“Good!” I smirked at him.
“Take a seat,” I gestured to the couch, and he looked down before walking to it and taking a seat on it.
“You remember the rul—”
“I bloody remember! Now start the game,” he snapped at me. I raised my eyebrows at him and at his behavior before dragging the chair from the dining table in front of him.
Taking a seat on the chair, I made sure that every move I made looked sexy. I couldn't forget what he told me last night...'Don’t touch me'... I’ll make sure his body craves for me and only me.
“So let’s start with an easy question,” I smiled at him, to which he rolled his eyes at.
“I have seen you watching football most of the time so, who won 2016's Best Footballer in the World?” I asked and he scoffed at me.
“Cristiano Ronaldo,” he answered and I clapped a little.
“Right answer.”
“Who is the UN secretary general?”
“Antonio Guterres,” he answered correctly, without any hesitation.
“Mostly which gasses are found on the planet Jupiter?”
“Simple Hydrogen and Helium,” he answered looking proud when I smiled at him for answering the correctly.
“Who is the founder of the social network service, Twitter?”
At this question I saw he looked little nervous.
I knew he had no knowledge about social media sites because he used none, but then he answered, “Mark Zuckerberg." I exhaled as I shifted on my position, keeping my hands on my knees. I smiled at him.
“He is the founder of Facebook, Mr. Sullivan. So, congratulations for your first wrong answer,” I smirked when I raised my hand to strip something from my body and I watched as the color drained from his face. He probably thought I would strip my clothes off. But then, I removed my earrings and I put them in front of him on the coffee table, which was the only thing that separated us.
“Next...”
“Who discovered blood circulation?”
“How in the world would I know—”
“Ah! This is against the rules. You can’t speak anything but the answer,” I reminded him, and he made a face, but then I removed my heels slowly. “Rules are rules,” I smiled at him when I noticed his eyes trained on my moves.
“Who invented contact lenses?”
“Your father!” he replied, more like snapped angrily, but to my benefit, going against the rules.
“No, he didn’t! Minus point!” I glared at him and said in a mocking tone, as I removed the bracelet and watch from my wrist.
“Next...” The game continued with him answering questions correctly, which made me put things back on that I had removed earlier, but then some he couldn’t answer, because even I didn’t know the answer of who invented a pencil.
“What is the name of the first Romanian fiction film?” I questioned, and he averted his gaze away from my face.
“I guess you don’t know that!” I said and unhooked the first button below my already plunging neckline, which enabled more skin to flash.
As I looked back at Zachary he was looking back at me or should I say at my...
“Who is the President of France?” I questioned.
“Emmanuel Macron,” he answered correctly, which made me hook the first buttons. He looked disappointed all of a sudden, as he shifted on his position and looked at me.
“Who is the president of America?” I asked and he opened his mouth to answer.
“D- Barack Obama,” he answered, and that brought a smile on my face.
Finally!
“Wrong! It’s Donald Trump. Which year do you live in?” I asked, sounding irritated but I unhooked the button once again and watched as he moved forward in his place. His eyes still on my bosom.
“So what is the capital of—”
“Fuck it!” he stood up from his place and I smirked in triumph. “And you lose,” I whispered.
I watched as he huffed out air, his chest rumbling and his hands balled into fists. His eye color changed as he took long strides to reach me and pulled me by my arms to pull me up. Instead of brown eyes, what I witnessed was deep brown eyes with dilated pupils, which only indicated lust. He pulled me to him and angled his face, as if he was going to kiss me, but before he could, I put my palm on his mouth, which caught him off guard because he looked at me with questioning yet desire filled eyes.
“You can’t touch me!” I reminded him.
He pulled my hand off his mouth and held my head. “I can do whatever I want,” forcibly he tried to kiss me, but then I turned my head and tried to push him off me.
“Stop resisting me God damn it!” he said frustrated, which made me want to laugh in his face.
“I am just following your wishes. You told me not to touch you yes—”
He cut me off as he got hold of my hand and folded it backwards, pulling me close to him.
“Forget that I ever said that stupid thing,” he said, and once again tried to kiss me, only for me to turn my head blocking his kiss. But then his lips ended up on my cheek, making things even worse. I had never really imagined that I would have to handle him in this condition. He started placing wet kisses all over my face, and then on my neck, which made my knees go jelly.
This is not good...
I will literally give up to him.
But I can’t.
Not until I hear what I want to hear.
“Zachary! Za—Zachary! Zac!” I snapped at him when he continued ignoring my pleas to stop.
But I don’t really want him to stop...
But then...I can’t let him touch me until I hear it again.
But like magic, it worked. He stopped his assaults and looked at me.
Hmm... I guess it worked.
“What did you just say?” he asked and I furrowed my eyebrows.
“I said sto—”
“No! Not that what did you just say now?” he questioned, and trying to recall what I actually said, the name left my mouth even before I realized it “Zac?” I said slowly and watched as his eyes dilated and contracted, but then a different emotion appeared on his face and before I could question what’s wrong, his lips were on mine.
Disabling me from moving in my place, he held my hands firmly on my back as he ravished my lips, kissing me passionately and wildly, not even letting me speak, and completely ignoring my pleas. As much as I hate to confess it, I was starting to give in to his kisses and affection. So badly, that at one point I stopped resisting and let him do whatever he wanted, but then as if someone threw a bucket full of water on me, I opened my eyes once again, resisting him when he pulled away. Both of us were breathless as we panted and breathed in desperately for air.
“Today, you are mine!” he said all of a sudden, and before I could open my mouth, he let go of my hand and in a swift moment carried me bridal style.
“Zachary! Zachary!” I gasped in shock and held his collar, scared for my life.
“Put me down! Zachary! Put me down!” I yelled when he took long strides towards his room, and the next thing I knew, I was thrown on something soft as feather, but before I could throw a fit or yell at him for throwing me, he was already hovering over me.
“Zachary! You jerk! Get off!” I pushed on his chest while he pulled me to him by my waist and sat on top of me.
“What the hell are you doing? Ah!” I complained when he started stripping himself.
“Playing my own stripping game, 'cause I can’t make love you while I am dressed. I need to be naked and I need to strip yo—”
“Stop! Stop!” I put my hands on my ears stopping myself from hearing whatever he was saying.
Damn my love hormones!
Damn my love for him!
My heartbeat sped up with every comment he made.
Damn the butterflies in my stomach.
Damn you Cupid!
I am just fed up with my heart for reacting to every single thing he does. Every single little thing makes me want to want him and love him more.
“Zachary get off!” I tried to put on a serious face as I warned him to get off, but to my shock, all he did was remove his suit and then unbutton the first few buttons of his shirt, allowing me to see his well-defined sculpted chest.
“Oh wo—No! Juliette! Get a hold on yourself!” I mentally scolded myself, trying to push him off.
“Stop resisting. I know you want me, or else you wouldn’t have played that stupid game with me. This is all your fault!” he said as he continued unbuttoning his shirt to his navel, but then his hands went down and lifted my left leg up in the air, holding it just below my knees as he adjusted himself and pulled me more to him, as I continued wiggling and resisting him.
He landed on top of me and as I was wiggling, he seemed like he lost his balance and he tumbled on me.
“Z—achary!” I breathed out because of his weight on me.
But that didn’t stop him. Raising my leg in the air he positioned himself on me and his lips ended up in the valley of my breasts taking the air out of my lungs out of shock.
“Zachary!” I snapped at him for his irresistible assaults.
As he continued to kiss, I took a deep breath in and out before applying all my force, and finally I succeeded in pushing him away, but only for a little moment, because he got his balance. Before he could do anything else, I rolled down from the bed and was already on my heels, running out of the room.
“Juliette!” He yelled. I ran back to the room where we just played the game and ran towards the couch.
“Stop! Juliette!” he called as he ran after me.
“The tables have turned huh? Today you are running after me!” I mocked him when he tried to get a hold of me, but I dodged him and ran circles around the couch.
“But unlike you, I won’t end up in a damn fountain!” he replied and I glared at him but then he continued, “I will end up in my bed,” he smirked and lunged at me, but I crouched down avoiding him and again running on my heels.
“In your dreams!” I threw the pillow at him that I took from the couch.
“Oh yeah? Come here!” he yelled.
“No! Not until you tell me what I have been waiting f—” I ran towards the bedroom, and before he could enter, I closed the door on his face, locking it in the process.
“Open the damn door Juliette!” he banged on the door.
“No! You stay there! You deserve that!” I said and put my ear on the door wanting to hear what he was doing.
“You will regret this! Juliette!” I heard him yell and I laughed at it when my eyes fell on the glass window. Without realizing what I was doing, I was already running towards its direction when Zachary reached on the other side of the glass window at the same time as me.
We both got hold of the open window’s door and pulled it, with me trying to lock the window and him trying to pull it open. Waves of laughter erupted out of my mouth and I could hear him laugh when we fought and continued our assaults of pulling the door open.
“You think you’re smart?” I tried to close the glass window, but he had more power than me; he was easily pulling it open.
“Let go!” because I was laughing, it was becoming harder for me to close it, when an idea formed in my mind.
“Ow!” I winced, and in a moment he let go of the window, and hurriedly I slammed it closed and locked it from inside.
“Juliette!” he looked worried for a moment, but then he understood and he put his hands on his waist, looking at me with a neutral expression.
“Sly fox!” I heard him and I threw my head back laughing harder.
“Oh really? Admit your defeat already!” I mocked him.
“Not until I make you scream my name,” he smirked and I gasped, but then blushed as I raked a hand through my hair.
“You forgot something!” he said, and I raised my eyebrows at him confused.
“This is my house! So,” he took a step back, and took something out, which made me gasp in shock.
“I have the keys!” He showed me the spare keys as he walked around towards the door to open it, but I stopped him as I called him.
“Look, Zachary, I don’t want it!” I yelled as I stood near the window and glanced outside. He returned back to me on the other side of the window.
“What do you mean?” he asked in a low tone. All of a sudden the liveliness in him disappeared, and a dark aura engulfed him. His eyes turned void of any emotions when I said that.
“I mean I don’t want to do it with you!”
“What? Then with wh—” before his face could contour into anger I stopped him. “No, I mean I can’t—do it with you until you give me what I want,” I said and creasing his forehead he shifted in his position before replying, “And what is that?”
“The words!” I said, as hope and happiness lit up my face.
“Words?” he questioned with a baffled expression.
“Words! Zachary, the three words!” I said, and hoped he understood what I meant. And thankfully it looked as if it struck him, as the tension dissipated from his face and once again his eyes twinkled.
“Why is it important?” he questioned, which made me huff at him.
“You can’t enter the room unless you tell me those words,” I warned him.
“Huh? I have the keys. Forgot?” he asked, looking amused all of a sudden.
“Do you really think I will let you touch me, even if you succeed coming in here?" I snapped at him, feeling the anger boil inside me. How dare he?
He seemed to notice the change in my mood as he sagged his shoulders and raked his hand in his hair.
“Okay fine!” he huffed out and I felt lightheaded as I jumped in my place excitedly. I desperately wanted to hear it from his mouth. He noticed my happiness, and smiled sideways as he opened his mouth, and I leaned forward, wanting to hear it, but then he closed his mouth.
“Juliette I—” he continued opening and stopping mid-sentence for five minutes while I paced around the room, stood before him, leaned against the glass window, and sat on the bed.
“Fuck!” I heard him curse.
“So is it so difficult for you to say three simple words to me?” I grew frustrated by his attempts and yelled at him for that.
“Excuse me? Simple? You call it simple?” he snapped back.
“You have no right to snap at me when you are at fault! Do you understand Mr. Zachary Udolf Sullivan!” I snapped back, crossing my hands over my chest and looking the other way, disheartened and miffed at him at the same time.
“Look! Juliett—” he said, but I cut him off rudely.
“No! Don’t say my name because you were lying yesterday. You don’t have any feelings for me! You can’t even say the simple three words to the woman you love—”
“Juliette!” he slammed his hand on the glass door so hard that made me squeal frightened.
Thankfully the window didn’t break, and I looked at him to find him glaring at me with rage-filled eyes. “My love doesn’t need any words to express it, do you understand! So, don’t question my love again,” he warned as I felt the end of my eyes stinging.
“Yes? Why can’t you say it? You told me that you love me, so why can’t you give me the only thing I want? I thought it becomes easier for people to express their feelings when they are in love, and here it’s just some mere words. Can’t you do that for me?” I cried out to him, and soon watched as regret filled his face for lashing out at me.
“Look! Juliette, you don’t understand! It’s not easy like it seems. It’s diff—” I cut him off.
“What is not easy? I love you, Zachary. See? You have to say it loud to me like I jus—” I stopped when I realized what I just did. Oh shoot!
I looked at him to find him frozen in his spot as he looked at me with wide eyes for the umpteenth time of the day. I felt my cheeks burning and my lips trembling. Even my hands trembled. I turned around swiftly, putting my hands on my mouth, stopping myself from squealing.
“Juliette yo—you are really dumb!” I muttered to myself, feeling shy.
“So it’s not really a mere word after all,” I heard him say, and slowly when I turned around to look at him, I found his head lowered down as he put one of his hands on the wall next to the window and another on his heart.
As I realized I had managed to raise his heartbeat just like he does to me, a smile appeared on my lips, and I continued watching him intently, wanting to know more about what effect I have on him.
“Juliette?” I looked at him and then he opened his mouth to speak. “I love you.” Making me his for eternity as he raised his head up and looked straight into my eyes he said, “I really do.”
Slowly, I watched as he turned around and left the place while I did the same, as I walked towards the door, but stood in front of it, as I couldn’t stop the happy tears trickling down my face. As much as I tried to wipe them, more kept falling down.
“He loves me,” I muttered to myself, putting a hand on my heart. “Do you hear it? He said he loves me” I told my wildly beating heart, and when I finally managed to control myself, I composed myself and wiped the tears away from my face. I tried to smile, and slowly put my hand on the doorknob, before rotating it open, only to reveal him standing there with his right hand on the side of the wall above his head, with his shirt open, hanging loosely on his body while he looked at me.
“I can’t promise you that I will not make you cry, because after few hours you won’t be able to get up from the bed for days,” he whispered huskily, which made me look down in order to hide the blush that formed on my face.
“Get in!” I muttered as I turned around, and he walked in after me, closing the door behind him.
