Chapter 28 Silhouette (2)
Leonidas positioned himself on top of Disha, stripped off all his clothes, and embraced her passionately. This was how he showed his love; he always wanted them to be this close, as if there was no way they could be apart.
"I love you so much, Disha. I want you so much; you're the only girl I love. I want no one but you. I can't wait any longer, I can't hold back my feelings. I—"
"Lucien and I have already made love, Your Majesty!"
"What?"
"We've been doing it for a year. You're too late, too late," Disha said softly, her face sad. Leonidas, who was about to kiss her, stopped immediately after hearing Disha's confession of a secret she had kept hidden for a year.
Leonidas froze, his heart threatening to leap out of his chest. He was too shocked to hear what he most wanted to hear.
"I've been waiting for this moment, I've held back all the women around me, just to be with you like this." You damn bitch, do you realize what you've done?"
Her eyes were filled with tears, and she looked furious and disappointed. She couldn't believe Lucien had deceived her like this. Lucien had managed to trick her with his cold demeanor and make Leonidas believe there had never been a love story between them.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty!"
"Bastard...!" Leonidas shouted in annoyance, his fists pounding on the wooden floor beside Disha.
The wooden floor was dented and shattered, enough to show how angry he was. Tears fell onto Disha's face, stunning her. She saw such love in the eyes of Leonidas, the man she hated for his arrogance.
Disha was speechless; she let him cry, expressing his disappointment.
"You will definitely pay for this, Disha! I swear I won't forgive you!"
Enraged, Leonidas immediately planted a rough and furious kiss on Disha's lips. He hugged her tightly, forcing her to open her mouth wider.
Disha tried to push him away as she began to struggle to breathe. But Leonidas didn't care, he increasingly showed his aggression and who was in power here.
Disha struggled, feeling suffocated by the kiss, as if her very soul had been sucked out of her.
Leonidas broke the kiss, realizing he needed something to further arouse her. He grinned, like a wolf who had smelled the blood of its prey.
"Lucien, bring me two bottles of wine!"
"What are you going to do?"
"I want you and me to drink it to the last drop so the three of us can have a great time tonight!"
"How could I forget, Your Majesty? Because of you, I realized who I truly am. I was naive to think you would always be on my side. I tried to forget our ancestors' dark history, thinking that in the future there would be no more hatred between our clans. But I was wrong; a slave is a slave. It is a curse that must be accepted, whether we like it or not. Just as my father could not escape the curse until he died, I will never be able to."
Disha's eyes welled with tears. She saw the disappointment in Leonidas's eyes again, and it was all because of her. She just wanted Leonidas to hate her, just as the Emperor had, who had ignored all the sacrifices her father had made for this dynasty.
"You always break my heart like this. But why can't I hate you? I can't, my heart refuses to abandon you."
"You always use your heart, Your Majesty. An emperor has no right to use their feelings for others. You are destined to be a cruel creature, just like the blood of my ancestors that flows in my veins. Sooner or later, you will lose your ability to love, and you will lose the love you have for me."
"No! I will not lose my feelings for you, Disha! I will always love you!"
"No, Your Majesty! You—"
Leonidas's tears streamed down his face. Disha fell silent; she had made him cry again. She felt guilty, but she couldn't take back her words.
"I understand, you're just afraid that one day I won't be able to love you anymore because of my curse. You're right, I was too confident that I would love you forever," he said as he released her hug and walked away.
Disha froze, her body frozen as she no longer felt the man's embrace. She didn't know what was happening to her or why she couldn't let Leonidas go.
"Your Highness—" Disha subconsciously called out, hoping Leonidas would stop walking. But as she expected, Leonidas stopped in his tracks and looked back with a bitter smile.
"What's wrong, Disha? Why did you call me? Are you afraid I'll turn away from you?"
"N-no, I—"
"You and Lucien, you two are truly a perfect match, aren't you? What a hypocritical couple!"
Disha lowered her head, her eyes wet. She wanted to cry because she didn't understand what she really wanted. She hated Leonidas, but she didn't want him to leave her.
"You're right, Your Majesty! I'm a hypocrite, I'm truly pathetic!" Disha sobbed. The overwhelming feeling made her hate herself.
Leonidas stared at her for a moment before finally walking over to her and embracing her again. Without a word, Leonidas kissed Disha's lips, showing all the love he had.
"You idiot! You cried on purpose to make me weak, didn't you?"
"I'm sorry for—"
"Forget it, understand? We'll start this story over again, just you and me."
