Chapter 32

"How" she mumbled her eyes clouded with unshed tears. l could see so much pain and suffering in her eyes and it really broke my heart.

"The doctor confirmed with me that Mr Parker and I are related but there's a huge chance that he's not my father which is why I called you here because I want to hear it from you. I don't want to hear it from some stranger outside Mrs Parker. I said and she winced. I don't think either of us is ready for the mother and daughter thing and until I'm comfortable with that then I won't call her mother.

"I wish I could tell you but telling you will only put yours and your brother's life at risk and that is something I could never do, I don't care if you hate me but l would rather have you hating me than lose you, it's ionic that a month ago I didn't even know about you but now you exist in every that I do and every one of my plans include you in them and I can see the future I know you're going to have, l can't wait to see you grow to be a successful and formidable lawyer" she said holding my hand, yes I am curious about who my father is but also it a bigger part of me wants to protect my mother from whatever she's going through.

"I won't tell anyone Mrs Parker but there's something I really have to know, does Mr Parker know and is that the reason why he hates me." I asked her because his behaviour clearly shows that he is holding something against me and I don't want to have to beg him to have a relationship with me if he isn't even my biological father.

"c yes he knows and that's one of the reasons why he doesn't like you, the both of you remind him of your biological father to remind him of something that I can never give him." She had a faraway look as she said that. She didn't like talking about my paternity but she just confirmed to me that both me and Liam share the same father. I don't know if that's a relief or not because I'm not sure I want anything to do with Mr Parker.

l think I just saw a different side to him ,he's not the man he claims to be in fact there's some evilness, I wouldn't even be surprised if my mother is being threatened or blackmailed by Mr Parker but there was a certain glow that appeared when she mentioned my biological father and it clearly shows that she still loves him and it's just so sad since she doesn't want to talk about him maybe I could've helped her find him.

"So does Liam know "l asked changing the subject. "He is very much aware of both matters that you're asking about "she half smiled at me. "How did you know what l was even asking about"

"You're my daughter so l think we have some connection "she said and we laughed. " you and Ali don't share a relationship whatsoever though "l asked wondering and she just shrugged.

"The day l tell you about your father l will explain why that is" she promised and l didn't fuss over it.

"So let's talk boyfriend "she said excitedly and l shook my head side ways. "There's no boyfriend "l told her but she looked at me like l had two heads.

"Uhm, l hate to break it down to you but Ali mentioned you and Killian that day so please stop these mind games" she smirked.

"Killian and l are impossible on so many levels "l said sadly because l was falling for him before this whole mess but now l just don't think l can be anywhere near him without thinking about his good for nothing pervert of a brother.

"You're a good person "she said with tears welling in her eyes. "That's all you got from all l said" l questioned her.

"You have a conscious and you can distinguish between right and wrong "she looked at me and her words filled me with a certain warmth.

"Do you think we did the right thing "

"No we didn't but it was our only solution, l just got you so losing you was out of the question" she said petting my hand.

"You're a good mom" l said turning her words against her.

"Only you and Liam would agree" she said sadly. The wedge between her and Ali was clearly upsetting him but l'm sure she doesn't even lose her sleep over it.

"So when do l meet Liam" l asked excited.

"He was just as excited as you are when l told him but he has an important interview in Toronto and even though he didn't want to attend after he found out about you l still forced him. l just want the very best for my babies" she smiled

"We're hardly babies anymore "l shook my head.

"l know so maybe you guys can make me a grandmother "she smiled suggestively and l choked on my food and she laughed. "l'm joking honey you're only 18 "she laughed harder. "Laughing and smiling suits you" l said to her. l like how free she is outside that house.
