Chapter 15 — Fussy

Sophia's POV:

I couldn't sleep. I just couldn't stop thinking about Victor next door. After our date, he asked to be my Daddy, saying that I should think about it. Well, I'd been thinking about it for most of the night. I decided to go ask Mom for help. She was my parent for a reason, and she had to help me, even if it was two in the morning.

I left my bed and went to her and Fredrick's room. I knocked first, not ready to see my stepdad naked. I waited for a minute, then knocked again. This time, Fred opened the door for me. He looked at me with surprise before asking what was wrong. "Are you okay, Soph?" he asked.

"Can I come in?" I asked him, needing to talk with my mother.

He invited me in. I went to their bed and shook my mother awake. She looked at me with a confused look before turning to her husband, who just went back to bed.

"Can't it wait for the morning, Sophia?" she asked. She knew I was here for something, and I was not in my Little space. If I were scared, I would've run in crying and calling for her.

"No, it can't. I need help now," I told her honestly, and she sat up in bed to hear what was wrong.

"Victor asked me to be my Daddy," I told her.

"That's great news, honey, and it can definitely wait till the morning," she said before going back to bed.

"No, Mom, stay up. I don't know if I should say yes or no," I said. This was something very important. She couldn't just ignore me.

"I think you two were made for each other, Sophia, and your mother agrees. You got our blessing, baby girl. Now, go annoy my son so we can sleep," Frederick said. I kind of forgot he was there with us too.

"What he said, Soph. Now out." My mother kicked me out. Well, thanks a lot, Mother!

I went back to my room and kept thinking about it until I could muster up enough courage to go talk to Victor. So what if it was almost six a.m.? That was one of the best decisions I'd ever made. We ended up falling asleep together in his bed. I only woke up when all our siblings came into his room to look at us.

Mom told them about our little rendezvous at two a.m., that traitor. Victor and I got out of bed. I went to my room to get ready before we both went down for breakfast. We had waffles with ice cream and strawberries for breakfast. Everyone was celebrating us for becoming a couple.

Kyle and Adam took celebrating and teasing me way too far. They decided to just call me baby for the rest of the day and baby me the whole day. It was fun at first, but then they started to get on my nerves when they asked if I needed to go potty or they tried to hold my hand on the stairs for the tenth time. I decided to get my revenge and hit Adam with a good punch to his shoulder.

"Hey, what was that for?" he asked in disbelief, so I punched him again.

"No need for violence, little sis, or I'll call Vic," Adam threatened.

"Call him!" I said, having had enough with him before leaving him and moving down the stairs. Alvin was my only ally today since he didn't try to baby me or tease me for being with Victor now.

Alvin and I played video games. I wasn't that good at them, but he still let me win a few times, making me jump up in happiness before I went in for a hug.

I felt strong hands on my waist pulling me back toward a strong chest. Then, I felt a warm breath on my neck and a growl. Did Victor just growl? I turned to him, but his eyes were fixed on Alvin, who was now looking down to the floor.

Victor pulled me into his lap. I didn't want to play anymore. I just sat there with him. Even with his strange actions, I felt safe around him. Speaking of safe, I needed to call Niti, or she'd have my head Monday for keeping all this news from her.

I tried to get up from Victor's lap, but he wouldn't let me. I tried again, and Victor's arms grew even tighter around me.

"Vic, let me go," I said, but he didn't.

"No," he replied.

"Victor, please," I said, honestly trying to fight his hands off me, but he wouldn't let go.

"Ah, Alvin. Help." I turned to him for help. He turned to Victor and spoke slowly, keeping his eyes low.

"Victor, you need to let Sophia get up. You're hurting her," he said very slowly, like he was speaking to a wild animal. It felt like Victor was one, with how hard he was holding onto me. "Victor, you're hurting Sophia. Now let her go." This seemed to do the trick, and Victor let me go.

The second I felt his hands loosen from around my waist, I got up and moved away. Victor had a big pout on his face. I still ignored him and ran to my room to call Niti. She picked up right away and screamed in my ear when I told her about—well, about everything.

I ended my call with Niti and stayed in my room until dinner time. I didn't sit next to Victor; I sat next to Sammy, which made Vic growl. He stood next to Sammy, and the poor guy just fell off the chair, trying to move fast enough.

Victor took Sammy's place next to me. He fussed over me and my food, cutting my food into smaller bite-sized pieces and feeding me. It felt nice to be spoiled by Victor, but every time I even moved an inch from him, he would pout and fuss until I was close to him again.

By bedtime, Victor was begging me to sleep in his room with him. For the first time ever, I felt like I was the one dealing with a fussy Little and not the other way round. What was up with Victor?
