Chapter 22

'I'm already dead. This man is worst than El Diablo \[The devil\]' She said to herself inwardly as she watch him lit a cigarette.

“Why the fvck, are you still staring at me?? Get the hell outta here and meet me tonight, with the other mobsters." He told her, "And don't be late." He added.

She quickly made a quick bow before hurriedly walking out.

"I regret the very say I accepted the foolish bet, I'm dead meat." She muttered under her breath.

Since Lila was angry, and still insisted on not going to school, just to 'protect them' Lily was the only one who went, and now they were having Literature class.

Tyler kept stealing glances at Lily while throwing frustrated sigh here and there. It was obvious his mind wasn't on the teacher.

Evan and Jordan, his friends noticed it, and they glanced at eachother.

Lucia also noticed it and couldn't help but ball her fist by her side, as she glared hatefully at Lily who was concentrated on the teacher's teachings.

"Tyler!" Mrs. Aston, the teacher yelled for the third time.

He looked at her, "Yes?"

"It seems like you're distracted, can you tell me my last words?" Mrs. Aston asked, and he stared blankly at her unable to say anything.

She let out a sigh, "Please focus." She said, and he only rolled his eyes at her.

What could she do? She knew he could get her sacked with a snap of his fingers. Their parents were one of the many top shareholders of the school.

'Son of a bi*ch' Lily muttered under her breath and turned to his direction, only for them to make eye contact.

Their gazes locked for a moment, before she put on a stern face, and face the teacher back.

He let out another frustrated sigh as he ran his hands through his hair.

*CAFETERIA*

They had two more classes after English and now it was lunch break.

Lily sat alone in the cafeteria eating, it was usually her and Lila, they had no real friends in particular, it was just both of them.

She stared at everyone in the cafeteria eating in pair and she could only clench onto her sandwich tightly.

Her face lightened a bit, when she saw Sally coming towards her. The girl who Lila had saved from Lucia and her friends.

Sally, as the normal nerd she was, had her head bent low as she walked towards her.

She didn't realise that Tyler and his friends were also coming the same way, but at her front, not until she hit her head on Jordan's body.

"Ouch." She whinced as she looked up at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked her and she nodded.

"Yes, I'm sorry." She said, and quickly walked away.

Jordan shrugged as he ran to catch up with Evan and Tyler's pace.

As Sally approached Lily table, Lily who noticed her talking to Jordan frowned, as she didn't notice the scene before that.

"Can I sit? The other tables are filled." Sally asked and Lily nodded.

"Oh, so that's why you came you wanna sit with me, but sure, why not?" Lily said, as Sally took a seat, then she asked, "Why were you speaking to Jordan?"

"I mistakenly bumped into him, so I apologised." Sally replied, and Lily scoffed at their direction.

"You better try to avoid them. They're all stupid jerks, who takes joy in humiliating people. You saw what they did to me, didn't you?"

"I did. I'll try to avoid them." Sally said, and Lily nodded satisfactorily.

"You wanna go order lunch?" Lily asked.

"No...I'm okay." Sally said.

"You're sure?" Lily asked and Sally only nodded as she began flipping through her Math text book, she had placed on the desk, and Lily could only help but roll her eyes.

'So nerdy' She thought, and then continued with her sandwich, when her gaze diverted to Lucia, Maeve and Jodie coming towards her.

"Hey, how'd you feel after getting broken?" Lucia asked mockingly staring at her, and Lily diverted her gaze.

"Aren't we talking to you??" Jodie asked, but no reply came.

Just when Jodie was about to hot her, Lucia stopped her, and Jodie gave her a puzzled glance, but Lucia ignored her.

Lucia dragged her by her chin to face her, and when she did she said, "I'll be all goody-goody today, but I've just got one question for you. Where is your sister?"

"Let me go!" Lily forcefully pushed her hands from her chin, "What sister!?"

"The eldest. I don't know her name." Lucia replied.

"Tanya. What's your business with Tanya?" Lily asked immediately.

"The thing is, I might know where this your Tanya is." Lucia said and folded her arm.

Lily turned sharply to her, "You're lying! You don't know where Tanya is."

"And what if I do? Isn't she missing?" Lucia asked, and Lily kept quiet.

'They said, she travelled, but I'm beginning to doubt if it's true.' Lily said inwardly and faced Lucia properly.

"And what if she is? Do you have any idea where she could be?" Lily said, trying to look calm.

"So she is missing?"

Lily hesitated, "Yes."

"Good." Lucia said and took the glass of orange juice beside Lily and poured it all on her, making Sally who has been trying to go unnoticed gasp.

Lucia chuckled before turning around, "Let's go girls!" She said and Maeve and Jodie nodded, before following after her.

"Sorry." Sally said, but only got ignored as Lily ran to the bathroom in sobs.

She sighed, as she closed her Math book, glad the juice hadn't touched it. She was heading to class.

This was an area in the school made for Tyler, Evan and Jordan. They were the only three allowed to stay there, which they were currently doing.

"Tyler," Evan called, "We got you staring at Lily in class today."

Tyler turned to him sharply, "So?" He asked, and Evan and Jordan exchanged glances.

"So?" Jordan repeated, "If you like her, why did you agree with Lucia…"

"I don't like her!" Tyler interrupted cutting him short.

"Then why were you staring at her?!" Evan asked, and Tyler frowned.

"It's none of you both fvcking business. Gosh!" He replied and angrily got up, before walking out.

On his way back, he happened to bump into Lily who only looked at him scornfully before walking away, he stood rooted on the same spot for a while, before he continued walking away.
