Chapter 61
Zain was working in his lavish office when a box of sweets was delivered into his office.
He asked his P.A., about this.
"Sir, one of the guards is blessed with a daughter after seven years of his marriage. So in its celebration, he distributed sweets and sent a special box for you." She informed with a clear smile.
"Call him here." Zain wanted to meet him.
The guard soon came. Happiness radiated from him.
"Congratulations, Babar. I am so happy to hear the news." Zain congratulated him.
"Thank you, sir. It's all the blessing of Allah. My wife and I had lost hope. But Allah showed his mercy. My daughter is very beautiful." The guard was overwhelmed. Tears sprung from his eyes.
Something came into Zain too. "Can I see her picture?" he asked the guard. He wanted to see the baby.
The guard happily obliged and showed Zain the picture of his newborn daughter.
Zain was in awe while watching the picture. He felt moisture in his eyes.
Would he have a daughter too?
"May Allah also bless you with a beautiful daughter, Sir." The guard gave him a prayer.
"Ameen, Babar Ameen. And if this happens, I will distribute sweets in the whole city." He expressed the extent of his happiness.
Zain gave a cheque to the guard to buy things for his daughter. It was a heavy amount for a guard.
Zain gave him two months of paid leave. According to him, he should be with his daughter right now.
Zain's whole day in the office was spent with thoughts of his coming baby.
He does not know how will pass the rest of the months.
When he returned home the discussion about the baby was going on.
Burhan had brought a cute baby girl frock. He was displaying it to everyone.
"Bhai, see is not it pretty?" Burhan was smiling with full teeth.
Zain, like Ayzel, already fell in love with the frock.
"Let me clear Burhan. You have to wait for one or two years more. Because we are having a baby boy." Aliya said confidently.
"How can you say that? Nobody can say it before the birth of the baby." Zain did not agree with her.
"Because for the last four generations, Skinders have had boys as their firstborn. The examples of your grandfather, your father, and then you and Burhan are in front of everyone." Aliya was not losing her claim.
"But this time history will change," Zain said kissing Ayzel's hand. "I will have a daughter InshaAllah." Zain was determined too.
Ayzel and Burhan were watching the argument with great interest.
"It does not matter whether it's a girl or a boy. The most important thing is the health and life of mother and baby." Asma chimed in.
"May Allah give us a prosperous and healthy baby with a long life. And the shadow of the parents will always stay over the baby." Asma prayed.
Everyone said Ameen in synchronization.
"But we will still have a daughter," Zain muttered into Ayzel's ear.
As his daily night routine, he was combing Ayzel's hair. Now he had learned to make braids as well.
"MashaAllah my husband is learning very fast. How blessed I am" Ayzel complimented him.
"Well, Mama bear, this blessing is only for a short time. I am learning all this for my daughter. Once she will come into this world, I will keep her to myself all the time." He said dreamingly.
"Awwww...and what about me? Will I be kicked out of the picture?" Ayzel pouted.
"What about you? You will work in the kitchen. As my princess will be needing tasty and healthy foods." Zain said nonchalantly.
"Well then learn to cook as well, for your daughter." Ayzel folded her arms on her chest.
Zain chuckled. He was sitting on the bed and Azyel was standing in front of him. He pulled her toward him softly.
"Look, baby your mama is already jealous of you and me." He talked to her Belly. Ayzel was laughing.
"Come on Papa Bear, baby is too small to hear you, currently." She was laughing at his cuteness.
"Papa loves you more, princess. Remember it." He again spoke to her belly and then hugged her from the sitting position.
When they were lying on the bed, Ayzel initiated the talk.
"Zain, I was quite nervous when Dadi was showing her persistence for the baby boy. I thought you also wanted a baby boy first." She said to him.
"But when you showed your love for daughter, I was on cloud nine. I want a daughter too. You know in my childhood, I had some small wishes and dreams, that could not come true. But now my daughter will fulfill these dreams. And I will live those dreams with her." Ayzel sniffled in happiness.
"We will go to Disneyland together." Zain reminded her.
She vigorously nodded her head.
"I just can't wait, Ayzel. Today I saw the picture of the guard's daughter. She was so pink and pretty." Zain couldn't describe it properly.
"I just can't wait to hold my precious baby." He said.
"InshaAllah, Zain. InshaAllah. Soon our lives, our rooms, and our house will be filled with our baby's voice and giggles." Azyel told him the happiness of the future.
*********
The mysterious black hoodie man received a call.
"When we are killing that little unborn pup?" the voice on the other side was impatient and angry.
"Patience my dear, patience. It will be too soon to kill it. It won't hurt Skinders that much. Let it grow a bit, so at least Skinders would have something to bury." He put out his evil ideas.
Then he continued. "We have already waited for twenty-two years. Waiting for another four months won't hurt us." The black hoodie man calmed the person on the other side.
In darkness and bloodshed, they were gone so mad that an unborn innocent baby was their new target.
They were planning the death of life who had not drawn his first breath yet.
