"So, do you know where my brother is, Mr. Lexton?"

Lexton really didn't expect Aurora to ask him such a clear question.

Her question pierced the very core of Lexton's heart, as he almost unconsciously stopped their vehicle. Too shocked, when the jolts and stomps seemed to hit him hard.

'How should I answer you, Aurora?' Lexton asked himself.

Thankfully, the corner of his eye caught sight of their destination.

Stalling for time, Lexton focused on switching lanes. For he had to pull over, to gain access before turning into the place they were headed for that afternoon.

Knowing that Lexton was now slowing down, Aurora simply looked out the window.

For a moment, she took in the view outside, which was now dominated by skyscrapers that were probably more than fifty stories tall.

"Are we almost there?" Aurora opened her voice again, occasionally looking back at Lexton who still seemed to be in his original position.

The girl seemed to have forgotten about her question last time, even though Lexton had yet to answer.

The Alpha cleared his throat softly.

"Our first destination is in that building up ahead, Aurora," the man informed her.

Glancing in the rear view mirror, Lexton could see one of his men's cars a few meters back. Oliv and several other fighters had been following the car driven by Lexton, standing guard to provide security for the two VVIPs of the organization.

"Ah, really? We're almost there!" Aurora exclaimed happily, looking so ready to start her first date with the Alpha.

She didn't know exactly what they were going to do. But as long as it was with Lexton, then Aurora was sure she would be fine.

"Are you that happy already?" Lexton felt a little relieved, now that he could change the subject.

The man never really intended to lie, and right now he really didn't have an answer to Aurora's question.

Lexton should buy some time, if Aurora didn't mind delaying receiving an answer to her question.

Turning to enter one of the courtyards of the tall building, Lexton deftly found a parking slot. One of his men's cars was standing guard from a distance, trying not to arouse suspicion from any party.

Parking the car in its spot, Lexton turned to check Aurora's current whereabouts.

Moving reflexively to unbuckle his girlfriend's seatbelt, Lexton flashed a faint smile.

"Since I didn't have breakfast earlier, let's start this date with a good meal," Lexton said.

Aurora nodded vigorously, blushing briefly when Lexton stole a peck on her cheek in a lightning-fast motion.

Her seatbelt had already been undone, and now Lexton was taking his own off.

"Are we going to the restaurant, Mr. Lexton?" asked Aurora impatiently.

Still smiling, Lexton nodded his head.

"You're going to love every single thing they serve," Lexton said this time. The Alpha's words simply made Aurora's mouth water, so impatient was she with what awaited them inside.

"Shall we get off now?" asked Lexton again.

Aurora moved to open the car door, followed by Lexton getting up from his seat.

Circling the front of the car, Lexton approached and unceremoniously grasped Aurora's hand tightly.

The Alpha scanned the cars of his men parked nearby, signaling with his sharp eyes that they were fine.

Surveying the surroundings, the Alpha concluded that the situation around them was safe and under control.

Swinging into step with Lexton holding her hand tightly, Aurora couldn't help but curve a smile.

The building they entered turned out to be one of the best hotels in the city, and Lexton seemed to be familiar with the place.

"It's a hotel," Aurora murmured with her head up, looking at the top followed by an admiring glance at the seemingly luxurious interior.

"You're right, darling," Lexton replied. The man led Aurora to the elevator, queuing up for a moment to wait for the metal box to open before him.

"Judging by the interior, this hotel is no joke, Mr. Lexton," Aurora said again. The girl was still admiring the place where she stood now, as Lexton only smiled at the corner of his lips.

"Wait until you get to where we're going," Lexton said. "You'll be amazed, with knees that might just buckle."

Aurora was just about to reply to her lover's words, but the clinking of the elevator had already been heard.

"Come on, Aurora," invited Lexton. "You must be getting impatient."

Motioning for the Alpha to get into the elevator, Aurora watched as Lexton's fingers pressed 64 on the door panel.

It took a few minutes to get the pair up to the floor they were going to, until Aurora and Lexton arrived at a restaurant famous for its waiting list.

But since Lexton was one of those men with unbelievable power, making a reservation at this restaurant wasn't difficult for him.

Lexton's words had turned out to be true, as Aurora couldn't stop giggling. The elevator took them to the rooftop, where the restaurant was located.

Two waitresses greeted them just as Lexton and Aurora stepped out of the elevator, asking if they had made a reservation or not.

Pulling out his phone from his pants pocket, Lexton paused to show his gold electronic card. A card that signaled that the man had unlimited access, and of course, to a special place.

The wind blew breezily on the top floor of the hotel, again sending Aurora's hair flying in the direction of the wind.

Aurora's steps weakened, as she tightened her hold on the Alpha. Moving closer, Aurora even wrapped another hand around Lexton's sturdy arm.

"Are you okay, Aurora?" Lexton whispered now.

Aurora could be heard inhaling slowly, slowing her pace slightly now that her heart was racing.

"You're right, sir," she whispered. "This feels very high, and indeed my knees are shaking now."

The two waitresses walked a few steps ahead of Lexton and Aurora, leading the couple into one of their private rooms.

Lexton noticed how Aurora's face began to look anxious, as the floor they were on now was only made of wood.

Lexton's guess turned out to be entirely correct, as Aurora had something in common with Gama. Both brothers were nervous about heights.

The further they went, the harder it was for Aurora to drag her feet.

The wind was getting stronger, as it now felt like the sky was about to collapse above her head.

Slowly halting her steps, Aurora seemed to be struggling to catch her breath. Lexton simply turned around, finding his girlfriend looking more than a little worried.

"Are you okay, Aurora?" Lexton repeated, cutting the distance between himself and her.

Waving a hand in the air, Aurora nodded slowly.

"I'm fine," she half-lied. "Can you walk slower?"

Lexton didn't answer, instead the man was already moving to carry Aurora again just like this morning.

Paying no heed to the several pairs of eyes that were fixed on them, Lexton smiled broadly as he found Aurora wearing a surprised face now.

"Mr. Lex, what are you--"

"I'm sorry I brought you here, Baby Girl," Lexton whispered softly. "I figured you might be like Gama, who can't stand heights."

Aurora's eyes darted to Lexton's bead, waiting for further explanation.

"But trust me you won't regret this, after all I now have a reason to carry you again."

Lexton was already swinging his stride wide, as if there was no one else but them on the hotel rooftop.

Aurora blushed as she buried her face in Lexton's chest, far too shy to be the center of attention like this.

But who cares, because the others are just contractors while the world belongs to them.
