Lexton opened his eyes first that morning. The breathing of Aurora, who was still in his arms, sounded very soft as Lexton blinked a few times.

Adjusting his eyeballs to the light that was now creeping into his large apartment, Lexton realized that morning had returned.

"Good morning, my baby girl," Lexton whispered right into Aurora's ear, gently brushing back the girl's loose hair.

The fruity scent still wafted from there, and Lexton took the opportunity to inhale it deeply.

Aurora squirmed. Her body crumpled, just as she regained consciousness.

She felt the friction between her skin and the Alpha's, and she couldn't help but arch a smile.

Because this morning, she was in a very comfortable embrace.

"So this is what it's like to have a lover," Aurora muttered absentmindedly, still not quite managing to gather herself together.

She didn't realize that Lexton had opened his eyes first, and he had certainly heard what Aurora had just whispered.

"Of course, darling," Lexton replied with amusement. "You're still beautiful even if you've just woken up from a long sleep."

Aurora gave a small gasp. Lexton's voice managed to make her life collect itself with lightning speed, and the girl raised her head slowly.

Lexton's broad chest on which she had been leaning all night must have been numb, though Lexton seemed to be fine with it.

"Are you awake, Mr. Lexton?" whispered Aurora softly.

"Just now, Aurora," Lexton said, leaning closer. "How about a good morning peck?"

Aurora didn't have time to think about it, but Lexton had already planted a peck on her pink lips. It was short and quick, as both of them were still in a newly awakened state.

Aurora smiled faintly, trying to get up from her position as she suddenly winced softly.

"Are you alright?" Lexton had already gotten up first, bending down to check on Aurora who seemed to be in a bit of pain. "Are you sick?!"

Aurora had yet to make a sound. Her body was half-sitting on the large bed, trying to find the source of the aches and pains that had hit her mercilessly this morning.

The woman's head twitched, with her eyes blinking a few times.

"Are you okay, Aurora?" Lexton repeated. It didn't feel right when she was in pain, as this was the first time Lexton had faced a sick woman in their morning.

Grimacing softly, Aurora shook her head.

"I'm fine, Mr. Lexton," she replied. "My body feels a bit broken, but it's all right."

Lexton noticed how Aurora was now struggling to rise from her position. Attempting to sit up straight now, Aurora threw a smile at Lexton.

Who was now not only her guardian, but also her lover.

Uncovering the large, soft blanket that had been covering their bodies all night, Aurora was taken aback when her bead stared at the bloodstains on the sheet.

Along with Lexton who was now also silent and staring in the same direction, both Aurora and Lexton had not yet opened their voices.

Both were silent, lost in their own thoughts. Aurora who felt embarrassed to death, while Lexton who felt proud to the core.

"Aurora."

Lexton approached to hug his beloved from behind, covering Aurora's flawless body with one tight embrace.

Aurora was stunned.

"I love you," Lexton whispered softly. It was heartfelt, and full of meaning.

The spot on their bed is a silent witness to their relationship, which has now moved on.

Lexton didn't know if Aurora would stick to her words about not regretting what they had gone through last night.

But in his heart, the Alpha truly hoped that this relationship would work out in the future.

Aurora's hand moved to stroke Lexton's sturdy arm, as if to tell him that he was indeed alright.

"I'm sorry Mireli isn't here," Lexton whispered again. "I'm sorry for putting you through something like this, but you can count on me for everything. Tell me what I can do for you?"

Aurora smiled faintly, suddenly remembering that perhaps things would have been easier if Mireli had been there.

At least the head chef would have helped her as a fellow woman, though Aurora wasn't sure if Mireli would have stood by her side for support.

It could be that the middle-aged woman was swearing at her instead, since Mireli had already told and warned about the mansion's curse to Aurora the other day.

A curse that Aurora did not heed at all, as she was still desperate to cross over to Lexton's world. Not only that, Aurora also had the courage to fall in love with that man. The man who had quite a few tattoos on his body.

"I'm okay," Aurora replied in a low tone. "I've never been through this before, but I'll be fine, Mr. Lexton."

The Alpha buried her head in the crook of her lover's neck, as if still in disbelief despite Aurora's repeated assurances that she was fine.

"I'll help you get ready," Lexton said again.

Not waiting for an answer or consent from Aurora, the dashing man simply moved to pull Aurora's petite body into his arms.

Aurora almost screamed, but thankfully she managed to hold it in before the sound echoed throughout the room.

Lexton easily stood up, with Aurora's body cradled in the front of his body bridal style.

"Master, I'm on my own, really!" Aurora exclaimed under her breath. Her hand reflexively curled around Lexton's shoulder, as if it was the natural response she could give.

But it was too late, as Lexton had already started swinging his steps and ignored Aurora's words.

"You'll have to get used to this, Aurora," Lexton said then. "I'll get used to it, too, to the scent of your body and the fact that you should always be by my side."

Aurora fell silent, looking intently through her eyeballs at the side of Lexton's face with a firmly chiseled jaw.

If he wasn't real, then Lexton was probably the best sculpture ever created on this earth.

"I'm just awkward," Aurora tried to defend herself. There was still a rumbling in her chest, because everything had happened so fast.

Lexton chuckled, just as he pushed open the slightly ajar bathroom door with one foot.

"Put me down now, Mr. Lexton," Aurora pleaded.

But again Lexton didn't listen to her request, as he continued to walk towards the bathtub. Lowering Aurora slowly, the man turned on the faucet to run warm water into the tub.

Crouching down outside the bathtub, Lexton had a smirk on the corner of his lips.

"You want me to join you in there, Baby?" asked Lexton in a very seductive, sensual tone.

Aurora tried to cover her now half-naked body, while on the other hand she also tried not to notice how Lexton's body looked displayed in front of her.

The man's long legs looked strong, even though a pair of boxers from a well-known brand had covered the part that needed to be covered.

"No! There's no need!" Aurora quickly denied. "You can come out now, I'll clean up first."

Lexton widened his grin, so amused by how mischievous Aurora looked.

"Are you sure?"

Aurora's breath caught, as she almost pulled Lexton to join her in the bathtub. But it didn't seem like the right choice, and thankfully Aurora was able to restrain herself well.

"Wait for me outside, Mr. Lexton," Aurora said. "I'll be ready soon."

Lexton nodded faintly, feigning a disappointed look for Aurora. But then the man got up, intending to walk away.

Letting out a smile as he closed the bathroom door, Lexton couldn't help but let it spread.

Turning to head towards the fridge, the Alpha pulled out a cold can of beer from inside. Attempting to quell the demons that had been stirring, hoping that this can of beer would neutralize the pounding heartbeat in his heart.

Pulling out a chair to sit on, Lexton's fingers opened the can with a single try. His mind was already wandering, centered on one subject that had been occupying his mind lately.

Aurora was the first woman to give her honor to the Alpha. There had never been such a special woman in Lexton's life, and it made him feel something very different.

"The fact that you are now second in my life, brings many smiles, Aurora," the man murmured softly.

Downing the beer in several gulps, Lexton now gripped the can tightly.

"I hope you survive, even when you find out who I really am later."
