Chapter 27 Chapter twenty seven
To Lima, her was life perfect, she had everything she ever wished for. Money, powers both physically and spiritually, her love life is going perfectly. Anywhere she went, people always fell for her looks. Her love for Matty grew that they were partially inseparable. People Nicknamed “the power couple”.
The online pressure increased, urging them to get married. Matty didn't like the idea because he didn't want her to think he married her for money. They both ran the company together but she kept the highest share.
One day on their way back from the cinema together, he proposed to her in the middle of the street. Immediately, they were surrounded by the paparazzi, everyone urging her to say yes. But only her knew the truth.
“I'm sorry Matty, we can't do this” she said her eyes red with tears.
“No baby, it's not what you think. I aren't marrying you because of the company. I don't care about the money, I love you lima, my life is incomplete without you, I can't love another woman the way i love you” He said earnestly, looking deep into her eyes.
“Yes..” she said softly her heart pounding. “She said yes.!” He shouted excitedly to the flashing camera lights, sweeping her into his arms. Tears flowed uncontrollably from her eyes as she buried her face in his chest.
Few weeks later, they were wedded by his parents as she couldn't provide any of her relatives.
Right from the wedding, she knew she was stepping into serious trouble. His family looked very troublesome and they weren't happy he was getting married to her. It was after the wedding she got to find out he had been betrothed to a lady earlier from another group, a close friend of his family.
Kiara was furious because her fiancee rejected her outrightly on the open street. All because of a bitch everyone claimed to be the reincarnation of snow white. Huh.! They just touched the tail of the tiger. She isn't someone that let go easily of her prey.
Isn't her face the source of attention? Then she's going to teach her how to keep her doll like face to herself.
She traveled to the countryside and arranged for people to kidnap Lima and bring her. But unknown to her, the new “prey” wasn't someone she could mess with.
Lima knew all her plans beforehand but pretended to play along as she was kidnapped and whisked off to the countryside. She was taken to a remote villa and tied up in a room. Although leaving there would have taken just a mere snap of her finger, she decided to teach the bitches a little lession first.
Kaira slowly walked into the room with her fellow accomplices, holding dangerous weapons and smiling meanacingly. They advanced towards her and squatted in her front.
“Look who we have as company. If it isn't Snow White herself” Kaira said mockingly and they laughed loudly, but the side of Lima's lips just curled up lightly, making her look like a real villain.
“So its this face she had been using to seduce men.? Well that is even her business, atleast everyone knows that's what a prostitute does. But daring to snatch my friend fiancee and get married to him.? Tsk tsk tsk he can't eat leftover food” one of the girls mocked.
“What are we waiting for Kaira.?” Lets beat her to a pulp and disfigure this ugly face of hers” the other girl said excitedly.
She shook her head, “that'll be too easy. We'll barb off all her long hair first. Before using the hot iron to mark her face” she said stroking Lima's hair as if petting her.
As she raised the scissors, her hand suddenly froze midair. No matter how she tried to move, her body didn't buldge. Instead, she broke into cold sweat, her face twisted in pain.
“What is going on kaira.? Why are you looking like someone in a trance.?” The first girl asked yanking at her hand. It came off immediately as if it was rubber.
They screamed in horror as blood splashed all over the room like a headless tap. They tried running out of the room, but a gust of chilling wind blew and the door shut firmly. They banged and twisted the handle desperately but it only came off.
As they turned, they saw Lima standing there with a huge grin on her face.
“Get away from me.! If you touch me, my family will kill you” the other girl threatened fearfully. But as she tried to speak again, she felt a sharp pain in her throat and her mouth couldn't form anymore words.
Horrified, she grabbed her neck with her hands. But she started strangulating herself. No matter how she tried to stop, her hands kept tightening on her throat on their own. She soon ran out of oxygen and slumped to the ground.
Seeing her two friends dead, the last girl dropped to her knees and began to beg for her life. “Weren't you being all cocky awhile ago.? Go on and disfigure my face” she mocked offering her face to the girl but she shook her head frightened out of her wits.
“Ow, you can't do it.? Then let me help you.” She said and instantly, a deep gash appeared on her cheek without Lima even lifting a finger. She screamed in pain, but more in horror of the demon in front of her.
Lima turned to leave the room. She sighed in relief thinking she had been spared. But her stomach began to swell rapidly and exploded in a loud bang.
She returned to the city unscathed. Matty had combed the entire city for her although she was only kidnapped for a few hours. He was beginning to suspect his parents because of their nonchalant attitude towards the kidnap.
As she walked into the house, he and his parents were arguing in the living room.
“If you know anything about her whereabouts, please tell me” he pleaded.
“We've told you we know nothing about her disappearance. We warned you about her didn't we.? But she deceived you with her “dolly” face that you couldn't think clearly again. If you ask my opinion, I'll say she has ran away to continue prostituting” his mother mocked and he sighed in frustration.
Listening to all this, she only chuckled a little. His parents have a surprise awaiting them at the countryside.
She gracefully walked in, her heels clicking softly against the tiles. On seeing her, he jumped up like a little boy and ran to hug her tightly as if fearing she'll disappear again.
On seeing her unscathed without even a tousle on her hair, his parents got uneasy and ran out of the villa without telling her a word. “I'm sorry, i couldn't protect you enough” he said guilty. She patted his hair softly “you weren't the cause of this” she consoled him and pulled him for a kiss.
As she predicted, immediately they settled down to have supper, his parents bursted in.
“You witch.! You've killed kaira. I'll kill you today.!” Hos mother screamed and rushed at her, grabbing her hair and twisting it. But she didn't scream or yelp, instead, she smiled like they were just a joke.
He tried dragging his parents away as they attacked her but their grips were too strong. Finally fed up, a gust of wind whipped up without warning and sent them flying distances away from her.
She stood up slowly “you claimed i killed whoever it is. What evidence do you have.? Or did you collude with her to kidnap me perhaps.?” She asked catching them off guard.
Looking at their son's angry face, they became terrified and scampered out of the villa without saying a word.
Two years soon passed in a flash and they didn't still have a child. His parents made life hell for her and people spread rumors that she traded all the children in her womb in exchange of beauty and success.
Initially, she didn't mind but she noticed that Matty loves kids alot. Whenever he sees children, there's always warmth in his eyes. Although he always tell her not to worry about not having kids, she knew she wasn't being fair to him by keeping him and preventing him from getting married to a woman that'll bear kids.
After serious thoughts and sleepless nights, she made up her mind to leave. She transfered all her shares to him and wrote him a letter, urging him to forget about her and get married to a woman that can bear kids.
She returned to hell and Satan made her his trusted assistant. But, one part of her heart liked kids and always wanted one. Realizing life of luxury isn't what she wanted anymore, she resigned and moved to the celestial city.
There, she took kids from their parents and raised them. Teaching them magic and cultivating their powers before they turned eighteen. That was how Emma was brought to her for safekeeping.
