The morning sun rose and the rays flickered into the room and shone brightly into the eyes of Murphy, causing him to wake up from his sleep and get off the bed. He glanced around the place but his wife was nowhere to be found, which he found strange.

Images of last night's dinner and the mysterious figure  flashed back and darkened his emotions as he made his way into the bathroom to prepare for work. Few minutes later he exited the bathroom fully dressed in his faded black suit and trousers.

Murphy  picked up his bag and made his way downstairs and found he remembered how Amelia's family treated him whenever they were having breakfast. Murphy wasn't allowed to eat with them and he always had his meal in the kitchen or the room.

"Why hasn't Amelia called me or come to check on me, ever since I left that night?" Murphy wandered for a few minutes before making his way into the kitchen to have breakfast, and in a few minutes he was on his way to the bus station.

He boarded a public bus that took him straight to the restaurant he worked at. Murphy straightened his suit before walking into the building.

Upon entering the building, the workers began to shoot him hateful glares and showered him with nonstop insults. Murphy buried his head down and walked to his post.

While Murphy was busy with work, a long shadow was casted above him as a lady approached him while cat walking.

"Good morning, Murphy ." The lady known as Emily  greeted with a smile.

Hearing the words of the lady, Murphy  lifted his head and responded. "Good morning." But unlike before, Murphy  didn't have a smile on his face which made Emily  worried a bit.

"Is everything okay?" Emily  inquired with a worrisome look.

"Uhm..yeah, everything is good. Why did you ask?" Murphy  responded, trying his best to hide his saddened expression because he didn't want to worry his best co-worker with his marital issues.

"Are you sure? You are kinda cold and timid today, are you sure everything is okay?" Emily  inquired, feeling worried for her friend.

"Yeah, everything is okay, don't worry. I just have a lot on my mind right now. You know I am trying to secure a promotion in the restaurant as an assistant manager, I just need to put in my best and pray I get the promotion." Murphy  explained with a forced smile.

"If you say you are good then no problem." Emily  smiled in relief. "And you really don't have to be worried about not getting the promotion because you will surely do." She added.

"Thank you, Emily ." Murphy  smiled back before moving his gaze back to the meal he was preparing for customers.

"I am about to head out for breakfast, do you want to come? My treat." Emily  offered with looks of anticipation.

"Oh, sorry. I already ate something back home.

Hearing the words of Murphy , Emily  cheeks flushed.

"Okay, no problem." Emily muttered disheartened. "By the way, the shop owner has finally arrived back from his trip. He should be in his office right now."

"I see. Thanks for the info." Murphy  nodded and Emily  smiled before walking away.

Murphy  resumed his work on his table. After an hour of working, he was finally done. He placed the meals on a tray and began serving the customers.

On his way home he met three boys bullying a girl named Emily who didn't seem to fight back because he was scared.

"Hey punk, watch where you're going?"The fat boy among them said as he pushed Emily  on her chest which made Emily fall to the ground.

"Hey get up girl!" Cody, the slim boy among the group, said as he picked Emily from the floor aggressively.

"Please guys, I just want to go home, please," Emily  pleaded.

"You're weak, where is your energy and sword to fight back?" The fat boy said as he pulled out his sword and lit it up with his energy before giving Emily  an evil smile.

"Don't do this guys" Emily  said shaken in his voice as the boy unleashed the energy from his sword right at him.

The energy light hit Jacob Murphy  hard and threw him away as his body crashed on a car packed along the street.

"Hey assholes!"Murphy said  as he walked to the direction of the teenage bullies.

Murphy who witnessed what had happened made his way to the scene as he approached them the teenage bullies felt he was weak and could also deal with him easily.

"Hey poor boy, show is over, nothing to see here, why don't you take your leave and go back to whatever bar you come from" cody, one of the bullies, said mockingly.

"What, didn't you hear the fuck i just said!, leave before we make you...don't try to be a hero Murphy  needs to learn not to be weak"Cody said as held his sword waiting to strike if Murphy  makes any move.

As Murphy takes a step closer to Cody and his group of bullies.Cody and his guys launch an energy beam light from their sword straight at Murphy .

Murphy  was fast enough to move away from the energy beam before landing a heavy punch on Cody which sent him flying before crashing with a trash bin on the street. The remaining boys kept swinging their sword at Murphy  but he was fast enough to get away from the attack they kept launching at him.

Murphy  unleashed his sword energy to them which hit them hard and fell in the ground before accepting their defeat and running away from Emily and jacob Murphy .

"Are you okay, Emily?"Murphy  said, turning his gaze at Emily before helping get up to his feet.

"Yeah, I am good, thank you for saving me," Emily  said thankfully.

"Yeah it is nothing," Murphy  said boasting.

"How do you learn to fight like that?" Emily said curiously.

"Long story, Go home Emily,"Murphy  said as he walked away from Jacob Murphy .

Murphy  saves his co-worker from a group of bullies before heading to a club to clear his head but meets another encounter.
