Chapter 36 WHY DID YOU KIDNAP ME?
FILIPPA'S POV
My eyes widened in shock due to the sudden stab at the neck.
Instinctively, I kicked the man's hand away from me. I moved back and quickly grabbed the syringe that had been stabbed into my neck and threw it back at the man.
The man quickly caught the syringe. He appeared shocked by how I was able to react despite being injected, but I was too far gone with anger; all I could see were reds.
All I could see was the helpless girl who was chained down by Alpha Henry for almost a decade, unable to do anything and too weak to do anything.
After living a normal life these few days, I don't want to experience being that girl again.
I threw myself at the man, my killing instinct running through my whole system. I wanted to tear him apart and kill him for the actions he had taken. How dare he do this to me?

Before I could process, another man injected my arms from behind. My face whipped to the side, and I quickly grabbed my hand, condescending anger running through me.
“I promise that I won't let you go…” I growled loudly. In the dim night, my eyes turned sharper, and my hand changed into claws, but…
Before I could make a successful change, another person injected my neck again, and before I knew it, I collapsed to the floor, weak to the bone. Unable to lift a finger.
“What have you done to Maia?” Arya screamed and tried to separate from the man she was fighting with, but the next thing I heard was Arya screaming and Arya collapsing to the floor immediately. She fainted.
The man calmly pulled out a syringe from the fainted Ayra.
At this moment, I realized that I'd been injected with a powerful knockout drug three times, but because I'd been injected with a lot of powerful drugs by Alpha Henry, I wasn't knocked out; instead, I only felt weak to the bone.
The only reason Arya is in such a state is because of me.
Seeing Arya's state, I knew she had been included all because of me, and for that reason, I tried to fight hard.
Unfortunately, regardless of what I did, I couldn't lift a finger.
At that moment, I could only feel thankful that I hadn't lost consciousness yet, but what's the point? It's not as if that would save me. Rather, I'll be subjected to a lot of emotional anguish.
The man who had been fighting me bent to my level.
I panicked as his hand made its way to my nose. It's as if he wants to check if I'm still breathing.
“Relax, miss. We won't do anything bad to you.” The man whispered.
Completing his words, he threw the weakened me gently onto his shoulder.
I frowned at his words. He won't hurt me? How do I get assurance after he has injected Ayra and me?
I have many questions to ask him. Who sent him? What did they want to do to me? Why did he hide his scent?
I thought I was low-key. I haven't even interacted with the outside world, so I didn't expect anyone to recognize me, not to mention kidnap me.
Who is behind this? The only person I knew who was targeting me or quite not targeting me was Lorelei. Is she behind this? Arya told me to watch my back earlier; is this related to Lorelei?
The more I thought about this, the more my thoughts kept swirling chaotically out of control.
The man began to walk out of the hostel, each step filled with strength.
As soon as he got to the exit of the hostel, his walking pace changed to running, and with a speed I'd never seen before in the werewolf pack, the man was out of the school.

I furrowed my brows, not understanding what was happening. My heart skipped a beat.
Is it him? Did he know the truth already? Or was it someone else? But I've never been affiliated with these people, except for him.
My heart began to race at the thought; I didn't understand if it was due to anticipation or nervousness. It's probably two.
My eyes were focused as the man ran into the forest within a blink of an eye, still carrying me.
“Master, we're here.” The man who carried me declared the instant we arrived at a stream.
I recognized the stream. This was where I lost my first kiss to Oswald.
Perhaps not my first kiss because I don't know if Wyatt's lips met mine when he saved me from dying.
The thought of it almost made me blush, but I snapped out of it and felt myself freeze when I saw him.
He kidnapped me? Did he recognize me at the party?
Rex nodded indifferently to the man and spread his arms to carry me.
Rex's guard gently placed me on Rex's hand.
Seeing my inquisitive gaze, Rex's lips curled up slightly, and he brushed a strand of slightly wet hair away from my face. “How many?” He asked the guard, his voice cold and domineering.
“Master, three.” Rex's man replied with a bow.
I realized that they were talking about the amount of syringes it takes to knock me out.
An undecipherable glint flashed past Rex's red eyes in that instant. “You can leave.” Rex waved, and within the blink of an eye, the man disappeared and left.
Seeing that it wasn't an enemy that kidnapped me, I relaxed in his arms and stared at him curiously. “Your high… ness, why did you kidnap me?” I whispered amid the stuttering and panting.
Rex hugged me tighter, which made me freeze. I stared at him with bewilderment and curiosity. What was he doing? “You…”
“Filipa. You're alive. It's you, isn't it?” Rex interrupted and hugged me closer as if he wanted to embed me in his body.
His body and voice were shaky, and it made me realize that if I told him I wasn't Filippa, he was going to break further.
The most surprising thing is: how did Rex recognize me after all these years? Didn't he act indifferent to me when he told me Filippa was dead? How? “I…”
“Don't tell me you're not. Only you can control me. No one can control me. When I came closer to you at the party. When my hand makes contact with yours. I…” Before he could complete his words, he broke down, and that made my heart skip a beat.
A trace of warmth seeped into my heart. Even when no one asked for me, he did. When no one recognized me, he did it easily. What did Rex go through?
Not knowing where the power came from, my hands flew to his neck. Or it's related to the drug wearing off.
“Rex,” I whispered in a shaky and weak tone and hugged him tighter.
All my facade broke, and tears began to fall from my eyes. My heart is aching.
Rex bent slightly and sat on the floor, not minding his neat clothes.
He placed me on his lap and wiped my tears gently while rocking me.
I didn't feel uncomfortable in his hand. Never did I. It was just like the first time we met. Soon, my eyes were dry with tears.
“What happened to you? How're you here? Do you need me to take you away from here?” Rex fired all these questions as soon as I stopped crying.
His hands tightened around my hands as if to tell me that once I told him yes, he wouldn't mind taking me away.
“Let her go.” A deep, familiar voice interrupted.
