Wyatt and I stepped into the prison to come across the girl in the white dress she wore when she tried to kill me. Her right leg was chained to the floor, which enabled her to stand up and move around except when she tried to leave.

I scoffed and gently wrapped my hand around Wyatt's waist to show off our relationship. Her face darkened, and she gnashed her teeth in hatred.
“To Wyatt, not you or any other girls are as outstanding as me. Moreover, he's not indebted to you; why should he care about your childish fantasy?” I responded and lifted my chin cockily, using her words to poke her sore point.

Recalling Fay’s words, I couldn't help but shiver slightly. I paused in my steps before staring at Wyatt seriously.
Wyatt paused and turned to me while arching his brows, his reaction clearly asking what was wrong.

Wyatt tucked his hands into his pocket and stared at me with furrowed brows, confusion written in his eyes. “What are you talking about?”
My face reddened in embarrassment, but I honestly replied. “I was told you have ruthless punishments, and an example of one of them is skinning one alive.” I smacked my lips together and stared at my feet while twisting my finger before saying in a tiny voice. “It's just like when you promised to... six feet deep…” My voice trailed lower with each word that spilled past my lips.
Back then, I lied to Wyatt about my identity, and now that we're partners, I wonder if he'll be that cruel or what his punishment will be.
Wyatt's eyes narrowed, and he took an indifferent glance at me before he continued to leave the prison.
