SHE'S PREGNANT AGAIN

SHE'S PREGNANT AGAIN

“A-AUNTIE, do you know about me and Daddy Ramil?” Stephanie asked to her long time nanny.

She can not even look at her straight to her eyes. She is caught in action that makes her to feel ashamed.

“Yes, Senyorita. It’s been long time that I have known about that fact. I guess you were just twenty-one years old that time. But because of what had happened to you or when you were abducted, I promised to myself that I will take to my grave that secret,” she replied.

“But why, Auntie? You remained for almost seven years now. Even I got miscarriage one time and that was more than a year. And now, I’m carrying another lustful fruit. Yeah, Auntie. I’m pregnant again and the father is no other than my step-father. Do you hate me as well, Auntie?”

She retorted in disbelief. Her eyes even grew wider. The nanny that take care of her. Even according to her Mom, she was with them already she’s still in her womb. Meaning, she was old enough to know what’s right and wrong. She was just younger than her mother of five years. Yet, she remained silent. For what reason? What an incredible woman!

But!

As her mind is thinking too hard about what’s may be her reason, she felt an embraced and only to found out that it’s her nanny.

“Because you are my daughter, Sen̈orita. It’s true that you not from my blood but I took care of you since you were just an infant. No mother could bear to witness a lonely child. I’ve seen enough already when your biological Mom tried to let you marry Gonzalo way back then, the grief as you lost your first child.

As per as your Mom, I’ve witnessed a lot of ups and downs since she and your late father. On how she fight the battle of life. I don’t want any of you to suffer. And that reason enough for me to be in neutral position.

But for now, what I can say to you is take care of yourself so that you can protect your baby. That’s a blessing, my child. Do your best not to let your Mom know about your pregnancy until you can not decide what you will do in the future. By the way, she went to Barcelona around five o’clock and by this time maybe your step-father is on his way home. Because he accompanied her.”

From hugging Stephanie from behind, Marielle turned her around and she held her face.

“A-auntie...”  Again, Stephanie stammered as she look up with her Nanny.

“Yes, child. You don’t need to beg me to remain quiet. Just do your part and I’ll do mine. About him, I know that he is doing his best. For now, fix yourself now and I’ll  accompany you to the hospital,” she exclaimed.

They makes her more speechless!

MEANWHILE, after dropping off his wife at the airport, who went to Barcelona, Ramil manoeuvred his way home. But when he passed by a bakery, he stopped and bought some bread. He noticed the ragged child. It looks like he hasn’t eaten in a few days.

“Child, here is the bread. Take it, and you can eat now,” he said as he handed over the bought bread.

He accepted it, but the pitiful appearance was still there. So, he turned back to the bakery and bought coffee again.

“Sorry, kid. I didn’t immediately understand what you meant. Here is the coffee, and there’s a water too,” he said once more as he handed over the hot coffee and a few bottles of mineral water.

Only then he saw the smile on his face.

“You’re not talking?” he asked innocently.

In return, or in order to answer him, he gestured with a big thanks. He even nodded before saying goodbye and left.

“If my child didn’t died that day, he’s nearly two years old already. What a pitiful person he was,” he murmured as he is watching the young boy who is very happy for having a food even it’s just a bread.

But mostly people in their country or in Madrid, the regular breakfast to any of them is bread. Maybe some immigrants eats heavy meals or rice but he and his wife are not.

“Ah, maybe she went to work already. Still, I need to go home and prepare for my own work,” he again said to himself and continue driving.

Again, as he passed to a cake shop, Stephanie’s aura popped up but it seems that she is telling to him to buy something sweet to eat. That is why he stopped the car and got closer to the cake stand.

“Miss, how much is it?”  he asked but immediately pulled out his wallet when he saw the price which covered by the designs.

“Can you add some notes with the design, Miss?” he said.

“Yes, Senyor. That is my job. I will say  something about the price because I know that you will not demands for additional notes if you care about it,” she replied.

He just smiled and took the paper and pen that she handed and writ the notes that he wanted to be written in cake.

“It’s done, Senyor. Here is it. Enjoy your date with your beloved woman,” he heard her say.

“Thank you very much,” he replied as he received it and keep the change of his money and happily went back to his car.

‘I hope you will love it, baby. I miss you so much,’ he murmured as he ignites the engine and made his way home.

BARCELONA, SPAIN

“Are you okay, Senyora? Your complexion says you are not feeling well,” Mrs Fuentebella-Saavedra secretary asked in concerned.

“Oh, thank you for asking. But I’m alright. It’s just a little dizziness caused by the travel. So, are you ready for our escapades today?” she replied as she tried herself to fake smile.

But no one can understand and know herself except her. The truth is she’s feeling unsecured. If she will define it by her own, that feelings started when she stepped out of their home in Madrid.

“Yes, Attorney. Let’s go.” She smiled and lead her the way to their destination that day or in Barcelona Court.

‘Father God in heaven, please protect and guide us for these important matter. I’m totally not feeling well but I can set aside my own for the sake of those people who are waiting for the result.’ She silently prayed.

But even she’s inside the court! The more she defended her client,  the more she feel uneasy. For a lawyer like her, she did her best to win the trial. And her team succeeded!

But!

As they go back to the hotel where their teams checked-in, she opened her phone and she’s totally shocked on what she sees!
