“DO you have to do this to me? Do you hate me that much?”

Stephanie asked bitterly when she found out that her two siblings were the mastermind of the so-called kidnapping. No matter how hard she tried to analyse the situation but she still could not find a way to understand it. They are her half-sisters, by the way. According to her mother, they were his father’s daughters too to his Spanish woman before he met her after the divorce. But among them, she is the only one who’s carrying Fuentebella. While the two are using Gomez or the surname of their mother.

“Shut up your goddamn mouth! You don’t know how I wish for you to disappear from my sight for the rest of my life!” Instead of explaining what was happening, she hit her sister as hard as she could. She grabbed her long hair without a warning and kicked her, too.

Hatred was shown all over Laurice’s face. Her eyes show it as well. But she doesn’t care, by the way. She did everything she could to get the attention of Bryce Luther. But still, her sister has it.

“Did you surrender yourself to him already? Oh, how I am going to call you, by the way? Slt? Oh, that’s so rude. That’s why let’s change it with the lighter words. You are a b! Tch and an l! Tch! Attention seeker as well! Damn you, wrench!” Even Laura cursed her sister to death.

UPON hearing what her siblings say, she became speechless. It seems that she focuses too much on her job that she didn’t notice how they want her to vanish. She knew that they were wild, disdainful, and snobbish to her. Even they are not considering her as their sister. But it’s hurt to hear personally from them that they are wishing her to die.

“I don’t what to say, Laurice and Laura. If you want me to die or to stop the wedding that our father is planning, kill me now and bury me without anyone’s knowledge. So, just let me die painlessly.”

‘Father God in heaven, I know that it’s useless to argue with them. Is this my punishment for betraying my own mother? Is losing my child not enough? Now, my own half-sisters are planning to vanish me.  Would anyone believe if I told them the truth? Please forgive them that they are blinded by their anger and jealousy toward me. If it’s your will that I’ll lose my life on their own hands, I will gleefully accept it.’

She closed her eyes and said those words in her mind. She needs to accept the fact that she will soon join their father in the kingdom of God. And yes, Laura and Laurice are her half-sisters.

But!

A few minutes have passed already, but she didn’t feel any harm that may lead her to death.

“WHAT’S the meaning of this, Miss Laura and Miss Laurice? Who are those men who are trying to disdain her?!”

A cold, familiar, and authoritative voice was heard. She then opened her eyes, but she was more surprised when she confirmed that the voice was owned by the person and the reason that her sisters were bullying her to death.

“Well, it seems that you are here to save your future bride, Mr Mondragon.”

“Sister, say something too. Your knight in shining armour is here for you. Oh, are you not going to defend us?”

Instead of answering him, they still said those irritating and insulting words.

“Once and for all, I will say this to both of you. If you can’t treat her as your family, then just leave her alone---”

“Wow! Mr Mondragon, I know the reason why you are picking her up. I’m not going to say sorry for what I will say because it’s out of your business what we will do to that ambitious pilates. I’ll return to you your word, stay away from this personal matter.”

Laura delinquently interrupted him in talking, which makes him more furious. So, instead of dealing with things smoothly, he raised his hand. His men are everywhere, wherever he is like at that moment. And as he gave the signal, they instantly appeared, and before those idits can predict what he was planning. They were all captured.

“Well, I don’t have time to argue with people like you! Oh, right. We are not a policeman to arrest you but I’ll send you to the headquarters and they will handle you.” He is disgusted after all.

AFTER SOMETIMES

“Why did you do that?”

“What do you mean?”

In disbelief that he answered her with another question. But since that, she’s the one who is indebted to him but she didn’t take it deep to her heart.

“I know that you know what I’m asking, Mr Mondragon. My sisters were correct when they said that it was a personal matter. But you still pursued your interruption. That’s why I’m going to ask again. Why did you do it?” she asked as she drew herself closer to the car door.

Whether she will admit it or not, she feels comfortable beside him. She’s scared of what he might do. There are a lot of scary rumours about him. So she can’t blame herself if she’s scared.

“MISS Fuentebella, relax. I know that you are scared of me, but I can’t blame you if you feel that way. I’ll answer your question too. I’m on my way to the manager’s office when I heard some noises on that part. Instead of going up to the office, I just silently turned my car, and I accidentally overheard what’s your sisters said. And for you to stop worrying, it’s not what you think. I’m doing it because of my friend. So don’t worry too much,” he explained very well.

Well, it’s up to her by the way if she will believe it or not. It’s just a white lie at all. Because the truth is, there are some of his men who are watching her in every move from a distance. His anger toward the sisters of the woman of his best friend made him interfere with family matters.

And yes, it is!

Bryce Luther Mondragon and Ramil Saavedra are best of friends. He is an acquaintance of his twin brother in Paris. A businessman likes him. Well, they just did what’s will benefit them both. For him, he wants to drive away from his life those who are nuisance to him. And for his friend, Ramil, to divert the attention of his wife!

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say, Mr Mondragon. As you can see, I’m still on my office uniform. It only means that I’m on my way to going home. But by the way, thank you for your efforts. I’m just hoping that you didn’t do it because I’m so much sure that they will become worse to me when we are all home.”

She again let go of a deep sigh. Because she really cannot ease her mind right at the moment. It’s been a while since she saw them, but right at the moment, she’s still anxious because of nervousness. She is living with her mother and step-father while the two are the same with theirs.

‘He said that he is just doing for someone. Who may be that person who’s watching me?

“Let’s drop the formality. Just call me my name, Bryce Luther, and I’ll do the same to you. About your family issue, forget it for a while. Just calm yourself up and let’s go to my place. Don’t worry because I will not harm you. I just wanted you to relax before going back to your home.”

“B-but---”

“I know what you are fearing, Miss Fuentebella. Like what I’ve said a while ago, be at ease. Because. And I will not ask you not to think that way because I want you to find out the truth about that. I just wanted to help you.”

Well, if others are doing that to their love ones and friends, he is not that type of person. He has is own woman. And taking the woman beside her is not hard but like what he had said, Stephanie Fuentebella is just for his friend, Ramil Saavedra.

She’s tired and sleepy. That’s the reason why even though she’s scared of her saviour, she rested her head on the headboard of the soft chair inside the car. And that’s the last thing that she remembers.

UPON, seeing the woman beside him sleeping peacefully, he faces his bodyguard.

“Go and bring Attorney Saavedra to my office, Paolo. Tell him that it’s urgent. After that, you can go to the police headquarters and settle the things about those b! Itches,” he said.

“Yes, boss. But where will you take Miss Fuentebella? I mean, are you going to let her sleep in your office too or at the mansion?”

He wanted to laugh about his bodyguard’s statements. But even though he is the boss, he doesn’t want to offend his subordinate. So he answered in his normal voice.

“Just tell the maid to prepare the guest room for her. Let her rest and treat her very well. You know what’s the next step.”

He is talking to his bodyguard but his eyes lays on the woman once again. A beauty that can mesmerize anyone.

“Okay, boss.” Paolo nodded as he instructed his companion, who was driving.

In Bryce Luther’s mind, he will punish those who harmed the beloved woman of his best friend and company lawyer and, most of all, his personal lawyer.

‘I can’t blame him for loving and having an affair to this woman. She has a perfect personal appearance. Even her curves as well,’ he says in his mind.

“WHERE are you going, honey? We just came from work, but you are leaving again,” Mrs Fuentebella-Saavedra asked her husband, who is planning to go out.

“I’m sorry, Honey. But Mondragon called me to rush over to his office. I guess he has very important to do,” he answered as he kissed her lips.

‘Damn you, old woman! Just go away from my sight. Because I might kill you personally if something gonna happen to my beloved sweet Stephanie,’ he says his mind.

“Then you need to hurry, Honey. Did you have your mobile phone? Your wallet?” she asked once again.

“Yes, honey. I put it in the bag that I’m using every day. Mr Mondragon will not let his men pick me up if there’s no emergency. I’m going now, honey. I’ll be back layer tonight. So don’t wait for me.”

He wore a fake smile as he kissed her quickly on her lips just to cover up his irritation toward her. He even didn’t wait for her to answer.

‘Fck!’ He murmured as he walked toward the car of his friend with his men who are waiting for him.

Mrs Fuentebella-Saavedra was left behind!

But, she is also thinking!

She is a lawyer as well!

‘Someday, somehow, I will be able to know what’s happening,’ she blabbered as she watched direction that her husband tracked.
