Chapter 76
Chapter 76
Persephone’s POV
I did not know what I was supposed to feel when kissing this beautiful, beautiful man but I knew one thing that even though he was a cold blooded creature, there was no comparison to the heat that he was right now producing between us. If the water of the hot spring had not been magical then probably everything would be sizzling right now.
“It is sizzling right now, since you have managed to put fire to the water,” said Tak in a very calm voice as my eyes widened in shock.
“Oh! Oh dear! Oh dear…” I started panicking as I saw that he was telling the truth, I had actually managed to put fire on the water and there was smoke around all of us. The fire was burning slowly almost as if there was a thin layer of oil on top of water and the fire was consuming that.
“Don’t panick…the fire won’t spread,” said Tak as I found that the fire was slowing down in its intensity and then gradually it was completely gone and was burning just around the both of us.
“How did you do that?” I asked in amazement as I moved my body around in the water. The water was not warm, it was freezing cold and I yelped at the sensation as I swam closer to Tak again and he smiled at me and then said,” Basic rules of thermodynamics. If you have heated up something rapidly, then all you need to do is cool it considerably so that there is no more problem with the temperature and I know that you have a certain proclivity for setting things on fire. The night that you were with all of us, I tried keeping your temperature down because the sheet kept catching fire every single time you came.”
“WHAT?” I shouted in shock. But then I continued,” But I was sleeping on normal sheets only…it was…not scorched. There were no burn marks…nothing smelled burnt as well..”
“That is because I changed the sheets and the dragon disposed of everything that you were wearing and Wilhelm brought in new bedding and Bernard cleaned the room and let go off the charred smell.”
I was stunned at this revelation.
Never even I my wildest dreams had I ever considered that these guys might be even thinking of doing housekeeping for my sake.
“AWWWWWWW!” I said as I put my arms around his neck and pulled him even closer.
“That was really creepy,” said Tak as he nuzzled against me and I could see that he had gills on the side of his throat which were almost skin colour and it looked a bit strange but on him it looked absolutely stunning. I had never seen a ma more comfortable with his feminine beauty like Takumi.
Then he suddenly said,” I will tell you a story…story of the first siren who spoke with a man…wanna hear that?”
I nodded.
His feet moved in a different direction than he wanted to go. The haunting melody entwined around his body, leading him to her. He thought it must be a her. For who could possess such an ethereal voice? The song kept going, high then low. Almost like the tides rising and falling. Mixed in was the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. The sea caressing the beach in a way that brought a moan from his lips.
As he crested a hill, she was there, sitting on a rock jutting out of the water under the moonlight. Her silver hair blew in the wind, catching the shimmer of the dark sea and the light of the moon. He had never seen such beauty before. In the dark recess of his mind, he remembered the legends of the sirens and how they would lure sailors to their deaths. But he chased these thoughts away. For surely a woman of such allure could not do something so wicked.
The closer he got, the stronger her pull was. Her song was mournful, and her green eyes seemed filled with tears. She sang of how lonely she was, how she needed someone to fill the longing within her. He wanted to be that someone.
He pushed his hair out of his face as he stepped into the icy waves. She sang and pleaded to him to take off his clothes. She needed to feel his strong body next to her. He obliged and shed his furs, boots, and trousers. Though he shivered, she told him to make haste. He was now waist deep in the waves and didn't remember getting that far. She sang to him to not be discouraged. It wasn't far to go.
When he was chest deep, her song stopped abruptly and he heard a splash. He came to his senses as fear gripped his body. He was naked and cold in the Northern Sea. He turned back to land and saw her inches from him.
Her eyes still shimmered with what he thought were tears, but her features seemed to say something else. He noticed her sensual mouth and his eyes gazed over her ample breasts, unadorned except for her silver hair clinging to her wet skin. She touched his arms and started to sing again, chasing his growing fear away.
Her song told him not to be afraid, for it was their destiny to be together. She was unable to live without him, and only he could free her. She wound her arms around his neck and brought her lips to meet his. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close as she kissed him like he was the air she needed to breathe.
With a jolt he was brought under the waves and dragged underwater by her, still kissing her. He didn't care, as long as he was in her arms. Down and down they went, deeper and deeper into the dark fathoms. Somehow she was breathing air into his lungs. As they hit the bottom, she let go of his mouth and smiled at him. She held him down and he thought he saw a tail split in two.
She grabbed his member and squeezed, bringing a gasp to his throat and filling his lungs with water. He was drowning. He struggled and she kissed him again while impaling herself onto him. He screamed and couldn't seem to get free of her body. She rode him while giving him just enough oxygen to not drown. Still he screamed and struggled. The fear was intoxicating for her, and it terrified him.
The bottom of the ocean was dark and the only light was her. Her eyes pierced his very soul. She kissed him again as she reached her climax, and forced his. He screamed one more time and water rushed into his lungs. The last thing he saw were her green eyes and haunting smile.
“That was a fucking horror story,” I said.
“And that is a waring for you to never trust one of us,” he said as he suddenly pulled me down the water as I drowned along with him in shock.
