Chapter 61

Chapter 61
Persephone’s POV

The vessel that needed to be used in the potion making was supposed to be of silver. And I only had glass containers.
“There are silver containers in the Potions lab, but they have to be taken out with special permission. Since sometimes they are stolen by students and…” Alizeh started and I sighed.
“Yeah well I don’t have the time for that. I need to do it now. It has to be done on the night of the Blood moon and I only have a few hours in my hand,” I groaned as I smacked my head. Why the fuck was getting poisoned every single time that everything that I needed to do was getting delayed. I did not know why but I had a feeling that the bitch Lydia was probably behind this. I mean, I should not be obsessing about bitches like this but after what had happened last night I doubt that I would not need to deal with her. The next time something happened I needed to make an example out of her.
“What is this spell that you are actually making? What is this that needs to be made on the Blood Moon?” asked Nyra as she stared at the open grimoire. But as expected she could not see anything at all and pouted.
“It is not something you should ever try, siren,” said Mara with a glare and then said,” I know that you probably think that snooping into a witch’s grimoire is a good idea but it is not.”
“She is not exactly a witch, is she?” Nyra asked and I nodded.
“I am not exactly your run of the mill witch, so you can say so but I am going to be the next High Priestess of the Light witches coven so I will have to practise some things or the other and this is a reveal spell.”
“Reveal spell for what?” Alizeh asked and I glared at all of them.
“All of you are Nosy Nancies but none of you are of any use. How the fuck am I supposed to finish the spell if I don’t get the sliver crucible?” I asked and then Nyra said,” I can bring you that but what are you going to give in return?”
“What is it that you want?” I asked as I cocked my head towards my best friend and she grinned.
“There is going to be a wolf party tonight in the woods for the blood moon, they have these weird cult like celebrations stuff but the wolf females were telling me that they could party so hard that they could start shit at even a graveyard. So I want you to come with all of us.”
“Me?” asked Alizeh with a look of shock on her face.
“Yeah, why not, bitch?” asked Anora and I rolled my eyes at the stupidity.
“Because she is a bunny and there will be apex predators and shifters and wolves at the party and she might get chased by them. That is what basic instinct says,” I said with a drawl and both the demons laughed and Anora said,” Bitch we are the apex predators at any particular party. So let’s go and enjoy. Isn’t it weird to think that just because she shifts into a rabbit she can’t enjoy?”
“Well if you put it that way,” I shrugged and I could see that Alizeh was excited but she wasn’t entirely sure and I said,” I would like to see anyone touching her or bullying her. Because I am already quite angry about the fact that I was in a gangbang and it wasn’t even a bang. And I had to be poisoned to get close to men…so…yeah…let someone try something tonight.”
“Alright, then that’s decided,” said Nyra as she clapped her hands once and then said,” I will bring the crucible as soon as I can and you can then cook whatever shit you wish to cook.”
Before I could say yes, she was gone.
“How did you get to know about the party?” I asked them as they all rolled their eyes and said,” It is literally the only thing that everyone has been speaking today at school. And since we are demons and a novelty that is why we have been especially invited.”
“If they knew who I am I doubt I would be called to party,” said Mara and I smiled. She was yet to disclose exactly what she was but I could feel a swirl of her power coiled in my stomach, almost as if it was waiting to be triggered. But I didn’t know what would trigger me.
“Willa has been most peeved about how you were poisoned with food. Have you thought about who it might be?” asked Alizeh as she asked with a concerned look on her face and I sighed.
“The problem has been that almost everyone has come to know that I am not exactly like them and I am something different and people here don’t like different at all. So all I need to do is make sure that I show that I am like them, just a tad bit unknown.”
“That is not physically possible,” said Anora as she went to get another diet coke from the bigass refrigerator that they had sometime stolen and installed in my room. It was like they were completely shameless about what they were doing but I had stopped saying anything at all and I knew that there were a lot of things that I was getting away with just because I was me and just because those men were scary and out of anyone’s control.
And within the next minute I found that Nyra was back in the room, this time she was looking different and she had still scales on her body as she placed the silver crucible in my outstretched hand.
“You are welcome, bitch,” she said as I laughed and started making the set-up.
The silver was supposed to heat up quickly and I was supposed to do this while chanting so I said,” Guys, there might be an explosion, so you have to keep distance.”
I poured the dark purple potion I had already made and then allowed it to froth and bubble while I uncorked the vial of Wilhelm’s blood.
“Ahh…blood of the forsaken,” said Mara as I did not dare look back towards her as I wanted to ask how she knew but I poured seven drops of his blood in the crucible as there was a hissing sound and slowly the potion started frothing even more and turned completely black and as I turned the heat off it gradually settled at the bottom of the crucible as dark powder.
“Was this supposed to happen?” I asked as I watched the powder.
“You are supposed to store it. The magic remains for a fortnight and you have to apply it on your eyelids to see what you wish to be revealed,” said Mara with a smile as she stood staring at the powder and I nodded.
“How do you know all this, Mara?” asked Nyra, iterating the same thing that I was going on in my mind.
“I read, bitch,” she replied back, not quelling my curiosity for even one bit.
