Chapter 36 — I’m Married?!

It had been weeks since Ace treated Thea as if she was a delicate flower that should be taken care of. Right after Ace washed her in the bath, they left the bathroom as if nothing happened. However, he became gentler and more caring.

They stayed together another night, and he touched her as if she was fragile enough to break from a simple squeeze. It was different from his usual roughness, but it was such a great experience. It was closer to making love.

“Watch where you’re going, girl!” a sharp voice said, snapping Thea out of her daydreams. She lifted her head to see a woman. “Do you know who you’re dealing with? Don’t just stand there, make way!” she shouted until her veins were visible in her neck.

She saw a woman with blonde hair and a demonic feeling surrounding her. She was tall and beautiful but her rude attitude couldn’t be hidden by makeup. She wore a white long-sleeved shirt with a short skirt and knee-length socks that hugged her curves. A wild one! She was actually wearing a school uniform. Two other women stood with the blonde-haired demon.

“Sorry. I’ll get out of your way,” Thea said and was about to walk away when the woman gripped her wrist tightly. It was so tight that Thea thought her bones might break into pieces.

“You idiot! Don’t you know I’m a highly respected person? How could you walk away like you didn’t bump me?!” The blonde girl’s brown eyes flickered with a hint of wickedness, and she smiled sarcastically. Some students near them instantly stopped to watch.

Thea sighed and shrugged her shoulders. Her graduation was happening in two weeks, so she asked Ace if she could go to campus to gather her documents. Since she was living in his place, her freedom was now limited. Even school was not an exception.

“I already apologized. What else do you want?!” Thea asked while looking at her. Students from different professions were walking rapidly by them. Stallion University was the most popular and well-known school in the city. The Walker family owned the school, and it was originally from the Philippines.

There were at least fifteen buildings and each one had about thirty classrooms. Since Stallion University was rather large and popular, Thea didn’t know every student there. Nevertheless, she was about to graduate anyway.

“Look here, bitch! I am the queen of this campus and you either apologize while kneeling or get lost.” The two women standing with the blonde woman smirked and glared at Thea as if she was the most pathetic person that they had ever met. Thea rolled her eyes and pinned them with a deadly gaze.

“Don’t you dare call me bitch!” Thea exclaimed and looked away. Her blood boiled after hearing the word ‘bitch.’ Maybe because when she was young, she often heard other people calling her mother a bitch.

Although Thea’s father loved her mother and they were quite wealthy before they died, some people couldn’t accept the fact that a poor woman married a handsome and wealthy man. Thus, her father's relatives didn’t consider them part of the Ravensdale family. That was also one of the reasons why she didn’t bother to look for them and chose to live on her own after the car crash seventeen years ago.

“Really, huh?” The woman laughed sarcastically and observed Thea from head to toe. “I heard that a woman named Aesthetic Ravensdale got married. I bet it’s an old and ugly man. Considering that she’s a bitch, I guess she wants wealth, doesn’t she? “

Thea was stunned. With her lips slightly parted, she found out that the person in front of her was actually Haley Smith from the wealthy Smith family. It was no wonder why she was not afraid of anything and was so rude.

“Let’s see…” Haley laughed with her two friends. “Knowing that you’re an orphan, I wonder if your old and ugly husband will attend your graduation. That’ll be fun for sure. You’ll be a laughingstock.” With that, they left while discussing how ashamed Thea would be if she showed up with her husband.

“I-I'm…m-married?” she mumbled, then continued walking. She was only here for her documents but who would have thought that someone from the Smith family would say such a thing? How did that awful woman even know Thea? How come she didn’t know she was married? Why was she married? And to who?

Was he old? Was he wealthy? But she didn’t remember marrying anyone. Was it Haley's way of pissing her off? Yes! That was definitely the reason. No matter how much she tried, she couldn’t such an important event happening. She never even signed any contracts except…

Could it be?

She cupped her small face and her lips parted. Weeks earlier, someone had given her some papers and told her to sign the documents. Without even reading it, she signed before the person left in a hurry. With this, her mind was all jumbled and the name of the suspect popped up in her mind.

“The heck?! He tricked me!”
