Mel was sleeping after the doctor left her room. He gave her an injection to relieve her muscle pain and for her to rest.

Doctor will she be okay? Al ask when she saw the doctor coming from the room.

Yes she will be fine. She’s got some bruises on her body of that blow she took. I gave her an injection that will kick her out till tomorrow. She need some bedrest for about two days because of the trauma her body suffered not just physically but mentally as well. She might need someone that have to be with her in this time during the night as well.

Are you afraid that something might happen doctor? Al ask.

She might wake up and think that she is still in that room with these people. She might have some nightmares. That’s the downside of it otherwise she might just wake up and be okay without any nightmares.

I will like to stay with her Ethan says.

That’s good by me Dave says and made a call.

Dave was in a very serious conversation with someone on his phone and after a while he joined the rest.

I just spoke to a good friend of mine in the police. He advised that George was in hospital but after his been stabilised they transferred him over to the prison hospital. There has to be a trail unfortunately, but because they have all the evidence it might go quicker. He will also be transported to a prison in another state and won’t be allowed to come back here. The same will happen to his lady companion.

Dad you’ve really done well Al says.

Mel and the kids cannot live in fear for the rest of their lives because of him. Mel defended herself very well but we don’t know what he might come up with.

That’ true Ethan says. We can never be too sure that he will stay away from her and the kids but we can only hope and pray that they will agree to take him to another state. Mel has lost too much because of him.

Speaking of which Dylan says. I have spoken to a contact of mine. They are busy going through his accounts and his house will go on sale, every little penny that he has will be checked for. He took from Mel almost 500 000 dollars so we plan on getting her something back Dylan says.

I would like to go home and get some clothes Ethan says.

That’s okay Ethan then we will see you later Liz says.

Al can I please ask that you keep an eye on Mel for me please? Ethan asks.

Sure don’t worry, you can go and I will watch her for you.

Dylan’s phone rang and he stepped away and answered it. he then came back shortly after that and advised that they found some information and will be sending it to his office.

I will see everyone later after they went through the information to see if we can recover anything he says and left.

Ethan followed soon after him.

I am going to take a hot bath love Liz says and made her way to the bedroom.

I will join you shortly love Dave says.

Ethan arrived and then walked in with his bag and laptop.

Hello everyone. Did Mel open her eyes as yet? Ethan ask.

No she is still sleeping Al says. She also wishes that Mel would just wake up and they could talk about everything. She was concern that Mel was not going to be the same when she wakes up.

I will be in the room with Mel now and will try and get some work done Ethan says. He got into the room and kissed her on the cheek.

I never got to ask you that question my love but hopefully I will do that soon he says and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Ethan got out and went to sit on the bed next to Mel. He opened his laptop and looked at the work that he wants to complete but then his phone rang.

Hi Ethan Dylan says.

Hi Dylan Ethan replies.

Do you have your laptop with you? Dylan ask.

Yes I was busy on it before you called Ethan replies.

Great Dylan says. I will send you information of George. The source of mine really went deep into his profile.

You may send it to me and I will have a look Ethan says and they hung up the call.

Dylan’s email came through and Ethan went through every piece of information in front of him. there was just over three hundred thousand in an account. He didn’t owe any money on the house that they lived in because he covered payment with some of Mel’s money even the car that he was driving was paid up. Most of his salary went to alcohol while Mel was struggling to pay her school fees and provide for her children.

Ethan received another email from Dylan.

What do you want me to do bro? Dylan ask. Do I sell his house and car?

Let’s wait for Mel to open her eyes to decide. Thank you for the info buddy. I will speak to her and say you waiting for an answer Ethan advised.

That night he couldn’t help but to feel bad for Mel because of what she went through. The kids that wants to be assured that no one will ever harm them again.

He fell asleep with his arms around Mel’s waist. He would so badly love to make her his wife but he doesn’t know how she would feel about that.

Ethan woke up the following morning and was greeted with a beautiful smile.

Good morning love Mel greeted.

Good morning my baby he says and moved closer to kiss her.

How you feeling he asks.

I’m well rested my love but what are you doing here? she asks smiling.

The doctor suggested that someone stay with you through the night he says.

Oh okay but why. He gave you’re an injection for the pain and said that you might experience some nightmares of everything that happened. I’m happy that you okay my love Ethan says and then hugged her.

What is your plans for the day? Ethan asks.

I am going to work my love Mel says and got up.

But you need to rest he replies.

I did she replies back.

We have two meetings today and I don’t want to miss that she says.

She walked to her walk in close and took some clothes out.

My love I will go and get some coffee foe you Ethan says and walked towards the door but she stopped him. she walked up to him and hugged him tightly.

Thank you for loving me the way you do. I appreciate you very much and I know my kids see you as their dad. Thank you for allowing them to call you dad. You are truly an amazing guy Ethan and I am so lucky to have you in my life she says.

You wanted to ask me something Mel reminded him

Yes I do but let me come over to the office later and I will ask you okay? he says and left the room to get coffee.

Everyone was surprised including Ethan when Mel entered the dining room for breakfast.

You look absolutely beautiful sister Al says.

Thanks sis I really just want to get busy now.

That’s a good thing my child Dave says and Liz nodded her head.

Maybe you should also be considering going away for a couple of days Dave says again.

I can’t really go now dad. We have work to do and then we will see after that Mel replies.

I would like to take the kids to Disneyland but we will have to wait till Mel is ready to go Ethan says.

I know they will love to go there Al says with a smile.

That’s true Mel replies.

Maria was also up but kept busy in the kitchen. Mel went to her when she realised this and she was not happy at all.

Mama I asked you nicely not to stress about anything at all.

I’m so used to working as the maid that I can’t stop working she replies.

Now that is going to change mama, we are going to build you a beautiful house and you won’t feel the need to do anything for anyone Mel replied.

That’s nice my child but what will I be doing to stay alive Maria asked again.

You can do little jobs for me at the office Mel replied.

That sounds good enough Maria says and hugged Mel.

Are you ready to leave sis? Al ask.

Yes I am she replies and grabbed her bag and went outside.

I thought you were driving with me baby Ethan says.

Not today love. It’s our first day and I would like Al and myself to do it together she replies. But you are more than welcome to come and visit me later at work she says and smiled at him. see you later love she says and kissed him goodbye. They decided to let the twins stay at home for the day but they have to go back to school the next day.
