To Maria this was totally a new experience. They never knew what it was to be pampered so much. She was always hardworking and had a lot of love for the kids of the orphanage because once upon a time she was an orphan too. She had a little bitter sweet feel inside of her heart. She was hurt by the man she loved just before they were supposed to get married and she was never interested in men again.

Mama the lady is waiting for you to do your hair Mel says.

Oh okay Maria says and went to go sit in the chair.

So what would you like me to do with your hair today mam? the lady asks.

I don’t really know Maria replies.

Mel stepped closer and had a look at Maria’s hair.

I would like you to cover the greys and cut her hair into a shoulder length bob Mel says and looked at Maria in the mirror. Don’t be worried mama she knows what she’s doing and you going to look great Mel says and gave Maria and the hairdresser some space.

They left the spa and went straight back to Ethan’s house where he was waiting on them.

Hi ladies Ethan greeted, you look great Maria the hairstyle really suites you he says.

I spoke to one of the brokers and they advised that there was some money available to you. This was for a life policy that your dad took out. There is also the house that you grew up in Ethan says.

What about the house? Mel ask with big eyes.

The broker advised me that the money of the house was claimed by a man with the name George. A letter was send to your house and he got the letter and opened it. He claimed that you are too busy and asked him to take the paperwork back for the money to be paid to you. The person that finalised the paperwork and made the payment into George’s account.

What? Why didn’t he or she check with me first?

Because this person is a crook too my baby he says.

My word, Maria says with her hand in front of her mouth.

They shared the money my love, obviously George took the bigger amount Ethan says.

I am sick to my stomach to hear this Mel says. I cannot believe he used my money for his own good.

I need to think what I’m going to do mama but he will not get away with this Mel says.

What time are we supposed to see the broker my baby? Mel ask.

I arranged for him to rather come her Ethan replies.

That’s great she says and Ethan walked over to her to give her a hug.

Mel made a call back home to tell her father what was happening on their side and he was just as furious.

The guards showed the broker in and Mel and Ethan went to go sit outside on the patio to discuss the matter.

Good day Ms Melissa I’m John McKenzie. I’m a financial broker and I would like to conclude your matter today if possible.

Good day John, please call me Melissa. Yes it would be good if everything can be done soon as possible please.

Let sit down and hear what needs to happen Ethan suggests.

Everyone sat down and John starting taking out documents. He handed it to Mel and she showed it to Ethan after she was done. She felt that she could trust Ethan as he has much more money than her inheritance from her parents and won’t harm her in any way.

Ethan went through the paperwork and then looked at John.

As you can see Mr Scott the paperwork is very standard and we would like to get this transaction done as soon as possible. All we need is your signature and details of your bank for the money to be transferred into. Your money will reflect 24 hours later into your account.

Yes sir there will be interest added to the amount as well. if you look on page 3 you will see the interest amount up to today reflecting on there John says.

Mel signed the documents and provided her banking details and John le4ft after that providing her with proof of the paperwork.

I am baby thank you for assisting me in this matter she says and hugged him again.

I want to buy mama a little house sweetheart Mel says. Nothing big, just something small for herself.

I thought you would want to stay with her? Ethan says.

I think she needs to have her own space and we can visit at any time she replies.

That’s also good yes, let she live a good life without having to care for anyone else but herself he says.

Besides you and the kids will move in with me shortly Ethan says and smiled waiting for her to say no.

Really I just pushed my luck but I will really like that love he says and kissed her lips softly.

Let me go and see what mama is doing she says and was about to walk away when Ethan spoke again.

Baby I have a place that you can convert into a beautiful small but luxury home. It is located just two blocks from here.

That sounds good love but why did you purchase it in the first place if you don’t want to use it? Mel ask.

I bought that place about ten years ago and never broke it down although I planned to so many times. We build houses around that place but I never got time to do something there. The houses we build was all big family homes and that place was going to be small and intimate for two people. I want you to design the best house ever for Maria on that piece of land.

I’m not really comfortable taking the money from you baby but if you pay for the land then I want my team to build the house for Maria Ethan says and walked closer to her and looked her in the eye. So what do you say her ask?

Okay, that’s a deal Mel says and smiled at him.

Let’s seal the deal with a kiss Ethan whispers and kissed her lips soft but long.

Ethan received a call from Trevor the driver that picks the kids up and Mel left the room to see what Maria was doing.

What do you mean the kids are gone Trevor? Ethan shouted.

Mel and Maria was on their way back down to meet up with him when she heard Ethan shouting.

What about my kids? Mel ask and came closer very quick.

Trevor called but I could not make out what he was saying love Ethan says with dear written all over his face.

Let’s go to Al’s house Ethan says. Trevor mentioned that he was on his way there.

Mel was quiet and got into the car with Maria following her.

I’m so sorry my love I really thought that Trevor was the right person to protect the kids Ethan says but Mel still kept quiet.

They got to the house in no time and everyone was standing outside.

Trevor I trusted you with the kids Ethan shouted and walked towards him.

No but’s Trevor I was very specific. You don’t let the kids out of your site ever Trevor shouted.

Sir … no Trevor I don’t want any excuses from you at all Ethan shouted again. You of all people Trevor. You better pray that nothing happened to my kids Ethan says very firm.

Mel was still very quiet and looked at everyone.

What happened Trevor? Dave asked.

Mr Dave I was sitting in the car until the bell rang and I got out. Everything was okay until a lady walked pass claiming that she was about to give birth. She asked me to help her and I did so. I totally got distracted and then next moment I heard the kids screaming and a car pulled away with them Trevor says looking down. I am really sorry I will help search for them.
