Chapter 9 He Left
“Mhm~”
“My head hurt…” I groaned, my eyes still closed, but my hand was moving to touch my head which was aching so badly. I could feel the sun shine on my face which made me even more lazy to open my eyes, but when the aches became too much, I had no other option than to wake up fully.
Slowly, my eyes opened but I immediately covered my eyes from the blinding light that pierced through the windows. I frowned, a bit annoyed and frustrated.
“Who the hell had pulled the window open when they clearly knew how much I hate that?!” I mumbled in annoyance, then finally opened my eyes. But then, they flashed in confusion as I stared at the wall in a daze.
Where am I?
I continued to stare at the wall in a daze, until everything flashed in my head, Marcus losing control, the way he had pushed me, our kiss, and the most exciting of all…. He had fucked an omega in front of me!
My eyes widened in shock as the memories came rushing in, I didn't know when I jolted up, but it seemed it strained my head as a terrible ache hit me, making me suck my breath.
“Argh… fuck! I didn't even drink!” I cried out, rubbing the side of my head, with my moist eyes. But then, my fingers suddenly paused and my eyes flashed with confusion, I looked around the room and recognised it as the room I had been brought to when I had come.
“How did I get here?! Who had brought me back? If I remember correctly, Marcus had lost control of his energy after spilling his seeds. Unlike what I heard about other Alphas who immediately become calm after sex, I remember the omega passed out completely, and me…”
Yes, what happened to me? Why don't I have any memories of what happened? Everything remains blank which scares me but also makes me nervous.
I tilted my head to the side, trying to think hard, but my headache just became worse, so I stood up, walked past the room to the washroom, and let the water from the shower caress my head.
Come to think of it, it's just been 3 days since I came to Alpha Marcus’s house but a lot has happened. Isn't this too early?
I sighed. “I think I need some time to myself. I need to think.” I said firmly, then continued to bathe, but still, I can't get the confusion out of my head.
I stopped at the top of the staircase, fully dressed, and I looked down from where I was, but was surprised to see the difference in the house. The large house was bustling with people unlike the fearful silence of yesterday.
I gulped from surprise, narrowed my eyes in deep thought, then decided to go downstairs and I did as I thought.
The moment I reached downstairs, the maid who was cleaning a vase near the staircase looked at me, dipped her head in a bow, “Good morning, Miss Elena. The butler had told us to let you know that your breakfast is ready anytime you come down.”
I raised an eyebrow in surprise, then I immediately came back to my senses and gave her a nod with a shallow smile on my face. I looked around the large sitting room—The maids moved around, working and cleaning up without stopping, I saw the guards that I hadn't seen yesterday stand around the room, oozing of professional aura, their faces serious, and I just knew from the aura that surrounded them that they weren't just Betas, but Alphas. Though they were the lowest class of Alphas, which is the “S Rank” Alphas, it was still crazy to see them being used as guards.
Well, not really shocking when it comes to the great and majestic SS+ Alpha Marcus.
I took a deep breath amidst my confusion, squirmed my face into a small smile, then walked to the dining room, but my eyes couldn't help but continue to roam around the room, just maybe, I’d see that man but unfortunately for me, he wasn't anywhere around the sitting room.
My eyes dimmed with sadness. I really want to see him. I want to check what he feels, how he sees me and what he thought after what had happened between us. He wouldn't deny it, right?
My fist clenched to my sides, and I became dazed just from thinking about it.
“You’re here, Miss Elena?”
A voice snapped me back to my senses. I raised my head only to meet the kind gaze of a middle-aged man wearing a butler’s clothes. My eyes lit up a bit, and I walked towards him at a large pace.
“Good morning.” I greeted awkwardly.
“Good morning, Miss. Please sit while the maids serve your breakfast.” The butler said politely but I was surprised.
My brows locked in a tight frown, “I— hmm… Don't I need to wait for the Alpha to eat breakfast together?” I couldn't help but ask.
To be honest, I just want to know where Marcus is.
The butler who had his back turned to me as he prepared to enter the kitchen paused, he turned around with a frown, “Huh?! Miss doesn't know?!”
I felt my heart skip a beat, and a bad feeling crept in. What the hell was going on?!
My fingers clenched, “K..know what?!” I asked back, my eyes fixed on him.
“Well, the Alpha left in the middle of the night after calling us back. He won't be back until 2 days later. But,” He paused, smiled at me, but my lips were too stiff to even return his smile, “..You don't need to worry, Miss. The Alpha had arranged things for you. He arranged your college which the driver will take you to in 2 hours, he also made sure everything is settled here including security.” he smiled proudly after he finished explaining.
My heart beat faster, my head lowered, my fist clenched tightly, and my eyes turned moist and red from anger.
“He left… he fucking left after what had happened?! Don't I deserve an explanation?! Or does he think I’ll lose my memories and forget everything that happened yesterday night?!”
My eyes became even angrier, and my chest heaved.
I feel so disappointed. I had thought… maybe… I—
“Seems everything was just a dream. Maybe I'm the delusional one. I had thought he would give me an explanation today. Even if it was to scold me, then I’d know I'm at least on his mind. But I'm wrong… he doesn't even give a fuck! He doesn't care!”
“Miss? Miss..? Miss Elena?!”
The call of my name snapped me back to my senses, I raised my head up and glared at the innocent butler, I couldn't help but grit my teeth when I saw the surprise on his face.
“Are you fine, Miss?” he asked, and I could see the concern on his face and this made me realise that I wasn't in my home. This is the house of the powerful Alpha, Marcus and I have to be careful.
I took a deep breath, blinked my eyes to clear my moist eyes, then I showed a smile on my face, even if it looked fake, even if I was dying of curiosity and anger inside me.
I sat back down on the chair, and my breakfast was brought to me. I thanked the omega maid, then began to take a little bite of my food.
As I ate, I felt my eyes water again, but I sniffed it in. But suddenly, what had happened last night flashed in my mind again, and my face turned red, but come to think of it.
The tied-up omega… What happened to her? Besides…
My eyes lit up, and I stood up roughly. Without caring for the gazes of everyone in the dining, I turned and rushed back upstairs, my feet making sounds as I climbed the stairs and when I reached the intersection, I didn't go straight to my room, but turned and walked around, going straight to that familiar place, and there it was—The sexual room.
My eyes shone with delight, my fist folded, and my body trembled.
I know clearly everything that happened yesterday wasn't a dream, and the only way to confirm it is to check this room.
I bit my lips, then with determined steps, I walked towards the door, held the handle, and pulled, but,
“Miss Elena, the assistant of Alpha who is here to take you to register in college is here! Please, come down!”
