Chapter 65 Lilith Was Slapped
Chapter 65 Lilith Was Slapped
Elena Pov
We all looked at Marcus, and even I was shocked.
What did he mean by the question? Besides, did he just call me his little omega girl?
My lips parted as I stared at him, but Marcus didn’t even spare me a glance. He turned his eyes from the teacher to Lilith, who stood behind her, and almost immediately, Lilith shivered, her face twisting as she bowed.
Looking at her pale face, my lips twitched into a sneer, and I looked away as if I couldn’t stand the sight of her.
So the arrogant Lilith could also lower her head and act timid? Why wasn’t she talking now? She had kept talking about the connections she had in school. Besides, her parents still hadn’t arrived, talk more of the ‘connection’.
Though it wasn’t strange, even I went stiff whenever I saw Marcus.
But I wasn’t prepared for what happened next.
Marcus’ eyes scanned Lilith. His expression was calm, but that didn’t reduce the tension in everyone’s hearts. Instead, it increased it.
I held my breath, wondering what he wanted to do. But the next thing, Marcus sighed, then nodded.
His fingers tapped on the table next to us, making my heart rate drop and rise again.
Tap.
Tap.
Then he paused before nodding calmly.
“Seems she won.”
His tone came out calm, but anyone could hear the arrogance.
My face flushed red.
Just then, Marcus pushed me up gently, then suddenly stood up. His voice, which had been calm, turned serious and grave.
“But I’m not satisfied.”
No one dared to breathe loudly. Even the teacher’s hands tightened around the papers she was holding
Marcus didn’t look at anyone and only rested his gaze on Lilith, whose legs had turned to jelly.
“Not only did you bully my little girl, but you dared threaten her. Who do you think you are?!”
The air in the room surged crazily, and a terrifying dominant force landed in the room, throwing everyone off guard.
My heart pounded and my body trembled. Somehow, the urge to bow under the pressure filled me. My blood surged crazily.
“Urggh!”
“Plop!”
I breathed heavily, then gasped when I saw Lilith’s knees weaken as she fell to the ground, her body trembling like crazy.
But what worried me the most was the sight of Becca, whose body had long gone weak under the released energy, as she fell to the ground, her face pale.
My eyes widened. I prepared to rush toward her, but my feet were stuck, and I couldn’t even take care of myself.
Then imagine the pressure Lilith felt.
Marcus, as if he didn’t even notice what was going on in the room, pressed on Lilith. He moved toward her, his robe flowing behind him.
I held my breath as I watched him stop in front of her and look down at her, his eyes twirling with alpha pheromones that were enough to kill anyone.
My fingers curled into my palms, and I didn’t even realize I was holding my breath.
Just then, Marcus frowned.
“I could hear your arrogance from afar. You’re just a Beta, and you dared look down on omegas? Who gave you that power?!”
Lilith’s eyes had long become bloodshot, her face white with fear, and she kept shaking her head as if trying to defend herself.
“I—I didn’t. No… she… caused it first. I—”
My eyes turned cold at her words.
Even at this time, she was still trying to defame me?!
My fists clenched as I glared at Lilith, my breath heavy. Then I turned to Marcus. I looked at his face, a trace of worry in my eyes.
Did he believe her?
I unconsciously pinched the corner of my shirt until the fabric wrinkled in my hand.
But Marcus wasn’t even looking at her. Instead, he stretched his hand to the back, and then that gentle guard handed a pad to Marcus. Before anyone could react, the sound of a video being played echoed, and to my shock, it was the voices of Lilith and me fighting.
The air in the room froze. Even Lilith’s face lost its last trace of confidence.
I looked at Marcus in disbelief, then at the guard, who raised an eyebrow when he met my eyes.
When had that guard left? I didn’t even notice him. And how did he get the surveillance footage of what happened in the room so fast?
My heart thumped heavily as I listened.
Finally, the loud fighting sounds stopped. By that time, the teacher looked at Lilith with a frown, and all eyes focused on her.
The room fell silent again.
My fingers twisted my clothes, my lips pursed.
Just then, Lilith, whose face was flushed red, suddenly changed. She gritted her teeth and looked up, her face stubborn.
“W-what? Why is everyone looking at me like it’s my fault? Clearly, it’s that omega—”
She paused, gulped, and immediately changed her words.
“E-Elena who started it first. She had left the hostel for days only to come back and claim the best bed. Why can she sleep on that bed?! I had chosen it, and it belonged to me!”
I frowned and was about to argue, but Rina cut in.
“That’s a lie, Lilith! Becca clearly warned you that the bed space belonged to Elena and that she was still coming back, but you insisted on placing your bag there. Besides, you were the one who provoked Elena again and again even when she kept ignoring you!”
Rina breathed heavily and pointed at the shirt in my hand.
“…Look at that shirt. Not only did you shove down her clothes, you poured down her cosmetics and stained everything! The evidence is clear. How could you tell lies?!”
My eyes quivered as all eyes turned to the stained shirt in my hand.
Though the others frowned and turned to glare at Lilith, my heart pounded when Marcus looked at the shirt, then his eyes stopped on my face. I immediately avoided his gaze, my ears became hot, and my skin turned red. My fingers quickly folded the stained fabric, trying to hide it from his view.
D-did he recognize the shirt?
I took a deep breath, then sneaked a glance at Marcus, but he wasn’t looking at me anymore, which made me release a breath I didn’t even know I was holding.
Finally, I turned my attention to Lilith, who was stunned after being exposed.
It seemed she hadn’t expected Rina to speak, and even I hadn’t expected that. But Lilith still didn’t feel apologetic. Her face was flushed, but her eyes still contained that stubbornness.
She gritted her teeth and tried to stand up, but just then, Marcus raised a finger and a visible pink energy left his fingertips and hit Lilith’s knees.
“Ahh!”
She cried out and fell back onto her knees.
Everyone turned to Marcus. Teacher Smith and Rina instinctively took a step back without realizing it.
I looked at him, but Lilith’s voice pulled my attention back.
Her eyes turned red as she glared at us.
“You all bully me! You bullied me! Just wait for me to call my guardian.”
She cried, then shook as her trembling fingers brought out her phone.
I frowned, a bit worried.
She had been talking about this guardian forever, and somehow, though I haven’t met him, I knew this Dean must be powerful.
I bit the inside of my cheek until it hurt, my fingers curling tighter around the shirt.
Would it cause Marcus trouble if the person was powerful?
Just as I was lost in my worries, I suddenly heard a sneer.
“Your guardian?” he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. “You mean, him?”
Everyone followed his gaze to the entrance, and there we saw the Dean, whose face was trembling with anger as he glared at Lilith.
My eyes widened in shock.
But before I could even understand what was happening, the Dean, who had been standing at the entrance, suddenly rushed toward the stunned and confused Lilith, then—
Slap!
“You idiot! Do you want to die?!”
Nobody rushed to help Lilith. The entire office stayed frozen.
“Uncle?!”
Lilith held her face, blood coating her lips. We all stared at the ruthless college Dean in shock.
But the Dean didn’t even notice. Immediately after he slapped her, he turned and bowed to Marcus.
“M-master Marcus, I apologize on my niece’s behalf. She has always been arrogant since childhood, and it’s my fault I didn’t discipline her. I-I’ll make sure I discipline her when we get home. Please, d-don’t—”
“Uncle!”
Lilith cried out, disbelief on her face.
But the Dean turned and glared at her.
“You—shut up!”
I watched this speechlessly.
What the hell?! Turns out Lilith’s so-called connection, the Dean is her uncle and he even knows Marcus?, but who can tell me why the Dean is apologizing to Marcus?
But if even I am confused, what about the others?
I looked at the faces of Rina and the teacher, and only when I saw their mouths agape as they looked at the scene in shock did I calm down.
Just then, Marcus’ cold voice sounded.
“Just discipline?” he snorted. “Then what would happen to my little girl whom she bullied?”
My heart tightened, and I froze as all eyes fell on me again.
The Dean looked at me, then his eyes lit up as he rushed to me.
To my shock, he bowed.
“Student, I’m sorry for what happened. I apologize on behalf of my niece. I’ll make sure she apologizes and compensates for the ruined clothes and other things. Also, she won’t appear in front of you again or anywhere around the country!”
“Uncle?! No! No, I’m not leaving. I won’t leave!”
I frowned as I looked at Lilith.
Isn’t this too much?
I had expected that she might apologize, and the Dean might compensate for my ruined things, but making her leave the country?
Somehow, I felt uncomfortable. But when I looked at Marcus, he looked overly calm, like he had expected this.
My head lowered, and conflict filled my eyes.
I would be spending three years in this college, and if word got out that someone left because of me, wouldn’t things get worse? Who would want to associate with me?
My fingers twisted the shirt, and suddenly, I raised my head, then turned to Marcus.
Hesitation flashed in my eyes, My hand stopped halfway before slowly reaching the last few inches then I grab his shirt.
Marcus stiffened, then looked down at his shirt, then back at me. He frowned.
“What?”
My body trembled under his gaze, and I looked down. But my voice still rang out.
“I… there is no need to leave the college. Just compensation.”
The room froze, and shocked eyes turned toward me.
I shifted uncomfortably, then lowered my head even more.
Just then, Marcus groaned lowly.
“Not ruthless enough.”
