Chapter 60 New Beta Roommate Looking For Trouble 2
Chapter 60 New Beta Roommate Looking For Trouble 2
Elena Pov
Finally, I looked up properly.
The room fell silent after Lilith’s declaration, and this was the first time I had experienced someone as shameless as this.
I looked straight at her, my eyes slightly wide. Even Becca stopped crying, and her mouth fell open as she also looked at Lilith, whose chin was still raised.
I took a deep breath.
But why do I still feel the boiling fire inside me?
This time, I closed my eyes, then suddenly clasped my palms together like I was praying. Then, without caring about the confused gazes, I took another deep breath.
Oh Elena… calm down. You really can’t cause any trouble here. This is not abroad where you fight as you wish. Don’t throw blows.
I took another deep breath, and my lips kept chanting words to press down the raging fire inside me.
As I closed my eyes, the face of my father suddenly appeared in my mind.
“Elena, promise Father that as you live with your uncle Marcus and start college, you won’t fight.” I could still remember Father’s serious face as he waited for me to promise him.
“You’re an omega and not an Alpha! You should be gentle and not wild. Promise Father now. No fighting. No racing. No swearing. No causing trouble!”
For a moment, my jaw clenched so hard it hurt.
I wanted to hit something. I wanted to throw Lilith out of the window. But… Father had made me promise.
The warnings hit me, and the promise I made to him rushed back. Almost immediately, the raging fire inside me.
I released a breath, then slowly opened my eyes and settled them on Lilith, who watched me with weird eyes.
“I’m sorry, but this is my bunk and I really don’t want to let it go. So,” I smiled politely, my tone reasonable, “as roommates, why don’t we not fight? You go sleep on the available bunk, and I’ll sleep on my usual one.”
I gave another bright smile, and without even looking at the stunned faces, I walked around Lilith to the other bed and also ignored Rina, who kept giving me weird glances.
Behind me, I could almost feel Lilith’s anger rising. It was as if my refusal to fight had offended her even more.
I picked up my nightgown again and put it on. But just as I unwrapped the towel around my hair, I suddenly felt the wind blow by my side, but before I could react, I felt a push behind me.
“Ahhh!!”
My eyes widened as I fell forward, then—
Bang!
I gasped, then sucked in a cold breath as my knees hit the bed frame.
“Goodness— Elena!”
I heard a loud cry, and before I could look up, Becca had rushed towards me. But to everyone’s shock, before she could reach me, she was suddenly pushed to the side.
“Ahh—”
My eyes widened as I watched Becca fall on the floor. Though she wasn’t injured, I could imagine the impact.
For a second, Becca simply sat there frozen, her face pale from fright.
She hadn’t even done anything.
My lips pursed, and slowly, I turned to look at Lilith, who didn’t seem to have had enough. She pointed at me, her face vicious as she roared.
“Damn you! How dare you ignore me?! You’re just some weak omega, and I can squish you into pieces!”
Her voice became louder as she yelled.
“I’m a beta, and the only one who has the right to speak in this room is she—” she pointed at Rina, who had stood up in shock, “but as for you, the lowest of all, you should listen to us in this room! Do you know who my father is?! Do you know I can send you out of the college?!”
I looked down. My eyes became colder and colder as she continued. The fire I had tried to suppress began to roar again. But this time, I didn’t stop it.
Not because she insulted me. Not because she called me weak. But because Becca was trembling on the floor.
Just then, she laughed, then pointed straight at my nose.
“What? Feeling aggrieved?! Omega, you should have listened to me when I asked you to scram away from this bed! Who do you think you are to fight me?!”
Just as she spoke, she suddenly rushed towards my bed, and the next thing I heard was—
Bang!
“Take your dirty clothes out of my wardrobe!”
Bang! Bang!
Clothes were being thrown on the floor. The ones I had carefully hung and even those folded. The ones bought by the butler using Marcus’s money.
At first, I didn’t react. I didn’t look at her, but instead looked at my bruised knee with a dazed expression.
The noise in the room became more intense. But not once did I look up.
I could hear the footsteps of Rina, who had been watching this with amusement, now rushing towards Lilith as she yelled for her to stop.
I could hear Becca crying timidly. And I could hear the continuous cursing and my clothes being thrown on the ground.
But just then, a loud sound of glass breaking snapped through my thoughts and woke me up.
Bang!
“Ahhh!!”
That was Becca’s surprised yell.
I didn’t know why, but my heart skipped a beat. Slowly, I looked towards the sound, but what I saw made my brain explode.
On the ground were my clothes, and on top of them were my broken facial treatment and makeup products. Creams leaked into the fabric and glass fragments glittered everywhere.
My lips trembled. My fists clenched tightly on my knees.
My head kept humming with the shattering sounds of glass and Lilith’s continuous yells.
I looked at the stained, scattered clothes, then at the shattered glass around them. My eyes turned red, but slowly, I raised my head and looked at Lilith, who was now facing Rina, who had come to push her away.
The unapologetic arrogance could still be heard.
“You— Rina, why’re you supporting her?! She is just some weak omega! Besides, it’s not my fault. She should have moved when I asked her to. Also, these are just some cheap products and clothes.”
She suddenly smirked arrogantly, then moved to step on a black shirt and even twisted her dirty soles on it.
I couldn’t hear anything. I couldn’t even say anything. My body kept trembling, my eyes stung painfully, but became even more bloodshot.
My breathing became heavier. I looked down at the shirt she was stepping on.
That shirt… that—
My nails pierced straight into my palms. For a second, I couldn’t breathe.
Out of everything in the room… Why did it have to be that shirt?
That shirt was what I stole from the laundry. It belonged to Marcus! I could remember him wearing it. How I secretly stole it so I could wear his scent around my body and ease my longing.
But that same shirt was now being stepped on.
“…Hey, omega. You can calculate how much it costs, and I’ll send you double the amount—”
This time, I couldn’t hold back the rage. I couldn’t even remember the promise made to my father or the strict rules of the campus. All I saw was red.
A voice in my head screamed for me to stop.
Father’s warning. The campus rules… Everything. But this time, I couldn’t listen.
I didn’t let her finish her words. Aggression poured out of me, and before anyone could react, I stood up from the bed, then rushed towards the arrogant girl.
My fingers folded into a tight fist.
Then—
A heavy punch! On her face!
“Ahhhh!”
(What do you think about this Elena? 😂)
